Chapter 453: The Worst Scum In The World
Alex blinked once then twice before looking at Charles, who had several bruises on his face.

“What happened to you?” Alex asked.

“I fell off the stairs,” Charles replied.

He remained still as Nessia tended to his injuries with a cotton bud soaked with a healing potion.

They were currently in the clock tower, so no one would tease the two who had already become a couple.

Alex smiled faintly. “Won’t it be better to go to the infirmary instead?”

“It’s just a scratch,” Charles explained. “There’s no need to go to the infirmary.”

Alex’s smile morphed into a smirk. “I guess you prefer to be treated by Nessia’s tender loving care than the nurses’ punches and kicks. Lin’s and Rin’s healing skills, Heal Slap and Feel Better Fist, are the real deal, but at what cost?”

Charles winced as if he was recalling a very bad memory. The two nurses were very competent, but the way they treated their patients was… rather unique.

Alex even commented that there were many masochists who idolized these two ladies for using the power of brutality to heal any injuries.

“I got injured today in a sparring match and went to the infirmary,” Vaan said, joining the conversation. “But when I got there, Lin only gave me the Feel-Good-Massage. And all the aches I felt disappeared like I had dreamt them up.”

“””What?!”””

Renard’s head snapped back and he looked at Vaan to see if the pretty boy was pulling his leg. From his spot, he could see Alex, Charles, and Chuck looking at Vaan with expressions that surely mirrored his own.

Getting injured during sparring matches was very common, so the students who didn’t have potions would either ask their classmates who knew healing magic to heal them or head to the infirmary to be treated.

It was no surprise that many students preferred to be healed by their friends than the two demonic nurses.

There was even a rumor circulating that Lin and Rin were too lazy to help others and had learnt this brutal way of treatment to reduce their workload!

That way, the students wouldn’t play truant by lazing around in the infirmary because they were too frightened of being beaten up by nurses who could leave no injuries behind as evidence.

“Rin and Lin are actually pretty nice, you know?” Vaan said. “It’s just that massages must actually take a lot of work. When they give me a full-body massage, I can hear them breathe heavily from the exertion.”

“Wait, you mean they massage you while you are naked?” Chuck asked.

“Yes.” Vaan blinked, confused by why Chuck was confused. “That’s normal. How do you expect them to use the massage oil if you don’t take off your clothes? Do you want to wear oily clothes?”

Chuck glanced at Alex, who gave him a nod while sporting a serious expression.

“Mary, can you punch m—ahhh!” Chuck wasn’t able to finish whatever he was going to say because Mary kicked his bum, sending him crashing towards the floor.

Chuck then raised his right hand. No one knew what he was doing until Alex walked over, bent down, and gave him a high five.

Without a second word, the club president lifted his roommate with one hand and walked towards the infirmary with the conviction of soldiers heading to war.

“Umm… is this really how this club works?” Lapiz asked. “Are they really going to the infirmary?”

After joining Endless Horizon, she had experienced many weird things that she hadn’t expected to see in one of the most secretive yet popular clubs in Frieden Academy.

“You’ll get used to it,” Eleanora said while giving the younger girl a few sympathetic pats on the shoulder.

Internally, she was on cloud nine. For her, seeing Chuck suffer was the best thing ever.

If she had gotten her hands on a recording crystal, she would have recorded all the times the troublemaker was beaten up by either Princess Xenia or Mary and rewatched those clips for her own pleasure.

Unfortunately, even though Chuck seemed to be the weakest member of Endless Horizon, the moment he drank his Conqueror’s Heart Potion, Eleanora wouldn’t be a match against him.

Even now, she was still feeling bitter because behind closed doors, she was forced to call him Master. She was still trying to accept this.

She saw that incident as something akin to being bitten by a rabid dog. If she ever received the opportunity to do so, she would kill that accursed dog without a second thought.

“Anyway, let’s forget about those two idiots for now,” Princess Xenia said. “There’s something that I need to share with all of you. Here is the list of the people that will be accompanying us to Solara.”

Mary handed a scroll to Nessia, whom Alex had made vice president.

Nessia glanced at the list, and frowned afterwards.

“Hey, aren’t all of these Chuck’s friends?” Nessia looked at Princess Xenia doubtfully. “They are the troublemakers of each class. How have they become the class representatives on this mission?”

Al Beback – Class 1-A

Chris P. Bacon – Class 1-A

Bill Board – Class 1-B

Paige Turner – Class 1-B

Sal Vage – Class 1-B

Gene Pool – Class 1-D

Stan Dupp – Class 1-D

Polly Teeshan – Class 1-D

Dan Druff – Class 1-E

Luke Warm – Class 1-E

Moe Mentum – Class 1-F

Cliff Hanger – Class 1-F

Princess Xenia pinched the bridge of her nose before gesturing towards Mary.

Mary stepped in bravely to offer the explanation in the princess’s place even as resignation and helplessness were written all over her face. “After getting first-hand information, Chuck informed his… circle of friends about the quest. They conspired to have their names added to the list.”

“Shouldn’t this have been decided by the student council?” Lumi asked. “Why did they approve of this list then?”

“It’s because all of them are very skilled individuals,” Princess Xenia answered. “Although they are troublemakers, they are still geniuses in their own right. The student council believes that once they know what it is like to be responsible for others, they will have a change of heart.”

A minute of silence descended inside the room before a collective sigh escaped the old members’ lips.

“Is it that bad?” Lapiz asked. “I know Paige and Sal. Both of them are very kind people. They even helped me study before the history monthly test.”

Princess Xenia tried to smile diplomatically. “I’m not saying that they’re bad people,” she clarified. “They are just known to cause trouble when given the chance. You’ve been here for a while. You probably think that Chuck is a kind person, right?”

“Well, although he is a little boastful of his good looks, Chuck seems pretty nice to me.” Lapiz blinked. “He hasn’t bothered me since I joined this club. Usually, people stare too much at me because I am an Elf. But he has been treating me like a friend without discrimination.”

“You’re right.” Mary nodded. “But that doesn’t change the fact that he’s still scum. Scum that even innocent baby slimes know to avoid instinctively.”

“I agree,” Eleanora chimed in. “The worst scum in the world.”

Mary and Eleanora stared long and hard at each other before exchanging a fist bump.

Today, their relationship became closer due to a common enemy.

Evangeline, on the other hand, frowned slightly after seeing the list.

As the daughter of the Vampire Lord, she was privy to some confidential information.

And, to her shock, everyone on the list were actually agents of the Demon Worshipers, who had snuck into the academy to gather information.

‘Is this a coincidence?’ Evangeline wondered. Much as Mary and Eleanora seemed to dislike Chuck, she didn’t think he was the kind to cooperate with Demon Worshipers.

She was starting to feel a little anxious about the upcoming trip to Solara because their group would have so many Demon Worshipers Agents with them.

Of course, she and Eleanora were also part of the organization, but she had no intentions of hurting Alex.

‘I need to tell him about this.’ Evangeline narrowed her eyes. ‘That way, Alex will not be caught unprepared.’

Just as she made up her mind, the teleportation circle inside their club room activated.

Everyone gasped after seeing Alex and Chuck enter with black eyes, split lips, and broken dreams.

A moment later, laughter rippled inside the room. The ones laughing the loudest were Eleanora and Lumi, who were both holding their stomachs due to the pain of laughing so much.

Clearly, Lin and Rin hadn’t appreciated these two annoying patients who had tried to get free massages.

After listening to their request, the two nurses had beaten the crap out of them.

Left with no choice, the two had fled straight to the clock tower because that was the only place where the two nurses couldn’t enter so easily.
