Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy - Chapter 3189
Chapter 3189: Beast
Pearl took on his beast form, a tiger with white fur and no stripes. The sight caused the other tigers to glare at him in anger, not so much for his form, but rather for the fact that someone as impure as him had ended up with a very strong bloodline.
Shanqiu ate a healing pill, her ruined eye reforming as the broken spear fell out. Her painful grunts were still audible, though they lessened as time went on.
She looked toward Pearl, wishing to deliver him a world of pain. Only, she saw 5 of him. For a moment, she wondered if something was still wrong with her eye, but Pearl was moving in different directions, which told her that it wasn’t her vision that was at fault.
It was Pearl’s White Tiger’s Steps.
‘5?!’ Bai Shanqiu looked at Pearl in shock. The amount of duplicates one could create with the White Tiger’s Steps was considered to become inconceivably difficult as more was added.
Bai Yanbei’s 3 duplicates were already considered a great showcase of talent. Anyone with 4 duplicates would be considered the cream of the crop. And yet, Pearl had 5.
“Stop him!” Bai Yanbei shouted, pulling Shanqiu out of her lapse in attention.
She tried to muster more strength from the array, only to find someone else making use of it already. She let go at the last moment, and instead used her Divine Qi to attack Pearl.
Her pink crystal maw formed around her jaw and she jumped toward one of the Pearls. When she finally got close, her eyes widened in shock as she realized that Pearl’s physical form was larger than her by nearly a fifth.
She still attacked him, biting down on his neck. But as she did, Pearl’s claw came down on her as well. She took the brunt of the force and bit down. In exchange for taking on a very painful strike, she killed one of Pearl’s duplicates.
Another one of Pearl’s duplicates was stopped by Bai Yanbei, and a third one was barely kept at bay by another tiger in the array. Two other Pearls, however, managed to push past them all and arrived at the group of White Tigers.
Multiple treasures and talismans flew out all around, all of them being thrown at Pearl. One of the two duplicates rushed forward, taking on the power from every treasure.
The last Pearl, now gaining the power from all four dead duplicates, arrived before the group of White Tigers and used his technique.
White Tiger’s Roar.
The roar made the group of White Tigers nearly fall unconscious, surviving merely by a thread. One of those tigers quickly called on the power of the array and charged for Pearl, hoping to kill him.
Pearl raised his paw, golden power surrounding his claw as he used the White Tiger’s Golden Claw technique.
The tiger used the defensive technique almost immediately, but Pearl’s attack never landed on him.
With the White Tiger’s Roar, the majority of the White Tigers had lost their focus, which included the ones suppressing his teleportation.
Pearl arrived in the midst of the dozen or so group of White Tigers and swung.
A single hit was enough to kill 3 of the tigers at once. Then another to kill a fourth one. Before Pearl could go for more, Bai Yanbei had already arrived next to him, his powerful claw swinging at him.
The suppressive power of his Intent fell on Pearl, stopping him from using any spatial techniques once again, forcing him to fight directly, this time without a spear.
This was what Pearl had been waiting for.
He used the Spirit Reversal Technique and teleported away.
Pearl arrived next to Shanqiu, his claw already burning bright with the power of his technique as well as the True Metal Dao. Shanqiu could barely use any of her Qi in time for a defensive technique and was struck true by Pearl.
A side of her face exploded, blood spraying on the battlefield. Pearl pounced on her, tackling her to the ground with the force of his Divine realm body, and smashed his head onto the side of her broken face.
Shanqiu’s skull cracked in a resounding boom, her mind knocked unconscious.
Pearl then bit into her jugular and tore out flesh and blood, killing her completely. With a bloody red maw, he turned toward the remaining White Tigers in the group and gave them a savage grin.
Finally, Pearl looked like the proper beast he was.
5 of the 17 White Tigers died, among them the second Immortal Spirit cultivator. Among the 12 that remained, only Bai Yanbei could possibly defend himself, the rest having no way to do so for themselves.
No words could explain the impending doom the rest of the 11 White Tigers felt for themselves.
“Don’t panic!” Bai Yanbei shouted. “We can still do this. Focus on the array. I just need a good hit to kill him.”
“Do you think you can kill me?”
Bai Yanbei stared directly at Pearl, calculating how he could achieve victory. If he could outspeed Pearl maybe, send one of his tigers as bait while he made his way from the other side, he could maybe catch—
Pearl’s body split again, turning into 5 duplicates.
“If you want to kill me, why kill me once?” Pearl asked. “I’ll give you 5 chances instead.”
Bai Yanbei’s body flickered for a second, duplicating into 3 versions of himself.
“Are you sure 3 is enough?” Pearl asked.
Bai Yanbei said nothing in return. Instead, he instantly turned to 3 different directions at once and ran.
It took everyone, including Pearl, a second to realize that the Immortal Spirit realm White Tiger was tucking its tail and running away.
Pearl sent 3 of himself to chase after Bai Yanbei, the remaining 2 going after the other beasts.
Panic filled the remaining beasts as well, and they too scattered away in all directions. In doing so, they stopped suppressing Pearl’s teleportation.
Killing them all became easy at that point.
