Chapter 250: Chapter 250: Rong Ye met Tu Yelang
Su Qinglan collapsed against Han Jue’s shoulder, her body feeling less like a human and more like a puddle of jelly. She was pretty sure her bones had actually melted somewhere between the fifth and sixth rounds.
She lay there, heaving with labored breaths, while Hu Yan’s large hand slowly and rhythmically stroked her spine to calm her down.
I am a noodle, she thought, her brain barely functioning. A very tired, very satisfied, very overwhelmed noodle. If a predator came in right now, I’d just have to accept my fate. I can’t even lift a finger.
The room was filled with the heavy scent of hormones and the lingering heat of the “energy transfer.” Han Jue was still holding her tight, his own breath ragged as he reached his final climax alongside her.
As the heat exploded inside her one last time, Su Qinglan felt her vision blur. She opened her mouth to scream Han Jue’s name, ready to finally drift off into a much-needed coma.
But then, her eyes caught something.
In the corner of the room, two large, dark emerald eyes were glowing in the shadows.
Su Qinglan’s heart, which had just started to slow down, suddenly did a backflip.
She squinted through her tears and sweat, and her eyes widened in pure, unadulterated disbelief.
“Xuan Long?!” she screamed, her voice filled with shock.
Sitting right there, watching the entire “family bonding session” with terrifyingly calm interest, was a massive snake head.
The snake didn’t look embarrassed. It didn’t look like it had accidentally walked into the wrong room. It simply flicked its tongue and hissed in a low, vibrating tone at her scream. Like he was acknowledging her.
Su Qinglan stared at the emerald eyes, then at Han Jue, then back at the snake.
Are you kidding me? she thought hysterically. Why does no one tell her that Xuan Long was awake and for how long he was here? She absolutely refused to believe that these two have no idea.
The combination of the physical exhaustion, the intense energy from the crystal core, and the sudden appearance of her other husband was simply too much for her nervous system to handle.
“I’m done,” she whispered to nobody in particular.
Before anyone could explain why the snake was there or how long it had been watching, Su Qinglan’s eyes rolled back in her head. Her body went completely limp in Han Jue’s arms as she officially passed out from a total system overload.
She didn’t hear the chuckles of the men or the sliding sound of scales on the floor. She was out.
While Su Qinglan was passing out from a husband overload back at the house, Rong Ye was having a much rougher time.
The fox beastman was trailing down the mountain in the pouring rain. His beautiful, soft fur was completely soaked, making him look more like a drowned rat than a majestic fox. He had been out hunting all day, determined to find delicious prey for his Lan Lan.
Once I bring her the best meat, I’ll win her heart completely, he thought, his tail twitching in the mud. Then we can finally do some ‘sweet things,’ and I’ll show her who the best husband really is.
He had no idea that back home, his rivals were already finishing multiple rounds of “hanky-spanky” without him. With his notoriously bad luck, he was literally the last to know the party had started.
Suddenly, Rong Ye skidded to a halt. Because standing right in front of him was a rabbit. But not just any rabbit…it was Tu Yelang, the leader of the new tribe.
The two of them stood in a deadlock, neither moving an inch. It was a classic standoff: whoever blinked first was the loser.
Rong Ye bared his teeth, his eyes narrowing. He expected the rabbit to tremble, but Tu Yelang didn’t even flinch. Instead, the rabbit beastman made a massive high jump, soaring right over Rong Ye’s head and ignoring him completely.
Rong Ye was stunned. Then, he got furious.
“Hey! You weakling!” Rong Ye barked after him. “Don’t you dare think about my female! You’re no match for us. You’ve met the tiger and the wolf, right? They’re deadly. They love skinning rabbits. You better behave!”
He puffed out his chest, his drenched tails slapping the mud harshly. “And you haven’t even met the third one yet; he is a very deadly snake. He swallows rabbits alive. If you want to stay alive, stay away from my Lan Lan!”
Tu Yelang froze in his tracks. For a split second, the image of Su Qinglan’s face flashed in his mind, but he quickly shook it off. He didn’t want to deal with this hostile fox. He was just going to leave, but Rong Ye’s smug tone was too much to handle.
Tu Yelang turned his head slightly and hissed back, “And what are you for? Decoration?”
Rong Ye froze, his ego taking a direct hit. He quickly recovered with a grin. “Of course! I am the favorite! My female’s most cherished husband. She can’t even sleep without seeing my handsome face. She’s attracted to my body, so I’m the one meant to be by her side. The other three do all the dirty work.”
Tu Yao’s lip twitched. He couldn’t take this idiot seriously. Without another word, he suddenly leaped into the air.
Instead of jumping over him this time, he landed his foot squarely on Rong Ye’s upturned, smug face.
Rong Ye was looking so high at the sky that Tu Yao used his nose as a stepping stone.
“You…! You rabbit!” Rong Ye roared, his face covered in a muddy footprint. He turned and chased after Tu Yao, snarling that he was going to make rabbit stew tonight. But the rabbit beastman was too fast and disappeared into the rainy woods in seconds.
Rong Ye stood there, gritting his teeth and shaking with rage. In his fury, he turned and delivered a massive kick to a large stone nearby.
The stone flew into the air, shattering into dust. But as the debris cleared, Rong Ye’s eyes nearly popped out of his head. His anger vanished, replaced by pure shock.
Underneath where the stone had been, something was there. Something he recognized instantly.
“Stove… you…” he whispered, his voice trembling.
