Chapter 255: Chapter 255: Xuan Long is awake
Su Qinglan woke up feeling like a completely different person. The exhaustion that had bone-melted her into the bed earlier was gone, replaced by a surge of vibrant energy.

She felt recharged to the maximum. As she lay there for a moment, she realized the red-level crystal core’s energy had finally settled into her veins, making her feel stronger, faster, and more alert than ever before.

She was just about to sit up and examine her “new and improved” body when a strange sensation stopped her. Something warm, wet, and rough was dragging across her cheek.

She opened her eyes and found herself staring directly into a pair of deep, emerald-green eyes.

Xuan Long was hovering over her, his expression filled with a mix of possessive love and raw hunger.

Before she could even say “Good morning,” he dipped his head and licked her cheek again with a raspy sound.

“Lan Lan is awake,” Xuan Long murmured. His voice was deep and gravelly, sounding like someone who hadn’t used his vocal cords in a very long time. “Did I wake you?”

Su Qinglan blinked, still a bit dazed. “You did… You’ve finally woken up! Why were you sleeping for so long? Was it time for your hibernation?”

Xuan Long shook his head slightly, his long hair brushing against her skin. “No, it wasn’t hibernation. Sometimes my kind falls into a deep sleep to stabilize our power. It’s not the first time.”

Before she could ask more, he decided he was done talking. He leaned down, his tongue trailing from her jawline down to her neck.

Su Qinglan giggled as the tickling sensation sent sparks through her body. “Xuan Long! Stop! Are you a dog or a snake? Have you changed species while you were asleep?”

She tried to push his heavy head away, but it was like trying to move a boulder. Xuan Long didn’t stop. He was on a mission. He moved lower, his tongue dragging over her breasts, which were still slightly swollen and sensitive from the previous “activities” with the other two husbands.

When his wet tongue swirled around one of her buds, Su Qinglan’s entire body arched. A deep, involuntary moan escaped her lips.

“Xuan Long… what are you doing? I just woke up! Are you even fully conscious yet?”

She tried to resist, but her body was being very dishonest. Instead of pushing him away, her back arched further, thrusting her chest toward his mouth as if she were inviting him to continue.

The sensation was heavenly…cool yet fiery at the same time. Xuan Long didn’t shy away; he fondled and pleasured her with a focus that made her head spin.

“Lan Lan, just wait for some time,” he whispered.

He moved even lower, his tongue tracing patterns over her stomach before he suddenly lifted her legs. When he started licking her most private parts, Su Qinglan’s face turned a shade of red that could rival a sunset. She was so embarrassed she almost hit the ceiling.

“Stop! What are you doing?!” She cried, finally managing to shove his head away. “You’ve really turned into a dog! Why are you behaving like a hooligan?”

Xuan Long blinked at her, looking remarkably like a cute, stubborn child who didn’t understand why he was being scolded.

“My scent has almost disappeared from you,” he explained seriously. “I have to lick you back. Everyone should know that you are my mate. If you don’t carry my scent, other beastmen might get ideas.”

Su Qinglan was speechless. What kind of logic is this? she thought. He’s marking his territory like a golden retriever!

And Xuan Long was also doing it because he realized she was covered in the scents of the “furry” beastmen…Hu Yan and Han Jue. He had to make sure his scent was the dominant one.

So the other beastmen would think twice before approaching her.

So Xuan Long wasn’t done. Seeing that she wasn’t truly angry, he parted her legs again. Before she could protest, his tongue was back, even more intense than before.

“Lan Lan, are you awake?” Hu Yan asked cheerfully. He stopped in his tracks when he saw the scene: a bewildered Xuan Long, whose lips were still glistening with moisture, and a blushing, disheveled Su Qinglan.

Xuan Long didn’t look guilty. Instead, he slowly licked his lips and gave Hu Yan a smug, triumphant smile.

Su Qinglan wanted to smack him. Great. Now he’s starting trouble just like Rong Ye does, she grumbled to herself.

She decided to ignore both of them before things got even more “heated.” She stood up, wrapping the fur tightly around herself. “I am going to take a bath. Both of you go out! Now!”

She felt if she gave them even a sweet smile, she would be pinned again on the bed. She needed a relaxing soak to soothe her sore muscles. These beastmen are all hooligans, she thought. They don’t even let me wake up in peace.

Hu Yan, playing the “innocent” one, stepped forward with a smile. “Let me fill the tub for you, Lan Lan.”

Xuan Long rolled his eyes at Hu Yan’s helpful act. “I’ll do it.” With a flick of his finger and a shimmer of green energy, the large wood tub in the corner was instantly filled with perfectly warmed water that seemed to sparkle.

Su Qinglan didn’t wait for them to start another competition. She literally kicked both of them out of the room and covered the entrance with hide.

Finally alone, she dropped the fur hide and stepped into the warm water. She rubbed herself with the soap that was almost used up even though she was using it very slowly.

When will she get the new bathing kit? She really wants it. All the shampoo has been used, and even this soap is also used.
