Chapter 265: Appearance of the Three-eyed spider lord.
Screeee!
“Watch out!”
Bam!
A large vine that was several meters thick fell from the sky and landed on top of a two-meter-tall spider that was rushing toward a Grand Archmage who was facing off against another spider, instantly smashing the spider into a bloody mess before killing the spider that the mage was previously fighting.
The Grand Archmage had a tired look on her face as she turned and quickly thanked Maria for saving her life before retreating, it turned out that she had been injured and needed space to use her healing gel.
“Go quickly, I’ll hold them back!” Maria stated before sending out her vines again.
Two days had passed since the battle between the Union mages from the seven continents and the spider army started.
Both sides had fought relentlessly without stopping for two days straight with the spider army suffering heavy losses while the mages only sustained some injuries at most.
Thanks to the assistance of the seven Saint rank mages, the thousand-plus mages were able to get brief rests and gather some mana after long hours of casting spells.
The Divine rank spider soldiers had also greatly reduced in numbers. Less than a hundred of them were left after two days of constant fighting, and the weaker ones were on the verge of getting wiped out. Their corpses and traces of battles had long been buried in thick layers of snow.
Boom!
A strong golden light tore through the hazy white snow and crashed into the army of spiders, sending body parts and snow flying into the air.
Looking in the direction of where the golden light had appeared from, one could see Femi standing on a high snow dune.
“At this rate, we’ll be able to wipe out the army of the spider lord today,” Femi mumbled as he observed the battlefield.
While he wasn’t using any powerful spells right now as he planned on saving his mana in case of an emergency, he was still able to use weaker spells to provide assistance during the battle.
So were the other Saint rank mages, their physical strength alone was enough to make them a formidable force against these weak magic beasts.
“I wonder how Mr Chen is doing. He has been fighting nonstop for two days straight. Is that even possible?” Lucas voiced out, slightly in disbelief at his own words.
A lone Saint rank mage battling multiple powerful opponents for so long without rest, just how large was his mana reserve?
Femi didn’t reply instantly as he turned to gaze into the distance instead, the constantly falling snow and harsh cold wind created a haze that made it hard to see, even for a Saint.
But Femi didn’t really need to see anything; the constant tremor, shockwave, and powerful aura that he felt beyond the location of this battlefield were enough to tell him that Mr Chen was still alive and fighting.
“What a monster,” he chuckled softly under his breath, a slight smile hooking up the side of his lips as he returned his gaze to this battlefield.
“Let’s round things up here quickly and go provide support for Mr Chen; he shouldn’t leave the main fight to one person, even if he promised to handle it alone,” Femi said before his eyes turned golden and stars formed around him.
“Hmm, I agree.” Lucas nodded before dashing toward the remaining spider soldiers.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the eternal snowland where Alex was previously fighting the spider Generals.
Crackle!
Alex floated in the air, still in his lightning form, and he gazed at the remaining spider Generals that had managed to survive his onslaught for two days.
Less than twenty of them were currently still alive and all of them were currently covered in injuries after getting hit by Alex’s powerful lightning.
Even Alex couldn’t explain how they had managed to survive his constant powerful lightning attacks for so long.
But one thing was certain, they were no longer in peak conditions after facing him for so long and wouldn’t be able to last any longer.
Thanks to the constantly falling snow, the area where their fight had occurred had once again been covered in snow. The cracks, shattered mountains, blood, and corpses of the other spider Generals that Alex had killed could no longer be seen.
The only proof that Alex had killed them was the exp points which he had received in his system.
Whooooo!!
The wind grew more fierce for a moment before turning calm again, Alex was like a God of lightning in the air as he stared down at the remaining injured spider Generals.
He was honestly impressed by these spider Generals. No wonder the Calamity rank possessed such a name; they would have been a true Calamity for other Saint mages with how hard it was to kill them even without the help of those with defensive abilities.
‘That’s by the way, time to end this; I still have to hold three classes at the university before my one-week leave expires.’ Alex said inwardly, thinking that he had spent too much time on this mission.
But just as he was about to attack, he felt a presence approaching at high speed.
Alex’s eyes flashed as a name appeared in his mind.
‘The three-eyed spider lord!’
He didn’t hesitate and instantly made his body explode into lightning particles before moving to a different location, just in time before…
Boom!
Something appeared in the position that Alex was in the air just a moment ago and produced a violent gust of wind that blew away all the snow in that area.
A visibly clear space of a hundred meters appeared in the air with Alex’s previous location as the starting point; not a single drop of snow could be spotted within this space for at least 3 seconds.
It was as if someone ran their fingers across a bucket of water and parted the contents of the bucket for a split second!
“Oh, you dodged that?” a surprised voice sounded after Alex materialised into his lightning form, he had appeared some distance away and was currently staring at the owner of the voice.
It was a handsome man with long white hair who wore a long white robe with thick fur around the neck and a silver belt around his waist.
This person looked no different from a human except for the three eyes on his face, two in normal positions and a third, which was currently closed, on his forehead.
‘So this is the three-eyed spider lord,’ Alex thought to himself. Just from looking at the other party, he could tell that the spider lord was dangerous and might be able to harm him even in his lightning form.
That earlier attack was proof of how dangerous this creature was.
Similarly, the spider lord was also observing Alex while standing in mid-air.
He took a quick glance at his remaining spider Generals before turning his gaze to Alex.
“I can tell that you’re a human but you look no different from an elemental spirit, no wonder you were able to kill most of my Generals and even wake me from my sleep; you’re a strange one.” the spider lord voiced out, his words calm and not a bit of anger could be felt in his voice.
