696: Annoying Flies Spoil the night!

Asmodeus watched the auction continue with a pleasant smirk on his lips, the bids growing in slow and uncertain amounts.

Because the empire’s history wrote the Sirens as disgusting monsters, most of the nobles avoided their goods.  ‘Only the foolish and greedy are still bidding huh?’  A smirk grew on his moist, twisted lips.  “550,000!” “560,000!” “Come on’ boys!

This beautiful treasure could be yours for less than a million marks!” The seductive woman’s voice entrapped the males in lust, desire and focus.

Miriam Vay’s atmosphere was anything but normal.

Yet, despite carrying a beauty close to his wives.

Asmodeus felt nothing but danger.

‘I should take a better look.’ With his eyes closed, Asmodeus focused on the auction house, each person’s aura, their magic and reactions to what happened during the auction.

He gathered the divine aura deep inside his heart to avoid it spreading.

‘If someone detects me, it’ll be annoying.’ Thin golden threads extended from his fingertips and trailed along the walls and through the doorway and glass viewpoint.

“Hm?” He opened his eyes, slowly adjusting to the light and glanced to the right, only to notice Mei and Fei Ling both stopped moving.

Their eyes fixed on him, with a strange, eerie silence that brought nothing but confusion.  ‘What’s this?’ When he closed his eyes, Asmodeus noticed that a golden sphere of light enveloped his entire room.

The most surprising thing was that when he peeked through the twinkling curtain of gold, the world continued to move…

but it was extremely slow.

Like a snail’s pace.

Miriam Vay’s voice slowly counted the numbers, at least five times slower than normal speed, and yet…

inside the sphere, he moved at normal speed.

‘What the hell is this…

is it my power?’ “Uck…!?”  Suddenly, something painful yanked inside him, like a demon’s claw grabbing his heart, forcing Asmodeus to clutch his chest.

“What the hell is this…” The more painful it became, the flicker of golden light increased, and the speed at which Miriam spoke increased.

Five times.

Four times.

Two times.

Finally, the golden light shattered, and the painful tension that had drowned him in pressure also vanished.

“Haa…

Haa…

damn it….!” “My Oh My~ We’ve got ourselves a winner, ladies and gentlemen!!!” Miriam’s voice echoed inside his mind like glass smashing.

The sound doubling up only intensified his headache.

“The winner is our lucky and handsome VIP!

for 980,000 Marks!”  Asmodeus glanced up at the stage.

Coincidentally, his eyes met those of Miriam’s, which flickered with a pink light for a few moments, before she twirled around and blew a kiss; somehow, his back felt cold.  ‘Did she see me…?’ “That would be annoying.” He mumbled, standing from the sofa and glancing at the two innocent women who slept quietly.

Would these girls suffer if he left now, with both items instantly transferred into his special VIP card…

Somehow, he couldn’t help but sigh, grabbing both women before gathering his mana.

‘I’ll send them to Serena….’ With a few flicks, he smeared ink on his fingertip, then wrote instructions and what happened on the abdomens of both girls.  “Don’t be angry with me, you shouldn’t have been so tempting.” Although they wouldn’t become his wives, Gretel spoke about needing support with all the new children.

He closed his eyes with a smile while gathering a circle of mana around the bed.  Vrrrrrt, crackle!

Maybe because of the intense barrier, he couldn’t connect to the demon empire using telepathy, so he needed to use teleportation.

Luckily, this spell didn’t feel hazy when he tried to cast it.

Upon completion of the spell, the purple light leaking from the beautiful magic circle flashed around the two women.

The next moment, their bodies sank into the bed and vanished from sight, leaving just Asmodeus in the room alone.

“Phew…

now then.”  He glanced back at the door and twisted his lips in a smirk.  ‘These fuckers never planned to let anyone get away with the Siren or Chimaera heart!’ Countless reasons and explanations ran through Asmodeus’s mind.

He wondered at first why they even teleported the items onto his VIP card when they planned to take the items back.

‘No…’ He clapped his hands with a low chuckle.

The auction house did it this way to avoid accepting any blame or judgment.

It removed their traces from the event!  “No wonder, they’re more demonic than I am.” Asmodeus focused his aura and senses on the doorway, still remembering the feeling when his golden threads suddenly gathered into one and formed the strange time domain.

It was close to when he entered his Demon Sovereign form, and yet, it lacked the same usage.

This method only allowed him to slow those outside of his barrier for a short time…

‘The other sped me up and slowed them.’ Blood oozed from his nose, the pressure upon his body like being crushed under an impossible weight.  He closed his eyes with a deep breath.

‘If I cannot deal with this size, make it smaller.’ Woosh!

The golden light shrank further, diminishing the speed at which he could limit them.

Now it was barely half its normal size and limited their speed by only 0.5 seconds.

But the dome around him barely covered the room and the door.

‘More!’ His veins burned like liquid fire poured through them as he forced the divine, demonic and abyssal aura to mix and surge through his body.

‘Refine it!

How can I move faster, while they remain slowed!?’ “Urgh…!

Damn it!” He gasped.

“He’s in here!

Hurry, open the door!” “Gehehehe!

Foolish human, trying to take our items!” “The Mistress will reward us well.” Asmodeus leaned against the wall, his blood floating around his body like specks of dust dancing in a mighty storm.  Yet he continued gritting his teeth and tightened his abdomen, pumping his heart faster as the three energies completely fused into a hot, searing mess.

‘SMALLER!’ He screamed inside, enduring the pain like someone poked his brain with a cattle prod and searing brand.  “Kuha…” With a cough, a huge chunk of black and purple blood spurt from his mouth.

He glanced at the door with a twisted smirk.

A golden aura flickered from his iris as he touched the small dome around him.

He moved a little faster than normal speed, yet…

when he flicked his fingers outside, the speed was doubled.

“Phew, I did it…”  ‘This isn’t hard, I can probably last…’ He clenched both fists and rolled his head; the tightness and burning sensation in his chest faded.

Then, with a nod, he approached the door with a confident expression.

‘Twenty Minutes.’ Bang!

Asmodeus kicked the doors, shattering the wood and deforming the metal hinges.

The force sent two men flying against the wall, their bodies disintegrating into blood mist from the force of his aura.

“Move.” He didn’t need to hide his power; his face, hair and body were in his demon form.

His long, meticulously groomed black hair shimmered with every step, floating slightly from the aura as his golden eyes snapped to the surviving humans.

He removed his kimono, revealing smooth, creamy white skin with black demonic patches of hide.

No longer inside the dungeon, his Rank Three force decimated the mortals who’d not even reached Rank One.

“This fool killed Mikael!” “D-Damn…

I’m running, this isn’t worth it!” “C-Cowards!” Two to his left, three with one fleeing to the right.  Asmodeus didn’t need to take special actions, thanks to his time domain, something he couldn’t use unless in his Sovereign form previously.

The men’s movements slowed while their voices remained normal.  ‘Strange…

why is that?’ Maybe this was something his brain automatically corrected, but right now, he couldn’t check and instead snapped his fingertip.  Crackle, vwoom!

A black mass of aura crackled, then expanded to form a vibrating sphere of darkness.

“RUN!” “Too late.”  Asmodeus intensified his time aura.

An orc wearing desert wear dashed away, beside the small human thief, who tried to escape first; their bodies moved like frozen ants.  With a simple gesture, he shot the dark sphere to the right.

The magical torrent rushed towards them as the two men desperately tried to escape it like cowards.  Boom!

The dark sphere struck the slowed men before their legs even finished their next step.

Their bodies broke apart on impact, peeling into strips of flesh and dissolving under the crushing force of his aura.

“Kraak!” An orc’s final scream stretched into a warped, sluggish echo before his head burst like rotten fruit.

The human thief fared no better with his limbs torn apart as if pulled by invisible hooks.

The last two tried to raise their weapons, but Asmodeus flicked his wrist.

A wave of black pressure swept forward, splitting them down the centre and throwing their halves against the wall.

‘This is more taxing than I thought.’ He leaned against the wall with his palm, the tightness pulsing within his veins.

He couldn’t keep fighting while testing the time domain and let it unravel.

His muscles relaxed as golden threads spread throughout the VIP floor.

Faint steps shook the ground on both sides, more cannon fodder with a few higher-grade fighters mixed within them.

Asmodeus exhaled once and twisted his lips into a smirk.

“Next.”
