Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy - Chapter 3187
Chapter 3187: More Kills
Bai Yanbei’s attack landed on empty air as Pearl had teleported just moments before it connected. His eyes widened in shock as he hadn’t even seen Pearl move. All those other times, he saw him getting stretched when he moved or attacked, but this time, he had vanished like all the dragons did.
“Damn you pieces of shit!” he shouted. “Why is the restriction not—”
He had only turned around to scold them further when he noticed Pearl at the backline, attacking the tigers there.
Pearl’s spear moved around in a flash, a flurry of strikes shooting forth from his spear as they hit many of the White Tigers at once. Since most of them were weaker in the Immortal Origin and Immortal Transcendent realm, they could not block his attacks as easily.
A few of them died to Pearl’s attacks, while a few of them were injured only. Many defensive treasures activated at once, causing Pearl to teleport away once again.
Bai Yanbei was already by their side to help them, quickly getting the ones that were suppressing his teleportation to hide within the array and focus even more.
“Senior Yanbei, it’s not working,” one of the White Tigers said.
“He can still teleport.”
“Don’t think about that,” Yanbei shouted. “And don’t drop the restriction. Keep it going.”
He knew there were ways to break suppression, but they always had a limit to how much they could be used and how they could be used. Pearl’s teleport had to have come at a cost; as a result, he could not use it as often.
‘There’s a reason he went for those tigers in specific,’ Yanbei thought. ‘He needs to get rid of the suppression as soon as he can.’
Yanbei wasn’t entirely wrong. Using the Spirit Reversal technique had taken away quite a bit of Qi from Pearl to ignore the suppression and use his teleportation technique. However, it wasn’t as heavy an expenditure as the tiger had expected.
He could use it quite often, but he didn’t want to.
Even if there were half as many White Tigers forming the teleportation suppression, it was still strong enough to block Pearl’s dao. And more importantly, Pearl knew that since they were aware of his ability to teleport despite the suppression, they would be on the lookout for it.
So, he could only keep it for very specific moments.
Not that Pearl needed to teleport in the first place.
Pearl’s spear stretched across the length, stabbing directly at one of the other White Tigers, but Yanbei’s figure blurred to the location, blocking the attack before it could land.
Pearl’s eyebrow raised slightly, noticing a soft glow around the tiger.
Yanbei had joined the array as well, now becoming stronger than he was before. If there had not been enough reasons to get rid of the array as quickly as he could, there was now.
Bai Yanbei’s body blurred again and quickly separated into 3 different ones. One remained behind, while the other two dashed forward to fight Pearl.
Despite splitting into 3 parts and being weakened, thanks to the array, each one of Yanbei’s splits was strong enough to fight against Pearl.
The first one arrived, slamming its sharp claws down on Pearl. Pearl blocked the attack with his spear, but he still felt the force of the attack that landed. It was strong enough to send the impact traveling through Pearl’s body.
‘His Spirit is now added onto the White Tiger’s Golden Claw technique he didn’t have before,’ Pearl thought. That had made his attack stronger than before.
Pearl loosened his muscles to let the attack travel through him and let himself be flung backward to soften the blow. He flipped through the air, skidding along the ground as Spear Qi coalesced next to him as the other Bai Yanbei’s claw came down upon him.
Pearl used his Spear Domain to parry the attack, spinning as he let it pass him and stabbed into the heart of this Yanbei. Only, his body glowed with the light of the White Tiger’s Dominating Body technique, completely nullifying all of his force with the one technique.
Pearl stepped to the side and appeared dozens of meters away, getting away from both of the fighters. He immediately targeted another one of the teleport suppressors, only to have the remaining Bai Yanbei stop the attack.
Pearl gritted his teeth, stepping to another side before attacking again.
Bai Yanbei moved again to block this attack as well, but Pearl’s spear bent in an impossible way as space distorted to make his attack reach past Bai Yanbei to reach another White Tiger.
The tiger’s body exploded in a rain of blood and viscera as its torso exploded out through its back, the lifeless eyes continuing to stare with not a single knowledge that it had died.
‘Tsk!’ Pearl thought, angry at how much of his Spiritual energy was used up in that one attack. The distance had been quite far, so the space he distorted had also taken just as much.
Bai Yanbei had enough.
The other two split bodies returned to him and he charged toward Pearl all alone. With the array and all of his powers, his speed was one that outshined every single other tiger in that location, including Pearl.
As he arrived, Pearl felt a strong sense of suppression fall upon him, one that stopped him from not only teleporting but using spatial Daos in general. It was a very strong Intent used by someone at the end of the line, and Pearl knew just the method to take advantage of it.
As the tiger appeared before him, his body split, instantly moving to either side to dodge the tiger’s attack.
Bai Yanbei spent just a second in surprise, only just realizing that Pearl had the White Tiger’s Steps.
The two Pearls, each with their own spears, charged for the tigers that were now on their own. And with a single second of hesitation from Yanbei, he killed two more White Tigers.
His strength was weaker while split, but even a weak Divinity was enough to kill mere Immortals.
