Each link tethers my Immortal Emperor’s body to everything around me.

A profound ripple makes its course through space outward with me as its center.

The entire Lower and Upper Realm become one with my consciousness; all of the thoughts and actions of those within it become so simple and obvious. Whether it is common races diving into dungeons to enhance their levels, or divine core holders in the Upper Realm cultivating within the Legacy Domains, it is as though I can feel their every thought and even comprehend the paths and memories in the earlier stages of their lives to easily predict their next moves. Every living being’s instincts and worldviews are laid bare like they are my own. Even inanimate objects, like grains of sand from billions of worlds, or particles of mana floating through deep space, I can predict what will happen within every instance.

Not only can I comprehend everything, but this system shift has granted me another 5% of energy-borrowing control over every living being connected to the system.

That raises my total control to 100%.

The countless invisible soul ties are just brushing the surface of the connections. Within every being, there is a complex gate connecting their consciousness to the system, and only I hold the ultimate key within the laws truly floating beneath it all.

With a simple thought, I can siphon all of the energy from this system into myself, leaving the entire origin plane filled with powerless mortals unable to cast a single skill.

This is what it feels like to become an Immortal Emperor.

There are two more interesting updates within this milestone other than the complete control over stat borrowing.

The first is the ability to bend and shift the very laws of the Origin Plane.

I can feel all of the bottlenecks present in the eyes of the living I peer through, such as the first step into mana control around level 300, and the ability to begin utilizing divine threads properly around level 700.

There are more rigid bottlenecks that appear within the inner system formations, classified as Rank-ups, at level 500, 1,000, 10,000, 100,000, and 1,000,000.

They are all heavily detailed and correspond with the availability of resources within current eras and even the Class rank of worlds.

There are minor but clear differences in bottleneck difficulties on 5th Class worlds versus 1st or Noble Grade worlds. They are not set in stone either; depending on the system user’s life experiences and interaction with other system users, the quality of rewards of every rank change.

I always believed this was the case, but I’m finally seeing the truth before my eyes.

Just as easily as I could drain the system of its power, I can also change these rules. Manipulating the level at which system users rank up is possible, and even granting skills or raw stats instead of buffs is an option.

The more I explore these commands, the more I realize I can change it in far more ways than just these simple shifts.

I turn my attention away from the intricate details of the system and toward the larger broad functions, like the update to the worldwide connectivity system.

Quickly, all of the Admins, Knights, Commanders, and Generals appear in my mind.

At the rate I process everything, the only one that notices my mental presence is Maria beside me in the void.

The sensation of my consciousness stepping back from the infinite sea of laws washes through me, and her presence enters the system.

I’m witnessing the transfer of power, as I mentally probe and grant access to her allotted 25% availability of stats.

The other high-ranking members of the system appear dormant because their minds haven’t caught up to my probing yet, but I can feel their mental claims on smaller percents of the system as long as I continue granting them access.

This is the greatest moment of mental clarity I’ve ever experienced, and reality around me is only becoming more and more clear.

Less than a millionth of a second has passed, as before me the golden glyphs in Ember’s eyes continue to turn and shake me out of my mundane existence.

The next wave of laws floating upward and triggering in the depths of my mind are an extremely large packet of memories that have been sealed away inside me by golden threads in the past.
