Chapter 200: His Touch
Hailee’s POV
“I shouldn’t have done that,” he whispered again, like saying it twice would make it true.
“I shouldn’t have let you,” I whispered back. But even as I said it, I held onto his shirt tighter. I couldn’t let go. He felt like the only safe thing in a world that wanted to break me.
The fire popped and cracked. Shadows danced across his face. His eyes were stormy, filled with a hunger that scared me and thrilled me at the same time.
Before I could think, he kissed me again. Harder this time, deeper, like he had been waiting forever to do it.
I gasped into his mouth, but he swallowed the sound. His hands held my face, tilting me so he could take more. My body pressed close to him, aching. His tongue touched mine, first slow and then demanding, and I melted in his arms.
Heat built in my belly. My hands roamed his chest, grabbing his shoulders to pull him closer, though he was already against me. The kiss grew messy, full of everything we had never said.
He groaned in my mouth, the sound making my knees weak. His hands slid down my sides, pulling me onto his lap. My dress rode up, and his palms gripped my thighs.
“Hailee…” he moaned against my lips.
I didn’t answer. I kissed him again, hungry and desperate. His tongue slid against mine, teasing, tasting, claiming me. Pleasure shook through me.
He kissed my jaw, then my neck. My head fell back, a soft sound leaving me as his tongue burned a path down my skin. My fingers curled in his hair, begging him not to stop.
His teeth grazed me, then his tongue soothed, making me gasp.
“Tell me to stop,” he murmured against my throat, even though his hands slid under my dress, stroking my bare thighs.
I couldn’t. I didn’t want to. My body pressed into him, giving my answer.
Instead, I whispered his name. “Callum.”
He growled low, and his mouth crushed mine again, fierce and consuming. His tongue tangled with mine, drowning me in heat.
Then he pulled back just an inch, eyes burning into mine, asking without words. I answered by kissing him hard, desperate.
His hands gripped my dress and yanked it up. In one move, it was over my head, tossed aside. Cool air brushed my skin, but his eyes and touch kept me warm.
I wore only lace and silk now. His control snapped.
“God, Hailee,” he rasped, his eyes dark with need.
I fumbled at his shirt buttons, too shaky with urgency. He growled, ripped it open, and threw it off. I pressed my hands to his chest, feeling the hard muscles and his heart racing under my palms.
“I missed this,” I whispered. “I missed you.”
His answer was to kiss my neck, right on my pulse. He lifted me higher, my thighs locked around his waist. His hard length pressed against my thin silk panties.
He carried me across the room, my thighs locked around his waist. In three steps, he dropped to the rug before the fire, lowering me onto the soft heat of it, kneeling over me.
Before I could blink, his hands were sliding down, finding the silk between my legs. With a groan that was both relief and hunger, he hooked his thumbs under the waistband of my panties. He tugged them down, over my knees, past my ankles, until I was bare, open, and exposed in the glow of the fire.
The flames flickered, painting my skin in gold and shadow, making me feel both vulnerable and wanted.
His hands spread my legs gently, firmly. His eyes never left mine, searching, asking again, making sure. But all he saw was the need in me, the way my eyes begged without shame.
“I’ve dreamt of this,” he murmured, his voice a rumble that sent chills racing over my skin.
Then he lowered his head.
The shock of heat made me cry out. His lips and tongue touched me, soft and wet, and the world spun. I gasped, arching off the rug, fingers clawing at the thick threads beneath me.
He licked me slowly, tasting every part, savoring. Each movement of his tongue dragged a broken sound from my throat. My body shook, my hips shifting, needing more.
He pulled back only enough to breathe against me, his voice low and rough. “Still taste the same.” A faint smile touched his lips before he kissed me again, deeper, slower, making me buck against his face.
Then his eyes lifted, dark and glowing. “No. That’s a lie,” he said. “Even better now.”
His hand slid under me, lifting my hips so he could reach deeper. His tongue flicked and circled, teasing my center, pushing me higher. I gasped, whimpered, my words breaking apart. My body couldn’t think, only feel.
“Callum, please,” I begged, my voice torn, trembling. I didn’t even know what I was begging for.
“Not yet,” he growled thickly, then devoured me again.
I was falling apart under him, my whole body shaking like a leaf in the wind. My thoughts were a storm, loud and messy, but my heart beat even louder. His mouth and tongue made me gasp again and again, pulling me higher until I thought I could not take more. And just when I was about to break, he stopped and lifted his head.
His face was red, his lips wet, his eyes wild and dark when they met mine. “Hailee,” he whispered, his voice rough like it hurt to speak. “I’m losing control.”
My chest rose and fell fast. My skin burned hot. My mind was blank, but my heart knew one thing—this was silly, but God, I craved this. I craved him inside me.
“Don’t stop,” I begged, my voice shaking. “Please… I want this.”
Something inside him broke. He came over me like a wave, kissing me hard, strong, desperate, like he had been hungry for me forever. His hands held my face, then moved down, trembling as they touched my skin. I moaned into his kiss, my body arching up to him, asking for more, needing everything.
I felt his cock press against me—hot, hard, and real, only his pants between us. My body froze for a breath, fear and memory flashing through me. It had been so long. Ten years since I had let anyone touch me. Ten years of emptiness. Ten years of pretending I did not want or need.
He felt it. His kiss slowed, gentle now. His forehead pressed to mine, his breath heavy. “Say no, Hailee, and I will stop. I swear it.”
But I could not. I would not. My hands went to his waist, pulling at the last cloth that kept us apart. “I want you, Callum. I have wanted you all this time.”
A broken sound tore from his throat as he pushed his pants away. For the first time in years, I felt him against me, hot and alive. My whole body shivered, my legs wrapping tight around his hips.
He kissed me again, softer now, like he was afraid, his lips shaking as much as mine. “It’s been so long,” he whispered.
“Ten years,” I breathed, my voice raw. “Since you.”
His eyes filled with pain and love. “God, Hailee.” His hands trembled as they moved down my sides. “I’ll be gentle.”
I nodded, but inside me a voice cried out—I did not want gentle. I wanted him. I wanted the man I had lost. I wanted to feel whole again.
He held himself at my entrance, sliding slowly and carefully. I gasped at the first touch, my body tensing and then opening, my chest rising as my breath caught.
“Breathe,” he whispered, kissing my jaw, my neck, his thumb stroking my cheek. “Trust me.”
And then, slowly, he pushed forward.
I cried out, clutching his shoulders, digging my nails into his skin as my body stretched around him. The burn was sharp, but behind it was fire, relief, a wave of wild pleasure that shook me to the core.
He groaned against my throat, his body stiff, holding still. “So tight… so perfect.”
I panted hard, trying to breathe. “Move,” I whispered. “Please, Callum.”
He did, rocking into me slowly and steadily, filling me deeper each time. The ache melted away, replaced with heat so sharp I moaned his name again and again. His pace grew faster, his hips stronger, and the fire beside us blazed like it burned for us alone.
My arms clung to him, pulling him close, needing him nearer, deeper. He moved inside me slowly, his body heavy and warm above mine. But then he stopped, breathing hard, his eyes locked on mine. With care, he shifted, rolling to the side and pulling me with him. Soon we were lying together on the rug, chest to chest, faces so close our breaths mixed.
His arm slid under me, holding me close, and with the other he guided my leg over his hip. The new angle made me gasp, my body opening to him in a way that felt deeper, closer.
“Better,” he whispered, kissing the corner of my mouth, then my cheek, then my temple. His voice was soft but rough with need. “I want to feel all of you.”
I clung to him, burying my face in his neck. Every slow push made my heart race faster. Every pull back left me aching for more. The world outside faded—there was only the fire, his touch, his voice, and the way our bodies fit together after so long apart.
“Callum,” I whispered, my voice shaking with both fear and desire.
“Yes, love,” he answered, his lips brushing my hair. His pace stayed steady, gentle but breathtaking, each movement carrying both hunger and care. I felt him everywhere—his heartbeat against my chest, his breath warm on my skin, his hands tracing my back like he was memorizing me.
