688: Battle Empress Serena 688: Battle Empress Serena Serena stood in the centre of chaos, blood and limbs flying around as Lumina and the Demon Knights slaughtered the guards brought by the mainland’s delegation.

‘Will he get angry?’ She thought back to Asmodeus, who had held her intensely the night before.

The way his muscular arms crushed her back just enough that she felt sublime euphoria.

“This was the correct choice.”  Lumina tapped Serena’s shoulder while wiping the blood from her webbing with a smile.  “Because of this, he’ll have to fight again…”  Serena worried about Asmodeus more than anything else.

He fought and suffered for her, and she couldn’t do anything other than keep him warm at night.

‘No, I cannot be this sentimental.’ Suddenly, her atmosphere changed as she turned to Leviathan and snapped her fingers.

“Levia, take the demon knights and kill anyone who is from the mainland’s delegation.”  “Hah!” Serena took a breath, then continued.

“Right now, our children are the most important, Levia.

Inform Velvet, Vinea and Alice to prepare for war, and have the strongest knights protect the little ones.

Move them all to the hidden palace.” She shook her head, watching Levia leave with a bright expression.

“Lumina!”  “What’s wrong, Sister?” Lumina forgot to speak informally, yet Serena just shook her head and placed both hands on her shoulders.

“Please, use your powers and barrier to keep them safe.

With your Domain, we can keep the children hidden for at least six months.

We don’t know how long Darling will be in the Mainland, but we have to hold one without him.” The preparations in her mind didn’t amount to just the humans of the mainland.

*** Meanwhile, in the hidden palace, the children were gathered together, most of them quiet, but a little restless; Nyx and Seris were quite aggressive.

The pair held wooden weapons and continued to clash with each other.  Seris darted forward with a rapier, her red hair fluttering like roses as she thrust towards Nyxielle’s chest.

“Stop being dramatic, Nyx!” Nyxielle’s dark curls bounced as she slammed away the rapier using her sword, and immediately stepped into Seris’s range and slapped her cheek.

With a sudden sweep, her rapier slashed at Nyx’s thigh, causing her to jump back.  “Children!”  Suddenly, a deep voice bellowed through the halls, causing them to freeze.

Nyxielle looked up at the armoured women, Velvet, Vinea and Asmodea all stood at the entrance, causing both girls to tear up and turn red.  “Mom!” “But Mother!” Velvet’s figure vanished as she quickly scooped up Nyxielle and used her tail to brush the hair of Seris gently.

“Don’t cry, Seri.

I know you were just trying to make Nyx calm down.” “Mother Velvet…”  Asmodea slipped beside her daughter with a gentle smile.

She glanced at the upset Nyxielle and winked.

“You too Nyx.

It’s just that you worried about your mother, right?” “Nn…”  Both girls nodded and dropped their weapons.

The two mothers looked back at each other and smiled, the personalities of their children already developing more than they expected.  Erika’s son Leon, with his ash-blond hair, stood beside a pair of pretty twins.

One with pale blue skin, soft pink hair and a single dark ahoge that flicked back to form a curved heart shape.

And from her hips, a small black tail flicked around with a tiny heart-shaped barb.

“Brother Leon, what if they hurt themselves?” The other, with warm turquoise hair with dark tips, her skin smooth and dark, with tiny curved horns and the same tail as the other.

“Hehe, that big mouth lost~ Brother Ardyn, don’t you think Sister Seris is super cool?!” Ardyn watched quietly.

His red eyes almost seemed to analyse the entire room.

Despite his young age, his mother, Alice, constantly taught him difficult subjects and gave him tomes to read instead of a blade.

“You’re right, Sister Thalys.” Thalys, the daughter of Riel, was bold, playful and enjoyed playing tricks on Lith and Nyxielle.

But her sister Elira, the daughter of Sariel, resembled her aunt more.

A sweet, loving and natural singer who tried to keep the peace.

“Are you alright, little ones?” A soothingly deep voice called out from above, and all the children’s eyes brightened as a beautiful white spider drooped down from the ceiling, countless gold and silver webs filling the ceiling.

“You all look so cute, I just want to eat you all up!” “Mama Lumina!” “Mother Lumi!” The children’s nervous atmosphere shattered as the four daughters of Lumina all hopped off her back and slipped down to the floor.  “Phew!

“Right now your dad is trying to save Uncle Brando.” Lith and the other children all listened while sitting on comfortable chairs.

They adored having so many powerful mothers, but the most important was their dad.
