Chapter 269: Chapter 269: Hu Yan is using First husband Authority!
“Come on, all of you, get in!” Su Qinglan urged, ushering Hu Yan, Han Jue, and Rong Ye toward the warm water.

The three beastmen didn’t hesitate. They shed their soaked beast hides in a heartbeat, their powerful, muscular bodies glistening with rainwater and steam.

In reality, their high-level constitutions meant they weren’t even shivering, but seeing Su Qinglan so worried made them act even more fragile. They wanted to be pampered, and they wanted every bit of her attention.

Rong Ye, being the quickest and most shameless of the bunch, was the first to leap into the tub. He let out a long, dramatic sigh as the warm water hit his skin. “Ah, Lan Lan… I thought my heart would freeze out there.”

Before Su Qinglan could even respond, the fox reached out and gently pulled her toward the edge of the tub. Since she was already soaked through her thin inner robe, she didn’t resist when he tugged her in to sit on his lap.

“Lan Lan, my head is so muddy… could you help me wash it?” Rong Ye asked with a pitiful pout, leaning his head against her chest.

Su Qinglan, still filled with guilt, immediately reached for the soap berry. She began to gently rub his scalp; her fingers massaged his ears and hair with a tenderness that made the other three men’s eyes turn green with envy.

“Is this okay, Rong Ye? Does it feel better?” She asked softly as her hands moving down to wipe the mud from his handsome face.

“So much better,” Rong Ye purred. His hands, however, were getting naughtier by the second.

Under the cover of the warm water, his palms slid over her waist and rested firmly on her thighs as she sat on his legs. He gave the others a triumphant look over his shoulder.

Rong Ye’s hands, which had been resting on her waist, began to move. His fingers were long and agile, tracing the line of her ribs through the wet fabric. He leaned his head against her chest, closing his eyes as if he were simply enjoying the massage.

“Lan Lan,” he whispered, his voice vibrating against her skin. “Do you know how cold I was? My tail was frozen stiff. I thought I would never feel warmth again.”

As he spoke, one of his hands slid downward, his palm gliding over the curve of her hip beneath the water. Su Qinglan’s breath hitched. “Rong Ye, I’m washing your hair; stay still…”

“I can’t stay still,” he murmured, his thumb hooking into the hem of her clothes. “My heart is beating so fast because you’re finally holding me. Are you still angry? Or can I hope for a reward for being such a patient fox?”

His hand moved deeper under the water, his fingers grazing her inner thigh with a light, teasing touch.

Su Qinglan felt a jolt of electricity run through her. She tried to pull away, but the tub was cramped, and the other three men were watching like hawks. The pressure of their gazes made her heart race even more.

“Rong Ye… the others are right there,” she hissed in a low voice, her face turning a deep shade of scarlet.

“Let them watch,” Rong Ye challenged playfully. He leaned forward, his nose brushing against her neck, smelling the sweet scent of her skin.

His fingers became even bolder, moving with a rhythmic, fluttering touch that made Su Qinglan’s knees go weak.

“They’ve already had their turns. It’s been so long for me, Lan Lan. Don’t you think I’ve waited long enough?”

Suddenly, a soft, involuntary moan escaped her lips as his fingers grazed slightly there. She instinctively clenched her legs, trapping his hand against her. “Rong Ye… stop… ah…”

Rong Ye didn’t stop. He nipped playfully at her earlobe, his breath hot against her skin. “I’ll stop if you tell me you don’t want me. Look me in the eye and say you don’t love your fox.”

Su Qinglan looked down at him, her eyes misty and wide. She couldn’t say it. Her heart was full of guilt and a growing, fiery affection for this silver-tongued beastman. Sensing her surrender, Rong Ye gave her a victorious, dazzling smile.

He stood up suddenly, lifting her out of the water in one smooth motion. The water splashed over the sides of the tub as he grabbed a large, soft towel and wrapped it around her, swaddling her like a precious treasure.

“Lan Lan… don’t you love me?” He asked again, his voice dropping to a husky, serious tone that sent shivers down her spine.

“No… how could I not…” she whispered, her voice failing her.

Rong Ye didn’t give her a chance to finish. He leaned down and sealed her lips with a deep, hungry kiss.

He broke the kiss only to look back at the three silent men. His gaze was no longer pitiful; it was the gaze of a predator who had successfully claimed his prize.

Without a single word of apology to the others, he carried her to the second floor, his footsteps heavy and purposeful on the wood.

The expressions on Hu Yan, Han Jue, and Xuan Long’s faces were complicated. They were frustrated, but they didn’t move to stop him.

They all knew the truth: they had all successfully mated with Su Qinglan, but Rong Ye was the only one who had not yet completed the bond.

As her husbands, they knew it would be shameless to interfere with his turn, especially after he had spent the night in the rain.

Xuan Long, however, was still fuming. His pride made him want to follow them and drag that fox out by his tail. But as he took a step toward the stairs, he was stopped by a deathly glare from Hu Yan.

“As the first beast husband,” Hu Yan said, his voice low and authoritative, “I am telling you: stay here. If you go up there and ruin this, I will make sure you don’t sleep near Lan Lan for a whole week.”

Xuan Long’s expression turned solemn. He looked at the upstairs, then at Hu Yan, and let out a loud, frustrated huff. He turned around and stormed out of the house, slamming the door so hard the fence shook.

Only Hu Yan and Han Jue were left in the quiet room. They looked at each other and shared a small smile.

“Confronting that snake is getting harder every day,” Han Jue sighed, sitting back in the warm water. “If not for the mate marks binding us as a family, I don’t think I could stand that brooding lizard.”

Hu Yan nodded. “Don’t take it to heart. Snakes are naturally territorial. We can tolerate him because he is genuinely good to our Lan Lan.”

He stood up and started to dry himself. “Let’s go deal with the prey we brought back. We need to deal with them and prepare food for when they come down.”

As they stepped out onto the porch to skin the deer and boar, Hu Yan looked up at the grey sky, silently praying. I hope that silly fox doesn’t do anything too clumsy and successfully mates with her, he thought.

He truly wished for harmony in their family. He knew it was hard for Su Qinglan to deal with so many dominating beastmen who were always fighting for her attention.

She was the one who had to balance them all, and there was always a risk that someone would feel neglected.

As the first husband, Hu Yan felt it was his sacred duty to maintain the peace. Su Qinglan had chosen him first, and he would make sure their home stayed a place of love, not just a battlefield for their egos.
