Chapter 269: You’re too weak.
The one hundred star Links spread and formed a five hundred meters wide cage of black lightning around Alex and the spider lord, blocking the snow and everything else outside.

Only the two of them were inside the large cage of black lightning with Alex still firmly gripping the wrist of the spider lord so that the other party couldn’t escape.

The spider lord felt the danger from the lightning cage that had suddenly appeared around them. He tried to free his wrist from Alex’s grip but it was impossible as Alex’s physical strength wasn’t weaker than his, it could even be said that Alex was physically stronger in terms of arm strength.

Left without a choice, the spider lord proceeded to attack Alex in hopes that he would be able to break free that way.

But Alex suddenly released him just as he was about to attack and retreated some meters away.

Just as the spider lord was about to make a move, several thick lightning chains shot out from different angles of the lightning cage towards him.

The eyes of the spider lord flashed and he disappeared the next moment, his priority was to escape so he didn’t bother attacking Alex.

He wanted to break out of this lightning cage first and was confident in his speed.

But the spider lord had underestimated the lightning chains.

Immediately after he vanished, the speed of the lightning chains increased instantly, easily surpassing the speed of the spider lord.

Before the other party could even move for fifty meters, the lightning chains arrived right next to him as if they had teleported.

“The hell?!” The spider lord exclaimed, unable to hold back his shock.

He tried attacking but before he could even move his body completely, the lightning chains lashed at him like snakes.

They wrapped around his limbs and body, binding him firmly before sending waves of powerful lightning shock through his body.

“Arghhh!”

The spider lord let out a loud scream filled with pain, the shock from the lightning was just too much and he was unable to swallow the pain that suddenly appeared in his throat.

His entire body instantly felt numb but the lightning chains kept sending waves of lightning into his body, constantly shocking him while raising his body into the air.

A few distance away, Alex watched the sight of the once so graceful spider lord being bound by lightning chains while screaming like a pig being slaughtered.

The body of the spider lord was constantly trembling as lightning ran across the surface of his body, his white hair was already charred and his eyes had long lost focus.

“At this rate, I won’t even need to do anything else. He should only manage to last for a few minutes at best before dying, this ultimate lightning prison is stronger than I thought.” Alex mumbled to himself, extremely pleased by his new spell.

As expected of a spell that cost over a million exp points, it wasn’t just capable of trapping targets, it could also kill them by electrocuting them!

Since that was the case, Alex decided to watch till the end.

He at least wanted to confirm if his guess was correct, would the spider lord last more than a couple of minutes? How many minutes would he actually last?

“W-hat…is, this?!” The spider lord managed to spit out through gritted teeth. His vision was already blurring and it took everything in him to raise his head and look at Alex in the distance.

The damn human was staring at him as if he was acting a play for him.

“Oh, you can still speak? That’s odd, maybe the lightning isn’t really as powerful as I imagined or it just doesn’t have much effect.” Alex said, surprised that the spider lord could still speak.

As expected of a powerful Calamity rank beast that had forced him into a corner.

The spider lord was unable to hold back and spat out blood after hearing Alex’s words.

Didn’t have much effect? This lightning was killing him!

“Sh..ame,less hu..man, stop t-his spell…and…ight m…e faiiy!” The spider lord spat out a bunch of incomprehensible words with all of his strength but Alex was able to understand him.

“Nah, I’ll pass; you’re too weak to be my opponent.” Alex replied with a straight face.

Meanwhile, the battle between the spider army and the mages had finally come to an end on the other side of the eternal snowland.

Femi, Lucas, and the rest of the Saint rank mages immediately rushed over as they could still sense the powerful aura from Mr Chen’s fight with the spider lord.

Upon arrival, they were greeted by the sight of the ultimate lightning prison that had locked out an area of five hundred meters. They couldn’t see anything inside and could barely sense anything because of the overwhelming aura of the lightning.

“Is this Mr Chen’s doing?” The Saint rank mage from the third continent asked with a complicated look on his face.

They had come across several corpses of Calamity rank beasts on their way here; those creatures were without a doubt killed by Mr Chen during the past two days of constant fighting.

And now Mr Chen was still able to cast such a powerful lightning spell that felt overwhelming for even Saint rank mages.

He recalled arguing with Mr Chen the first time they met, Mr Chen wouldn’t hold a grudge against him, right?

“It seems like Mr Chen has entered the final battle with the spider lord, we won’t be able to interfere.” Lucas said, his eyes locked on the ultimate lightning prison and hid his worry under a serious glint.

“What do we do now?” Another Saint mage asked.

The howling of the wind was drowned in the cracking lightning as snow fell on the seven of them.

“Some spider Generals are still alive, let’s take care of them before Mr Chen comes out.” Femi voiced out after a while of being silent.

The others nodded, they had also sensed that some spider Generals were still alive after arriving here but those spider Generals were too injured to even run while Mr Chen and the spider lord were fighting.

They decided to do some cleaning up for Mr Chen before the lightning cage disappeared, it wasn’t much but it counted as something at least.
