105: Chapter 105: Bai Lianhua’s Restless Night 105: Chapter 105: Bai Lianhua’s Restless Night It was already late at night.

The tribe was quiet, and the moonlight fell softly on the ground.

Most of the females were already asleep in the large shared cave.

Bai Lianhua, however, couldn’t sleep.

She stood outside, pacing back and forth, her face full of worry.

The night wind brushed against her hair, but her heart was burning with unease.

She was far away from the cave now, standing near the edge of the forest.

She looked around.

Everything was silent.

“Why hasn’t he come back yet?” She muttered under her breath.

Luo Chen had promised her that if everything went as planned, he would come to her tonight.

But it was already midnight, and there was still no sign of him.

Neither Luo Chen nor Su Qinglan had returned.

Even Su Qinglan’s beast husband was missing.

Her heart beat faster.

Did the plan fail?

Or… did something go wrong?

She bit her lip hard.

Her mind was full of restless thoughts.

She didn’t want anyone to find out the truth that she was the one who pushed Luo Chen to do it.

It all started because of her fear.

Luo Chen had once threatened her, saying that if she didn’t obey him, he would take her by force.

Bai Lianhua had always been terrified of him.

He was cruel, ruthless, and dangerous.

He had already killed several beastmen in the tribe before, and she had accidentally seen it.

And after that he was always threatening her and even going as far as to threaten to forcefully mate with her.

So, to save herself, she gave him an idea…an evil idea.

She told him to kill Liu Shan’s beast husband.

If Liu Shan lost her husband, she would be sent to the female cave, since she would have no mate to protect her.

And Luo Chen could have her there easily.

Bai Lianhua thought this plan would keep his attention away from her.

But things didn’t go as she hoped.

Su Qinglan suddenly appeared and ruined everything.

She saved Liu Shan, and now everyone in the tribe was talking about it.

Some even said Su Qinglan had healing powers and could help Liu Shan bear cubs.

If that happened, Bai Lianhua’s plan would be completely destroyed.

She clenched her fists tightly.

“That woman… she just had to show up and ruin everything.” Luo Chen had been furious when he heard about Su Qinglan.

He said he would kill her too.

And Bai Lianhua didn’t stop him…

in fact, she encouraged him.

She told him that if Su Qinglan was gone, Liu Shan would lose her only protector and surely be sent to the female cave.

Then, both of Bai Lianhua’s problems…Su Qinglan and Luo Chen would be gone from her life.

It was a perfect plan… or so she thought.

But now, standing alone under the cold moonlight, she wasn’t so sure anymore.

The forest was silent.

No one came.

No sound, no movement…

just the soft rustling of leaves.

Her face turned pale.

“Why is he not back yet?” she whispered again.

“Did something happen?” Fear slowly crept into her chest.

She didn’t know if Luo Chen failed… or if Su Qinglan survived.

And if Su Qinglan did survive…

Bai Lianhua’s hands trembled.

If the truth came out… she would be finished.

She wrapped her arms around herself and glanced toward the dark forest one last time.

The night felt colder than ever.

Somewhere deep inside, she wished that both Luo Chen and Su Qinglan would never come back.

Bai Lianhua kept pacing back and forth under the cold moonlight.

Her fingers twisted the edge of her clothes, and her face was filled with worry.

The forest around her was quiet, with only the sound of the wind brushing through the leaves.

Every passing second made her more anxious.

Her heart was pounding fast in her chest, and her hands were cold with sweat.

She kept glancing at the forest path again and again, hoping to see Luo Chen’s figure appear.

But no one came.

Then suddenly, she heard something, a soft sound of footsteps moving in the bushes behind her.

She froze instantly.

Her eyes widened as she turned her head slightly.

The sound came closer…

leaves crunching, dry twigs snapping under someone’s feet.

Her heart almost jumped out of her chest.

For a moment, she thought it might be Luo Chen finally returning.

Her fear turned into relief, and her face brightened with hope.

“Luo Chen?” she whispered softly.

“Is that you?” But no voice answered her.

The bushes rustled again, and then she saw it.

A pair of deep, glowing red eyes staring straight at her from the darkness.

Her blood ran cold.

She screamed at the top of her lungs and turned around, running for her life.

The sound of her panicked footsteps echoed through the forest.

“Ahhh!

Help!

A beast!” she cried out with a trembling voice.

In her mind, she was sure that some evil ferocious beast had entered the tribe grounds.

She could almost feel its breath behind her, chasing her through the trees.

She ran as fast as she could, but her pampered body was not made for such effort.

Her feet stumbled over roots and stones, and before she could even realize it, her leg got caught in a hanging vine.

She fell forward hard.

Her jaw hit a stone on the ground, and pain shot through her mouth.

“Ahhh!” she cried, clutching her chin.

Tears filled her eyes immediately as she sat on the ground, sobbing.

“It hurts!

It hurts so much…” she wailed like a child.

And then, from behind the bushes, the figure stepped out.

The red eyes dimmed and turned normal as the figure shifted and transformed into a male beastman.

When Bai Lianhua saw who it was, her crying suddenly stopped.

Her tears still hung on her lashes, but her expression changed from fear to irritation.

It wasn’t a wild beast at all; it was Wang Mo, one of the tribe members.

He was an elk beastman; he was tall and well-built, with calm golden-brown eyes and short horns that glimmered faintly in the moonlight.

He wasn’t weak either; he was a four-striped beastman, strong enough to protect himself and others, though not as powerful as Hu Yan.
