- Chapter 142 - 142 Chapter 142 Xuan Long Meets Luo Chen-II
142: Chapter 142: Xuan Long Meets Luo Chen-II 142: Chapter 142: Xuan Long Meets Luo Chen-II Without wasting time, he followed the trail silently but deadly.
Every tree he passed carried his scent, marking his anger as he moved.
His sharp senses led him straight to the source.
And when he reached the place, the sight in front of him froze his blood.
On the ground, a female was struggling and crying weakly.
The stench of fear and those crushed herbs filled the air.
And right above her, the same filthy owl beastman was pressing her down, trying to force something into her mouth.
The snake beastman’s eyes went cold as ice.
His pupils thinned even more, turning into sharp slits of a feral beast.
That was the same scent.
The same filthy scent from that night.
It was him.
The snake beastman’s hand clenched, his body radiating cold fury.
The soft, handsome features on his face twisted slightly, and a dangerous air rolled off him like a wave.
Every tree nearby seemed to tremble slightly under his hidden aura.
When his gaze landed on the injured owl beastman, it was as if the world went silent.
He didn’t need to think twice.
His voice came out deep and calm, but every word carried a deadly warning.
“What are you doing to a female?” he said coldly.
“Release her…
now.” His long black hair swayed in the wind, his pale skin glowing faintly in the sunlight filtering through the trees, but his eyes…
those dark, snake-like eyes were filled with nothing but killing intent.
But the owl beastman, Luo Chen, only screeched back at him, puffing his body like some mad bird.
He even forgot about the female he had just been holding down.
He threw her aside like garbage and faced Xuan Long with wild eyes.
Bai Lianhua hit the dirt and immediately crawled away like her life depended on it.
She didn’t care where she was going; she just wanted to get far away from these mad beasts.
But Xuan Long didn’t even look at her.
His eyes were locked on the owl beastman, his expression colder than frost.
This beastman is insane, he thought.
First he kidnapped Su Qinglan, and now he’s targeting another female.
He’s a real pest.
Probably rotten to his bones.
He sighed quietly, already annoyed, his sharp eyes narrowing like slits.
He didn’t even want to waste breath on such trash.
But he would also not allow such a pest to breathe the same air as his female.
On the other hand, Luo Chen didn’t realize the danger.
He was already mad at this bitch, and now suddenly a feral beastman came to provoke him.
His already wounded ego would hurt more if he ran away from here.
And being the arrogant idiot he was, he thought he could actually fight him.
Luo Chen growled and spread his wings slightly, feathers shaking.
“You think you can scare me, you stinky feral beastman?!” He hissed, puffing his chest even though his feathers were half-broken already.
Bai Lianhua, meanwhile, seeing the tall, pale, and cold Xuan Long standing there like a god, suddenly changed her plan.
She immediately crawled up from the ground while wiping her tears and ran toward him with shining eyes.
“Brother!
Please save me!” She cried again, this time even softer, like she had forgotten about all the blood and dirt on her.
She thought maybe if she looked helpless enough, this handsome beastman would pull her into his arms.
So she ran with all her might and arms out, ready to throw herself right into his strong embrace.
But Xuan Long didn’t even glance at her.
His cold eyes stayed fixed on the filthy owl beastman, who was now trying to circle him.
And just when Luo Chen jumped forward to attack, Xuan Long’s pupils flashed into sharp emerald slits, and in a blink, his whole form changed.
A massive green serpent burst out where the man stood.
His scales were bright emerald, shining like wet jade under the sunlight.
His body was huge and thick as a tree trunk, and the ground itself trembled when he moved.
Bai Lianhua froze mid-step.
Her eyes went round as plates.
Her mouth fell open.
The “handsome man” she was just running to hug had turned into a giant snake.
For one long second, her mind went blank.
Then she screamed.
“AHHHHH!
A snake!
A huge snake!!
Save me!!” She almost tripped on her own legs, turned around, and started running the opposite way so fast she looked like a rolling ball of dirt.
But before she could go far, Xuan Long’s tail snapped out toward the owl beastman who was midair trying to claw him.
BAM!
One hit and Luo Chen flew like a broken leaf and crashed into a tree.
The sound was so loud even Bai Lianhua’s scream stopped halfway.
Dust exploded everywhere.
The owl beastman hung halfway bent on the trunk, feathers scattering all around like snow.
Bai Lianhua, who had been running, also tripped and face-planted straight into the mud.
She spat out a mouthful of dirt and burst into tears again, crying both from fear and embarrassment.
“My handsome beastman turned into a snake!
A big scary snake!” she wailed, rolling on the ground.
She couldn’t believe how such a good beastman turned out to be a snake beastman.
Why is the beast god so unfair?
But neither of them cared.
Xuan Long moved again, tail sweeping the ground with a deep whoosh, and hit Luo Chen once more before the poor fool could even stand.
This time the owl beastman rolled across the ground like a spinning wheel.
“Stop…!
Stop, you damn snake…!” But Xuan Long didn’t even blink.
He caught him with his tail again and slammed him onto the ground a few more times, bang bang bang, like he was hitting a drum.
Bai Lianhua peeked through her messy hair and couldn’t help but gasp from disbelief.
So powerful.
She knew Luo Chen was so powerful, but he was beaten like this without any face.
She could only imagine just how strong this snake was.
He could beat Luo Chen without breaking a sweat.
And Xuan Long wasn’t even angry now.
His face looked calm, like he was doing some light exercise.
After a few more slams, Luo Chen couldn’t take it and transformed into his full beast form, a huge owl with messy feathers, screeching and flapping desperately.
But the snake beastman was faster.
His tail shot up again, and this time he started plucking him.
Yes, plucking.
Each hit was followed by a bunch of feathers flying in the air.
Luo Chen screeched louder, trying to escape, but it only made Xuan Long more focused.
He had thought after transforming he could almost hold his ground without rolling, but this damn snake was not even giving him time to breathe.
Within minutes, the owl beastman was almost bald.
A sad, half-naked trembling bird stood there, his tiny bald head sticking out awkwardly as he was wrapped tightly by Xuan Long.
Bai Lianhua covered her mouth with wide eyes, trying not to laugh, but when she saw a few stray feathers land on her face, she couldn’t help it.
She laughed out loud.
Serves right to this mad beastman; he is just a useless bird who couldn’t even fight a snake beastman.
Shouldn’t he just die from this embarrassment?
The owl beastman heard her laughing and glared at her with a red face, but that only made it worse because he looked even funnier…
like a chicken that just came out of boiling water.
