Chapter 190: Chapter 190: This Intimacy… He Can’t Handle It
Taking a massive, shuddering breath, Han Jue looked at Su Qinglan’s face. She was lying back, eyes closed in relief, trusting him entirely.

“Lan Lan,” he murmured, his voice thick and low. “The last place…” He couldn’t elaborate.

With the utmost tenderness, he slid his hands down, gently cupping the outsides of her thighs. “I need to look,” he whispered, his eyes asking for permission.

Su Qinglan, lost in the sensation of cool relief, simply let her legs fall open slightly as his hands guided them. Her final layer of shame dissolved.

She felt her skin become thicker… the sensation was just too good. She couldn’t resist it, and this was now a necessary medical procedure performed by a caring mate. How could she refuse it? She had to be considerate… lala~.

Han Jue stared down, his gaze immediately taking in the swollen redness. His face turned beetroot red, but his protective instincts roared, overriding his immediate physical reaction. That stupid, careless tiger!

His heart ached at the sight. It was his first time seeing it, but he knew it was definitely swollen. He gulped and immediately dipped one finger deeply into the paste, collecting a generous amount. He inhaled sharply, closed his eyes for a split second, and then committed.

Slowly, carefully, he pressed the cool, minty paste onto her outer swollen folds.

“Ah…!” Su Qinglan gasped, her back arching slightly, her eyes flying wide open. It was a jolt—shockingly cool and startlingly intimate—but the pain relief was immediate, intense, and exquisitely distracting. A low moan escaped her lips, half surprise, half relief.

Han Jue heard the sound, and the breath hitched in his chest. He felt all the body heat rushing in a certain direction, but he immediately shifted so it would not be obvious. Focus! It is medicine! It is necessary!

“Does it hurt?” he managed to ask in a mosquito voice.

“No… no, it’s… so cool,” she whispered, her eyes fluttering shut again. She reached out and grasped his arms, her fingers digging into the muscle, anchoring herself against the fierce sensations.

Even without realizing, she plastered herself shamelessly to him… Ahh… why are all of them so good… her poor heart… it would overflow.

Han Jue felt the tightness of her grip and took it as a signal to continue. He gently spread the paste, his touch moving from the outside inward, meticulously covering every inflamed area. His fingers were surprisingly soft, considering the sheer size of his hands.

And then, he realized the paste needed to be applied deeper.

With a deep, cleansing breath that he held in his chest, he used his finger to gently press past her outer lips, entering her soft passage just enough to coat the immediate insides.

“A-a-aah… Han Jue!” Su Qinglan cried out, a powerful, involuntary wave of pleasure and shock washing over her. She gripped his arms tighter, her whole body tensing.

She had completely surrendered to the physical relief, but the sudden, intimate depth of his touch… his finger moving inside her… was overwhelming.

She could only gasp his name.

“Jue-Jue, your hand is so big,” Su Qinglan said, then realized just how wrong it sounded.

“Lan Lan…” He could only shudder. He didn’t even know how to reply… should he be happy or cry? All he wanted was to run away from here.

Finally, he felt satisfied with the application. He slowly withdrew his finger, which glistened with the creamy paste and her own moisture.

He gently closed her legs, covered her entire body with the edge of the hide, and then immediately drew back, his body trembling slightly, his heart slamming against his chest like a war drum.

“There,” he managed, his voice sounding entirely too strained. “It should feel better now.”

He dared not linger anymore… one more comment of hers and he would definitely lose himself here.

“I will bring you something to eat!” he announced in a rush, his voice tight and uneven. He didn’t wait for a reply, a thank you, or even a second glance. He just needed to be out. He practically ran out from the main cave area and into the outer cooking area, without giving Su Qinglan a chance to say a single word.

Su Qinglan stared at the empty space where Han Jue had just been. Her lips were swollen, her body was tingling from the cooling paste, and she felt delightfully sore and loved.

He is so shy! she giggled internally. He applied the medicine so thoroughly, too! He’s so good.

Meanwhile, Han Jue stood just outside the cave, leaning against the cold stone wall. He took a deep, ragged breath, trying desperately to calm his wildly beating heart. He looked down and immediately sighed in resignation.

His own desire was now standing too proud for his liking, a throbbing, undeniable reaction to the intimacy and vulnerability of his mate.

He grumbled under his breath. Now he had to wash his clothes in the middle of the night, and he had to do it before fetching the food; otherwise, he would be walking back to his mate looking completely inappropriate.

He found a secluded spot just outside the cave entrance. He cursed Hu Yan and Rong Ye one last time for leaving him in this tortured situation. Then, he raised his hand—the same hand that was still lightly coated with the herb juice and her slickness—and began to furiously rub his member.

The release, when it finally came, was powerful, fast, and intensely focused. His jaw clenched tight, and he buried his face against his own shoulder, letting out a low, guttural sound that was swallowed by the night air.

As the physical storm subsided, he whispered her name, his voice ragged with desire and shame: “Lan Lan.”

After finally steadying his breath and washing himself clean, Han Jue quickly reheated the food. The faint warmth and aroma gave him a little confidence—at least he could make her eat properly tonight. But the moment he stepped into the inner cave, he froze.

Su Qinglan had fallen asleep.

Her breathing was soft, peaceful, her lashes resting lightly against her cheeks like tiny feathers. The sight tugged something deep inside him.

“Lan Lan… are you asleep?” he whispered.

No response.

He sighed quietly, guilt gathering in his chest like a heavy stone.

If he hadn’t taken so long…

If he hadn’t…

Maybe she wouldn’t have waited until exhaustion claimed her.

He set the food aside carefully, making sure it would stay warm enough for when she woke. He didn’t have the heart to wake her.

Moving slowly, he lay down beside her. For a long while, he simply watched her—her delicate face, her relaxed expression, the way her soft hair spilled around her like silk.

His heart softened, melted, and completely surrendered.

Bowing his head, he pressed a feather-light kiss to her forehead.

“Lan Lan…” he breathed, voice barely more than a trembling whisper. “I… I also want to be your mate.”

The confession burned quietly in his chest. It would be a lie to say he wasn’t jealous… jealous of Hu Yan, of Xuan Long. When he discovered their marks on her skin, his heart had nearly twisted itself apart.

He longed for his own mark on her—

a snow-white wolf’s imprint against her soft, rosy skin.

Just imagining it made his heartbeat stutter, made something warm bloom in his chest.

Without realizing it, he moved closer. His arms slipped around her, drawing her gently against him as if she were the most precious thing in the world.

Wrapped around her warmth, heart full and aching, Han Jue drifted asleep… still holding her as though he would never let go.
