- Chapter 290 - 290 290- The Immortal Fang
290: 290- The Immortal Fang.
290: 290- The Immortal Fang.
Fang Yuan slowly turned, his gaze settling on Lin Zhaoyue.
She met his eyes for a brief heartbeat before instinctively pulling the blanket up to shield herself, as though he were a stranger.
A faint frown formed between Fang Yuan’s brows, but it smoothed just as quickly.
“…As long as she’s alive,” he said quietly.
“That is more than enough for now.
We can only try and help her to recover her memories, when the time is right.” Fang Jingyi exhaled softly and nodded, relief mingled with concern in her eyes.
Fang Yuan let out a slow breath as he turned to Fang Jingyi.
“Aunt,” he said, voice firm but low, “I’m relocating the entire Fang Family, far away from here.
Tell everyone who has chosen to stay behind to gather in one place..
I’m going to relocate everyone who’s staying behind, but don’t spread the word, make sure no-one knows.
No one must know we’re relocating, understand?” His tone carried no room for doubt and it wasn’t even open for discussion.
It was a move for survival, swift, silent, absolute.
Fang Jingyi’s expression tightened but she knew better than to question his decisions.
“Understood,” she said, giving a firm nod.
“I’ll handle it immediately.” She moved to leave, but Fang Yuan’s voice stopped her at the door.
“And Aunt…” he added, eyes flickering briefly toward the bed where Lin Zhaoyue sat, quietly watching them from behind the blanket.
“Don’t tell anyone about her condition.
Not yet..” Fang Jingyi met his gaze and then gave a polite bow.
“I won’t say a word,” she replied.
“What about the Qin and Azure Phoenix armies outside?” Fang Yuan’s smiled.
“I have a surprise prepared for them.” Fang Jingyi gave one last nod and hurried out to carry his orders.
The room grew quiet.
For a moment Fang Yuan stood there, staring at the door after she left, thoughts running like storm clouds beneath still waters.
Then, slowly, he turned back toward the bed.
Lin Zhaoyue had pulled the blanket up to her chin, watching him warily.
He walked a few steps closer, his voice gentler now.
“Rest for now.
You don’t have to remember anything today.” A faint smile tugged at his lips.
“Just focus on enjoying your stay.
Any trouble you encounter… I’ll handle them all.” Lin Zhaoyue blinked at him as he turned away without another word and headed for the courtyard.
Fang Yuan lifted his hand and, with a thought, summoned the system interface before him.
Lines of golden text materialized in the air, in his eyes.

Lin Zhaoyue’s name was no longer there.
His jaw tightened almost imperceptibly.
So even faith can vanish with memory… She had once been his greatest pillar of faith generation but now, just like her cultivation, that contribution was gone.
He let out a faint breath, not quite a sigh, not quite resignation.
“It can’t be helped,” he muttered.
“At least she’s alive.
The rest can be rebuilt.” Fang Yuan waved his hand, and a translucent screen unfolded before him.
[System Shop – Weapon Arsenal Opened] Rows of weapons shimmered into view-Grade 3 blades, rare Grade 4 artifacts, and then… something that made his eyes narrow sharply.
A Grade 5 weapon.
His pulse stirred.
Without hesitation, he tap on it to take a closer look.
It was a spear, simple yet beautiful in design.
Its shaft appeared to be forged from cold black iron but the spearhead was a different story, a deep, blood-red sheen clung to the metal.
A line of text flickered beneath the weapon: [Crimson Soul Spear – Grade 5] Cost: 300,000 Faith Points Description: Forged in blood, tempered in slaughter.
One thrust of this spear can wound even those of the Hollow Spirit Realm.
Fang Yuan’s gaze sharpened as a glint of satisfaction passed through his eyes.
A Grade Five weapon… Fang Yuan’s eyes lingered on the spear for a long moment.
His reflection shimmered faintly across its blood-red spearhead.
Weapons of this grade were rarely seen even in ancient sects, let alone in a clan as small as his.
For a heartbeat, he hesitated, calculating risk versus necessity.
Then his gaze hardened and without another thought, he tapped the screen.
[ –300,000 Faith Points deducted Remaining Faith Points: 69,000] A pulse of crimson light flared from the screen.
Space trembled and with a dull metallic thud, the spear materialized before him, hovering in the air like a silent executioner.
The entire room grew colder.
Even Fang Yuan felt a faint pressure coil around him like a serpent.
A slow breath escaped him as his fingers wrapped around the spear shaft.
The weapon seemed to pulse faintly, as though alive.
A wellspring of immense life force surged within it, restrained by a vicious will hidden beneath its surface.
Fang Yuan lifted it slowly, feeling that wild energy resisting him for a breath, then submitting.
He gave it an experimental swing, then a spin.
The spear moved with frightening smoothness, like it was cutting through silk, yet every motion carried lethal intent.
A faint smile touched his lips as he lowered the spear and murmured to himself: “A weapon like this… is worthy of Xiao Pei.” He gave the spear a few more swings, slow at first, testing its weight, then faster, sharper, until the air itself began to keen around the blade.
Each thrust carried a vicious bite, each sweep left faint ripples in space.
Fang Yuan’s eyes narrowed with satisfaction.
Yes.
This is good.
In fact..
it’s perfect.
He stopped and rested the spear against his shoulder, a rare glint of amusement in his eyes.
I want to see Xiao Pei’s face when he receives this… He spread his divine sense outward like a silent tidal wave.
In an instant, his awareness swept across the Fang Estate and found Xiao Pei in an instant.
Without another thought, Fang Yuan stepped forward and the world folded around him.
A ripple in space opened, silent and unseen by mortal eyes.
Fang Yuan vanished with spear in hand and in the span of a single heartbeat, he stepped out of the Void.
His boots hit the earth with a low crunch of dust.
He stood at the edge of a sprawling gathering as he watched hundreds of Fang family members crowded around a raised platform.
At the center of it all stood Xiao Pei, sleeves rolled up, voice booming like thunder.
“…and that’s why we do not falter!” Xiao Pei roared, pointing at the crowd with fierce conviction.
“Others break when the world crushes them, we sharpen in the fire!
The Fang family doesn’t quit!” The crowd leaned in, eyes blazing, fists clenched.
“You push through pain!
Through fear!
Through despair!
Your body may fall but your will, your story, your name will live on!” His words struck like war drums, pounding, relentless.
Then Xiao Pei threw his head back and roared: “THE FANG FAMILY IS IMMORTAL!!” He spread his arms wide, daring the heavens to deny him.
“Name me a clan, any clan, that can forces two kingdoms to march against it!
Name one!” His challenge cracked through the air like a whip.
For a heartbeat, there was silence then the crowd erupted.
“THERE IS NONE!!” “FANG FAMILY!!” “IMMORTAL!!” “FANG FAMILY!!” “IMMORTAL!!” A hundred voices rose in unison, beating the earth with their fury: “FANG FAMILY!!
IMMORTAL!!
FANG FAMILY!!
IMMORTAL!!”
