Chapter 203: Chapter 203: When Gods Stir the Storm
Just as the strange man said those words, Xuan Long felt heat rush up his face, the kind of heat that came from someone pressing exactly the right button.
Although his expression darkened instantly, he forced himself to smooth it out because if he reacted even a little too much, this infuriating man would definitely notice something was wrong.
So he swallowed his irritation, clenched his jaw, and shot him a deadly glare before saying through gritted teeth, “I was just in a slumber, but your rotten rain has ruined everything, and I do not wish to be drowned in water while sleeping.”
The strange man only laughed even louder, as if Xuan Long’s anger was the most entertaining thing he had seen in centuries.
He said with a wicked grin, “How good it would look, a giant snake being drowned in water, and now that you’ve mentioned it, I think I should definitely do it, maybe even drown the entire domain while I’m at it.”
The moment those words left his mouth, Xuan Long felt something snap inside him, his patience thinning to a thread, because honestly, could this man be serious at least once in his useless life.
And when Xuan Long realized this lazy man had absolutely no intention of stopping or even moving away, his expression grew colder and colder until even the ground seemed to freeze below him, and he said sharply, “If you don’t leave… if you don’t control it… then don’t blame me for taking matters into my own hands.”
This time the strange man’s laughter paused mid breath, and he looked at Xuan Long with a stunned expression that clearly said “Are you serious? You’re actually going that far?”
Before he muttered, “Brother, really? You know if someone interferes in a god realm battle, they will face intense backlash, and you also know this fight is inevitable, someone challenged my position and I have to see where they ran off to. I couldn’t care less if a lower domain gets drowned or destroyed,” he added lazily, shrugging as though talking about ruining a whole world was the same as spilling water on the floor.
Xuan Long’s expression stiffened, and he said coldly, “You are truly heartless. The lower domain worships you as a beast god, but what would they think if they found out you don’t care at all about their life or their death?”
But the strange man just laughed again and waved his hand as if the topic was meaningless.
“It’s not like I’m going to destroy them. It’s just rain. They can survive a little flooding,” he said, still wearing that overly relaxed, careless smile.
Xuan Long’s eyes instantly darkened. “Fine. Do whatever you want,” he said, his voice low and dangerous, “but make sure it does not go too far. If it does, I will make sure you learn exactly what I’m capable of.”
The man only grinned wider. “Brother, your serious face is making me curious. Since when did you become so strict? It’s not like this is the first time someone challenged me,” he said lazily, clearly enjoying himself.
Xuan Long had had enough. He didn’t even want to waste another breath on this idiotic man, and he turned around sharply, deciding he’d rather handle this mess himself because clearly this man wasn’t going to cooperate, and he cursed himself for even coming here, for expecting sanity from someone who didn’t even know what that word meant.
But the moment Xuan Long stepped away, the strange man’s eyes flickered and he instantly jumped beside him, practically appearing out of thin air, and said quickly, “Brother, are you angry? Why are you angry? I was just joking. How could I ignore your words?”
To Xuan Long, it only felt like this man was provoking him from every angle possible, squeezing irritation out of him like pressing on a bruise,
But he only huffed and continued walking away from that cursed place, because if not for this bastard fighting right above their domain, Xuan Long would have never come here in the first place.
The strange man followed him for a while, throwing a few more annoying comments, but when Xuan Long didn’t reply even once, he lost interest, slowed his steps, and finally stopped completely, watching as Xuan Long’s figure disappeared in the distance.
His carefree smile faded instantly, replaced by a sharp, calm expression as he muttered, “It’s the first time I’ve seen emotion in your eyes. I refuse to believe you’re not hiding something.” His lips curled into a mischievous grin, and he added under his breath, “Just wait for me. I’ll come visit soon.”
But before he could finish enjoying his own ominous promise, a thunderous roar exploded beside him, shaking the air, and his entire expression twisted in annoyance as he muttered, “These bastards really can’t wait.”
With a disgusted look, he turned toward the direction of the roar. “Let me deal with them first. Then I’ll visit my dear brother’s home.”
And with that, he vanished, and almost immediately after, a deafening roar erupted across the horizon, followed by a chain of blasts that shook the very bones of the land.
The ground convulsed beneath the force, shuddering as if trying to brace itself for destruction it was never meant to withstand.
In mere minutes, the entire region quivered on the brink of collapse, its fragile reality buckling under the storm of unleashed power.
Because when beings of the God Domain fought, nothing beneath them remained untouched.
Their clash was not simply violent… it was existence shattering.
A single strike from either side could reduce entire provinces of the lower domain into dust; a prolonged exchange was nothing short of cataclysmic.
Above, the sky convulsed like a living creature thrown into agony. Clouds twisted into spirals, devouring each other, devouring the light, until only a bruised darkness remained. The heavens desperately tried to absorb the sheer impact, but it was like asking a thin sheet of paper to stop a falling mountain.
It couldn’t. It never could.
Soon the energy turned into chaos as more rain kept falling harder and harder, as if someone’s fury was being dumped over the land without mercy, drowning the lower domain in a torrent that showed no sign of stopping.
