Chapter 421: Lucian, my guy, take your foot out of your mouth
“Cass, I’ve seen-”

“Shut up, Lucian! I took back that question!” Cass was loud. He knew it. He was shouting, because he really, really did not want to have another conversation like this right now.

Everyone was staring at him, and Cass watched as Edgar’s eyes lit up as he inhaled sharply.

“You’ve seen what, Lucian?” Edgar asked, excitement in his voice. Cass bit his lip.

“He saw nothing.” Cass fired back and Lucian let out a low rumble.

“Sweetness.” Lucian chastised and Cass was indignant that the other man was going to attempt this. He didn’t like Lord Ridgewood. Why the fuck was he ‘evening the playing field’? That’s what this felt like!

“Don’t.” Cass warned, but Lucian, the idiot, went forward.

“Cass has been watching us, all of us, rather intently. I’ve seen him watching Gideon work out before.” Lucian said and Cass had no words. What made it worse, however, was when a light went off behind Lord Ridgewood’s eyes. His green gaze widened in shock as the truth dawned on him, and he turned his stunned expression towards Cass.

“I’ve caught you watching me before while I was training.” Lord Ridgewood said slowly, and Edgar gasped like something scandalous was happening. Maybe it was, but Cass was not going to handle it well.

“So what?” Cass asked, getting defensive. Lucian chuckled.

“There is no need to get snippy, Cassy Baby. We’re just figuring some things out.” He said and Cass turned to glare at him.

“Just figuring some things out? You could have not mentioned this, Lucian.” Cass said, annoyed, and Lord Ridgewood shifted on his feet. The trio who had heightened hearing turned to look at him.

“I think I would have been upset if he hadn’t.” Lord Ridgewood admitted, looking rather confused. “I didn’t think anything of it at the time, just you…observing me.” He said and Cass swallowed.

“It was just that.” Cass argued, but Lucian gave a soft scoff.

“You stare whenever I show off my body.” Lucian pointed out and Cass felt his whole face go red.

“So?” Cass argued and Lucian let out a sigh.

“Cass, just be honest. Just say that you like well maintained bodies. It’s nothing to be ashamed of.” Lucian said, trying to sound encouraging.

Cass would rather fucking die again.

“We are supposed to be talking about what we are going to do now that Fiona and Ava are gone.” Cass knew he sounded desperate. He was. He did not want to talk about this. At least Edgar looked sympathetic, and he wasn’t participating in this insanity. Lucian shifted under him, causing Cass to have to grab onto him for stability as he did so.

“Whose to say that we can’t do both? As far as I see it, we need to speak to the gods, i.e. you and Eddie need to go talk to them to see what the hell is going on. Oh, by the way, Cass, why do you keep staring at Gideon when you think no one is watching?” Cass’ jaw dropped. Edgar gasped.

“Lucy!” He scolded, but didn’t say anything else to recover the situation for Cass. Lord Ridgewood seemed the most shocked of all.

“You can eat my full fucking ass.” Cass snarled, infuriated and tried to get out of Lucian’s lap. The dragon, however, had other thoughts.

“Don’t run away. It’s nothing to be ashamed of. It’s better for this to be out in the open so we can say yay or nay together. Otherwise, I’m going to be going around in circles for weeks about this.” Lucian said and Cass smacked his chest.

“You’re going to be going around for weeks about this? What the fuck about me? I have to replace Fiona in the fucking hero party, Lucian! I really do not need to be taking on more work!” Cass protested and Lucian grabbed Cass’ chin because Cass had been avoiding his gaze this whole time. He forced Cass to meet his gaze and feel the fire of it. The reptilian gaze met Cass’ furious red one and Lucian frowned.

“If we include Gideon in this, you have another food source that you can rely on. I’m good, but Eddie doesn’t have the stamina.” Lucian said. He looked torn for a second. “I also…can’t always be by your side.” He admitted. It was a shock to Cass’ system. A double whammy.

“Are you planning to leave?” Cass asked, and then realised what that question revealed as soon as he asked it. Lucian’s grin was wide, and that only made Cass smack his chest again.

“I don’t want to, but I have urges. I will have to go check on my true den soon, and tend to it. That could take me away from your side for a while. Maybe…two months? It’s a ways away, and there will also be a dragon cycle that I’m going to have to tend to on my own.” Lucian said. Cass blinked, trying to think about what that could be.

“Like…a shed?” Cass asked and Lucian’s face crinkled up at Cass’ words.

“Mmm, something like that.” He admitted. “Which is why I’m so fucking annoyed at Gideon’s arrival. If it was just Edgar, I wouldn’t have to worry. But with him in the mix…” Lucian closed his orange eyes, shaking his head. “It’s selfish of me to deny you, when this is literally a food source to you, but I just want it to mean more to you, you know? I want to know that you’re getting your food from a good source.”

Cass was confused. First, he was revealing that Cass was watching Lord Ridgewood, but it was kind of for an altruistic reason? Then, he was letting Cass know he was going to have to leave for two months and so suddenly?

“Why didn’t you say any of this sooner?” Cass asked and Lucian gave a soft smile.

“It never came up until now. I haven’t had a need to do this for a while, but now? I think it’s because I’ve got you in my life that it’s started to show up.” Lucian said, his eyes curling up at the corners and making his already handsome face even more so. “It’s a sign that my body sees yours and knows that we could, uh, produce together.” He ended up saying, looking a little embarrassed.

Cass blinked, gasped, and then flushed.

“What?” He asked and Lord Ridgewood was still several steps behind.

“What is this about feeding Cass?” Lord Ridgewood asked, interrupting Lucian and Cass’ moment. Cass winced.

Yeah, that would…need an explanation.

“Cass is part incubus. Succubus? Sex demon. What do you think he eats?” Edgar asked and Lord Ridgewood blinked, before his face flushed.

“He’s eating you two?” Lord Ridgewood asked, horrified. He scanned Edgar, as if checking him for missing parts. Lucian let out a loud laugh.

“Gideon, come here.” Lucian ordered and Lord Ridgewood glanced at Edgar, as if to check with him that it was okay, before moving towards Lucian. Lucian shifted Cass in his lap so he had a different hand free and when Gideon got close enough, he flicked his hand out.

Cass gasped, Edgar gasped. Lord Ridgewood went rigid.

Lucian squeezed Lord Ridgewood’s junk, then let out a thoughtful hum.

“This is where Cass eats.” Lucian told him, smirking as he withdrew his hand. Lord Ridgewood dropped his hand, as if shielding himself from another sudden attack.

“He eats-”

“He eats cum, Gideon. Not pee.” Edgar clarified before Lord Ridgewood could embarrass himself again. “Ejaculation. It happens sometimes after dreams? The sheets are wet with something…not pee-like?” Edgar suggested and it was like a light went off behind his eyes. Cass was surprised that they had to use such a juvenile example.

“I, uh, you want me to help with that?” Lord Ridgewood asked, and Cass could practically see the man hyperventilating there. Lucian let out a chuckle.

“You can’t just give him cum. That’s rude, and you have to ask permission first. He needs to eat balanced meals, so meat, carbs, and cum. That’s his diet. Feeds all of the parts of him. Fairy, human and demon.” Lucian said as if it was that simple. Cass wanted the ground to swallow him up.

“Can you not try to rope every male out there into this?” Cass hissed and Lucian looked at Cass as if he was offended.

“I am not doing that. I know you have standards. Gideon…meets them.” He sounded very upset about that. Cass flushed.

“He might have his own feelings about this!” Cass hissed. “He doesn’t like me!” Cass was trying to be quiet about it and Lucian didn’t really have a subtle bone in his body.

“You can like more than one person, Cass. That’s very closed-minded of you. Are you telling me that you slept with Eddie and I without having feelings for one of us? How could you do that?” Lucian said, and Cass wasn’t sure why he was falling for his tricks.

“I didn’t, I wouldn’t-” Cass was stuttering again.

“Lucian, stop teasing them.” Edgar finally said. “Look at them. They are both spinning. Gideon, go to your room now. Take some time to think everything over. We’ll speak to you in the morning, and Lucian?” Edgar said, leveling the other man with a serious look. “Stop getting Cass all worked up. It’s not going to work out for you. He might kick you out of his bed.” Edgar warned.

“What? That wouldn’t happen. He offered for me to eat his whole ass.” Lucian said and Cass nearly choked.

“That’s a phrase! It means to go kick rocks! It’s not-I wasn’t offering!” Cass shouted and now it was Lucian’s turn to get upset.

“What? I was all excited thinking I was granted permission to do that! Are you saying you were lying?” Lucian said and Cass scoffed.

“Why the hell would I let you do that after all of the trouble you just caused me? I’d rather Edgar do it!” Cass said and Lord Ridgewood let out a soft laugh, surprising everyone. Lucian rumbled.

“See? Now he knows how cute Cass is. I don’t like this.” Said the man who started this whole fucking situation. Cass smacked his pec, and then got annoyed when it bounced and jiggled.

If things took a turn to the sexual realm tonight, Cass was going to make sure those fuckers left marked and bruised. He was not going to tolerate them coming out of this unscathed.
