Chapter 241: Undress
Hailee’s POV

After Nathan ended the call, I sat there for a while, staring at the silent phone in my hand. My heart was still racing, partly from annoyance, partly from something else I didn’t want to name.

A few moments later, I sighed and picked up my new cell phone from the table. I’d only gotten it a few hours ago. Peter insisted I needed to “keep up with the times.” For once, I was glad he did.

I scrolled through my contacts until I found Nathan’s name, then smiled faintly.

“I have a phone now,” I texted quickly. “Let’s make this easier.”

Almost instantly, a reply came back.

“Video or voice?”

I hesitated for a second, then typed:

“Video.”

His response came with a single word.

“Brace yourself.”

Before I could even roll my eyes, the call came through. I took a deep breath and accepted it.

The screen lit up, and there he was.

Nathan stood in what looked like a large open yard, sunlight spilling across his bare shoulders. His dark hair was slightly messy, his skin glistening faintly with sweat. Behind him, I could see the stretch of green fields—the private training grounds of the pack house.

He smiled when he saw me. “Well, look who finally joined the modern world.”

I tried to keep my voice steady. “Don’t start.”

He chuckled, the sound warm and rich. “You look good,” he said easily. “Different.”

I tilted my head, trying to hide my blush. “Is this supposed to impress me? Because you’re not even trying.”

His grin deepened. “Hailee, you’re impressive whether I try or not.”

That caught me off guard, and for a moment, I forgot how to respond. The way he said it—calm, certain, without a hint of teasing—made my stomach twist in the worst way.

I cleared my throat, pretending not to notice. “So what are you doing outside?”

“About to train,” he said, adjusting the camera so I could see more of the open yard behind him. “My wolf’s been restless lately. Thought I’d let him out for a bit.”

That made my breath catch slightly. I hadn’t seen his wolf form in years—not since we were teenagers. Even then, he’d been enormous—a jet-black wolf with eyes like molten silver. The memory alone was enough to make my pulse quicken.

“Do you…” he began, his voice lower now, “want to see him?”

I hesitated, but my curiosity won. “Yes,” I said softly.

He nodded once, a faint smile curving his lips. “Alright, but don’t scream this time.”

I scoffed, pretending to glare. “I was fourteen, Nathan.”

“And you fainted.”

“I tripped,” I corrected quickly.

He chuckled, that deep sound rumbling through the speaker, making my chest tighten.

Then he stepped back, placing the phone down on a nearby bench so I could see him clearly. The sunlight hit him perfectly, outlining every strong line of his body—the curve of his shoulders, the way his muscles flexed when he moved.

He reached up, pulling his shirt over his head in one smooth motion.

I froze.

The camera caught everything—the lean, hard lines of his chest, the way his skin glowed bronze in the morning light, the faint scars trailing along his ribs. He looked… older, stronger. Dangerous in the most beautiful way.

“Still watching?” he asked without looking at me, his tone low and teasing.

I swallowed. “You’re enjoying this, aren’t you?”

He smirked faintly. “Maybe.”

Then his fingers moved to his belt.

My breath hitched.

“W–Wait, what are you doing?” I stammered.

“Relax,” he said, glancing up at the screen. “You can’t expect me to shift in clothes, can you?”

My throat went dry. He was right—wolves couldn’t shift with clothes on, or they’d tear them apart. Still, knowing that didn’t make this any easier.

He unbuckled the belt, the faint metallic sound echoing faintly through the call. His hands were steady, his movements slow, deliberate.

I could feel my pulse racing as he slid the belt free and started to unbutton his pants. I pressed my knees together without meaning to, my eyes fixed on the screen even when I knew I shouldn’t be looking.

“Nathan…” I said softly.

He glanced at the camera again, his eyes locking on mine—calm, composed, but edged with something darker. “Don’t look away.”

My breath caught.

He smiled faintly, the kind of smile that both dared and comforted me at once.

“Remember,” he said quietly, “you asked to see.”

And then his hands went to the waistband of his pants.

I swallowed hard and kept my knees pressed tightly together. The silence on the line was thick, punctuated only by the faint sounds of the open yard behind him.

He didn’t hesitate. His fingers went to the waistband of his pants, and in one fluid, unhurried motion, he slid them and his boxer shorts down.

My entire body went rigid.

His eyes never left the camera—they were locked on mine, deep and challenging. His gaze held a calm, ancient knowing, yet it was edged with a darker, intense awareness that was purely for my benefit.

Nathan stood completely naked, his body a magnificent sculpture of lean muscle and bronze skin in the sunlight. His manhood was huge, already semi-hard and heavy, resting against his inner thigh. It was a stunning, powerful sight that arrested every thought in my mind.

A gasp escaped me, a tiny, involuntary sound. I couldn’t tear my eyes away. I was mesmerized by the sheer, raw beauty of him—the lines, the power, the undeniable maleness of the whole picture. An intense wave of heat rushed over me, and I felt my nipples hardening instantly beneath my dress.

He watched my reaction, his lips curving into a slow, satisfied smirk.

“Do you like what you see, Hailee?” he asked, his voice a low, rough rumble.

The question shattered the moment, yet intensified it. I couldn’t respond. My throat was utterly dry, and the only sound I could manage was a ragged, shaky breath.
