Chapter 548: Do You Want Me to Fuck You Like you Haven’t Been Fucked in Years?”
I could see it all now. Written in the way she held herself. The desperation beneath the professional composure.

This woman ran multimillion-dollar operations. Made decisions that affected thousands of people. Commanded boardrooms full of men twice her age.

But her husband had left her for a 23-year-old and now she couldn’t remember the last time someone looked at her with desire instead of pity. I could see the courage it took her to Google Meridian. The shame she felt typing those words. The fear that someone would find out.

I could see the nights she spent reading reviews. Trying to convince herself this was okay. That successful women did this. That she wasn’t pathetic for needing this.

I could see her asking her best friend—maybe over wine, maybe crying—if this made her desperate. And her friend saying no, saying she deserved to feel wanted, saying Meridian was discreet and safe and maybe this would help.

I could see her sitting in her car outside Meridian for thirty minutes before walking in. Hands shaking. Nearly turning around a dozen times. I could see her meeting with Catherine. Trying to explain without breaking down. Admitting she just wanted someone to look at her like she was beautiful. Like she mattered.

I could see her paying—not with her personal account, setting up something separate so her ex wouldn’t see it in divorce proceedings—and feeling ashamed even as she did it.

I could see her tonight. Getting ready. Changing outfits three times. Too sexy felt desperate. Too casual felt like she didn’t care. Settled on professional because it was safe.

I could see her arriving early. Forty minutes early. Sitting in this room. Drinking wine she didn’t taste. Pacing. Checking her phone. Nearly calling Catherine to cancel.

I could see every ounce of courage it took to open that door when I knocked.

And I could see—right now, looking at me—the terrified hope that maybe this would work. Maybe I could make her feel something other than broken.

“Rebecca,” I said quietly.

She looked at me. Those blue-gray eyes swimming with tears she was fighting.

“I’m going to take care of you tonight. I’m going to make you feel exactly what you came here for.”

“You don’t know what I came here for.” Her voice was small.

“Yes, I do.” I took a step toward her. Slow. “You came here to remember you’re desirable. To feel wanted. To have someone look at you the way your ex-husband should have been looking at you every single day.” But she wanted more than that but let’s not play smart ass, shall we?

Her face crumpled. Tears spilled over.

“How did you—”

“Because I can see you.” I took another step. “Not the VP. Not the professional. You. The woman who’s been carrying this weight alone. Who thinks she’s not enough. Who paid a stranger to prove she’s worth wanting because no one else has made her feel that way in too long.”

“I’m pathetic,” she whispered.

“You’re brave.”

“I’m paying you to fuck me.”

“You’re paying me to remind you of something you forgot.” I closed the distance. Stood in front of her. “That you’re beautiful. That you’re desirable. That any man who chose someone else over you is a fucking idiot who doesn’t deserve to breathe your air.”

She sobbed. Full-body. Shoulders shaking.

I pulled her against my chest. Let her cry. Let her break.

Her hands fisted in my shirt. She cried like she’d been holding it in for months. Maybe years.

I just held her. One hand stroking her hair. The other on her back. Steady. Solid. Safe.

“I’m sorry,” she gasped between sobs. “I’m sorry—this isn’t sexy—you’re not here for this—”

“I’m here for exactly this.” I pulled back enough to look at her. “Rebecca. Look at me.”

She did. Mascara running. Face blotchy. Nose red.

Still Beautiful.

“You are not broken,” I said. “You are not pathetic. You are not too old or not enough or any other lie he told you.”

“Then why did he leave?” Her voice cracked. “Why did he choose her?”

“Because he’s a coward who couldn’t handle being with a woman who was stronger than him.” I wiped her tears with my thumbs. “Because he’s weak. Because he’s an idiot. Pick whichever reason makes you feel better. They’re all true.”

She laughed. Watery. “You don’t even know him.”

“I know he had you and he let you go. That’s all I need to know.”

Fresh tears. But different this time. Not just pain. Something else.

Relief maybe. That someone saw her. Really saw her.

“I don’t know if I can do this,” she whispered. “I haven’t—it’s been so long—what if I can’t—”

“Then we don’t.” Simple. “We can sit here and talk. Order food. You can tell me about running aerospace operations. I’ll tell you about—” I smiled. “Whatever you want to know. And when our time is up, you go home. No pressure.”

“I paid for—”

“I don’t care what you paid for.” I cupped her face. “I care what you need.”

She stared at me. Processing. Those blue-gray eyes searching mine for the lie.

She wouldn’t find one.

“What do you need, Rebecca?”

Long silence.

Then—quiet, almost inaudible—”I need to feel wanted.”

“You are wanted.”

“You’re paid to say that.”

“I’m paid to be here. I’m not paid to lie.” I leaned closer. Close enough she could feel my breath. “You are wanted, Rebecca. Right now. By me. Not because of money. Because you’re beautiful and brave and you walked through that door despite being terrified.”

“I don’t feel beautiful.”

“Then let me show you.”

“How?”

I smiled. “By making you feel like a woman you’re and forget every lie he ever told you about your body.”

She shivered. Full-body. Her hands tightened on my shirt.

“I don’t think I can. I haven’t been able to even come—in years—”

“You will come tonight.”

“You can’t promise that.”

“Watch me.”

She looked at me. Really looked. Seeing past the supernatural attractiveness to whatever the fuck I was underneath.

Then she kissed me.

Desperate. Clumsy. Like someone who’d forgotten how.

I let her lead for a moment. Let her take what she needed.

Then I took control.

Kissed her the way she deserved to be kissed. The way that said she mattered. That she was worth this. That her ex-husband was a fucking moron.

When I pulled back, she was breathing hard.

“Oh my god.”

“That’s just the beginning.”

“I’m going to cry again.”

“That’s okay too.”

She laughed. Actual laughter. “You’re very good at this.”

“I know.”

“Confident.”

“When I need to be.” I traced her jaw. Watched her shiver. “Now tell me something, Rebecca.”

“What?”

“Do you want me to be gentle? Or do you want me to fuck you like you haven’t been fucked in years?”

Her breath stopped. Eyes went wide. Cheeks flushed deeper.

“I—I don’t—”

“Honest answer.”

Long pause.

Then—quiet but certain—”The second one.”

I smiled. “Good answer.”

I kissed her again. Deeper. Let my hands slide down her body. Felt her respond.

Rebecca Hartwell had no idea what was coming.

But she was about to remember exactly what she’d been missing.

And I was going to make goddamn sure she never forgot it.
