Chapter 569: The Nostalgic Inn
The limousine brakes hissed gently as it parked outside a familiar landscape. With a click, the handbrake held the car in place as two maids stepped out, guarding and opening the door for Nikolai and his wives.

“Hm?”

Nikolai helped Selene and Anya out of the car while glancing up at the nostalgic yet slightly different hotel. ‘Have they done some renovations?’ The dark walls shone with a crisp, glossy colour with beautiful shells painted in blue and white.

“It seems different,” Selene whispered into his ear while leaning against his shoulder. The soft feeling of her chest, swallowing his arm between them, was quite pleasant. “Right, darling?”

He noticed the small double window and balcony remained in the room he booked. But the furnishing and quality looked much better.

“I think they’ve renovated, Selene. It looks nice.”

“Mm~ Baby, I feel a little tired… can we head upstairs?” Anya’s beautiful cheeks looked paler than usual, and her golden skin lacked the usual glossy shine.

Nikolai wrapped both their little waists with his arms and slowly approached the hotel. Beside him, Lunaria huffed in complaint about favouritism. Then she snorted because he paid more attention to Selene and Anya.

‘Well, she’ll change her tone later.’

The group approached the door and couldn’t help but admire the new design. The old atmosphere remained, but instead of musty wooden panels and beams, well-decorated and furnished pictures helped create the same atmosphere.

“Wow, that’s so old!” Anya beamed at the old-fashioned piano in the corner, surrounded by an arc of windows and a small stage.

The scent of cinnamon and honey leaked from the kitchen, helping calm the group once they stepped inside. The thick carpets were comfortable, like walking on clouds.

“Hello!” A rather good-looking old man called out to them, showing a welcoming smile. “Are you here to book a room, or have you made a booking?”

Nikolai hugged Anya and Selene tighter, approaching the front desk, now made of glistening black marble, with specks that resembled stars inside. “Evening, I have a booking under then name Volkov.”

“Oh! It’s you, no wonder. One moment, young man.”

The old man’s smile grew as he struggled to tap the keys on the keyboard. Evidently, after giving the inn to his father, the front desk upgraded to a more convenient app instead of using books and writing the details by hand.

With a few taps, the old man pulled two black cards from the printer behind him.

“There we go, the Honeymoon suite and the Lover’s suite, both booked for two nights.” The old man’s eyes sparkled as he handed the two keys.

‘Hmm, it seems that managed to add a new suit after upgrading the inn.’ One room was for Nikolai and Lunaria, and Selene, while the other was for Anya, who would date him again with Clara in a few days. Thus, today, he wouldn’t focus on her.

“Thanks, are meals included?”

“Well, don’t worry. With the suites, we add room service at no further charge. As you’ve already added the requested meals, they will be served at 6 am, 12 pm and 6 pm respectively.”

“I see.”

Lunaria’s breath blew down his neck from behind as she leaned against him. “If we wish to order more, can we?” Her voice was low, almost like a seductive growl, which tickled the tip of Nikolai’s ear.

“Of course, Mrs Volkov.”

Although polygamy wasn’t illegal in this world, it was something that wasn’t easy, and most couples who weren’t extremely rich or devoted avoided it. The old man had already read the order and knew that these women were all the handsome young man’s wives, and showed a respectful attitude to them.

The old man handed over a small touchpad, the brand a mid-tier business, but the app itself showed the hotel’s logo and had several menus, from late-night takeout orders to room service and booking a longer stay.

“Please use the special pad included in each room, and have a pleasant stay.”

He glanced at the large bags beside Nikolai. But when he was about to speak, his eyes popped open, watching the maids lift them with ease. “I see…” He smiled and gave a pleasant bow to Nikolai, who returned a smile of his own.

This hotel carried important emotions and memories for Lunaria and Selene; it was a place where he slept with Selene, who was half possessed by the soul of Lunaria. Not only that, it was the place where Selene conceived their child.

“Shall we go upstairs?” He glanced at his three wives.

Luna just hummed, her delicate hands hooking his chest, while sticking close behind him, matching each of his steps with a delighted expression. Anya’s face remained pale, and she struggled to walk, letting her weight lean on Nikolai as he half lifted her to the stairs.

“Darling, I will help look after Anya for now. You should enjoy tonight and relax.” Selene’s crimson eyes narrowed into slits as she stepped on her tiptoes and kissed his neck. The soft warmth of her lips lingered even after she pulled back.

“Alright, but I’ll carry you both upstairs first.”

“Nn.”

Anya’s state really worried him, but when he spread his aura through her body, there wasn’t any significant issue, other than the black energy left in her body rapidly flowing towards her womb.

‘I see… Anya’s pregnant too, I only half believed it.’

Her state resembled Nikita’s before she gave birth, and so as he held them both tight, with their arms and legs wrapping his body. He pumped her body full of his aura, helping to replace the lost energy.

“Hnnn~”

A lovely moan slipped from Anya’s lips as she hummed in his ears.

‘What caused it?’

Nikolai wondered what made Anya’s condition so fragile. Maybe because there was no sign of her struggling for the past two weeks, it seemed strange… But then he remembered something.

‘Is it because of my blood?’

Thinking back to what stimulated Nikita, it was her drinking his blood more often during pregnancy, which spurred the babies to start activity.

With each step up the stairs, he observed her face.

The more of his aura they flowed into her, the more her glossy golden colouring returned.

“Good, rest easy my little wife.”

“Is everything alright, Nikolai?” Selene spoke with a more serious voice while glancing at her sister. She didn’t fight when something happened, always dropping her desires when the other women suffered or needed help.

‘Maybe this is why I’ve fallen so deeply in love with her…’

Back in the past, she would just fight or shout. Now… her fingertips stroked Anya’s sweaty forehead clean, with an endearing expression on her face. “It resembles what happened to Nikita.” Her pretty red eyes glanced back at Nikolai as if searching for his reaction. “Will she be okay with just your aura?”

“Don’t worry, Selene, it’ll be fine.”

Slowly, he explained how drinking too much of his blood triggered the child in her stomach to seek more of the overwhelming and nutritious energy in her blood. But because that energy is limited, it started draining the vitality of Anya.

Thus, he began to pump his aura directly to both the child and Anya’s body, slowly changing Anya’s heart to be able to produce enough of his special blood.

“Is it dangerous?” Lunaria also whispered, while glancing at her youngest sister. The cute Anya used to think she was hated, but the truth was opposite; the two women put down their competition for Anya.

“No, it’s fine… because she is a hybrid, the process is much easier than it was for Selene and Nikita…”

“Eh, have you already helped me?” Selene tilted her head.

Nikolai squeezed her plump thigh and nodded. “Because I saw this issue in Nikita. The fear of losing you girls drove me to help those of you who weren’t hybrids. Though I honestly didn’t know Anya was really pregnant…”

“Fool… of course she was, this girl is so shy with the real things but acts so rebellious as a front.”

Selene pulled on Anya’s plump cheeks with a smile. She rarely showed such emotions on the outside, but knowing the thoughts of her sisters was something that came as easily as breathing to this cold big sister.

“Darling, this silly girl just didn’t want to cause you trouble. Make sure you pretend not to know anything later. I will solve anything.” Selene stroked her sister’s face before glancing at Lunaria, who hugged Anya from the other side.

“True, this foolish brat tried to steal her big sister’s man, but we can’t hate her. She looks just like our mother.”

‘These girls, did I ever think this could happen in the past?’

Nikolai helped Selene take Anya to the Lover’s Room, which was a huge room with a four-poster bed bigger than a super king-size. Added to that was a bathroom, a small kitchen for heating and making tea or coffee and a second bedroom with a smaller bed.

When he lay Anya down, she sank into the high-quality mattress with a soft sigh, and her little snoring grew louder and louder after he tucked her in.

“I’ll take care of her for now, baby… go take Luna and show her a good time,” Selene whispered into Nikolai’s ear as she unfolded the coat and jacket she and Anya brought with them, slowly peeling an apple and making little rabbits on a plate.

“I see, sorry Selene.”

She spun on her feet, holding a rabbit apple at the end of her fork to his lips.

“Shhhh~ we’re all your wives, be good and keep your promise to me.”

“Ah…” With a crunch, he ate the sweet, juicy apple. The flavour tingled in his mouth as saliva gathered like magic. He took one last look at the glamorous Selene, gently stroking Anya’s hair with a smile on her face. The image of the most ideal mother in his mind…

‘…’

“Ahem!” Luna cleared her throat at the door, a little jealous of how Nikolai stared at Selene in a trance. She held out her hand for him to take. “Let’s go, husband.”

With a bitter grin, he could only comfort himself that dating more than two girls might be a little too annoying.

There was just too much to pay attention to!
