Chapter 247: Grade five pagoda
The two who had appeared were a man and a woman in glaring red robes, similar to the one the kid Archmage had worn the last time Alex encountered him.

Alex’s eyes flashed behind his mask, and without saying a word, his mana exploded from his body, and he launched forward with shocking speed.

He appeared in front of Hell fairy the next second without warning, his right hand grabbing her neck.

But Alex wasn’t done yet. Before any of them could react, Alex’s grip on Hell Fairy’s neck tightened as he twisted his fingers.

Alex gazed down at the corpse that was now covered in purple lines with a raised eyebrow.

‘Another life-saving magic item?’ he thought as he recalled seeing the same thing when he faced the child Archmage the last time.

Casually tossing the purple corpse away, Alex fixed his eyes on the three people who were staring at him from inside the pagoda. He didn’t approach recklessly because even though these three were weak and he could kill them effortlessly, the pagoda was a grade five magic item that was supposed to be on the same level as a Saint rank mage.

And since he didn’t know its functions yet, he didn’t directly go after Hell fairy and the other two.

But that wasn’t a problem as Alex activated the skill of the all-knowing mask the next moment, the system quickly brought details regarding the pagoda to Alex.

Meanwhile, Hell fairy and the other two red robes talked between themselves while closely monitoring Mr Chen.

“He’s too strong, we have to leave immediately!” the other woman said with fear in her eyes. Even as a Grand Archmage with a lot of magic items, Mr Chen’s strength terrified her and she didn’t want to fight him.

“I agree, he’s definitely a Saint rank mage. It was stupid of us to think we could handle this alone, let’s report this to the saints.” the man in the red robe added. He was a Sage rank mage just like Hell fairy but he was certain that Mr Chen would be able to kill the three of them easily.

Hell fairy didn’t respond right away, her sharp eyes stared fixated on Mr Chen’s white mask. Just like her companions, she could already tell that Mr Chen was far stronger than they were, seeing how he had casually made her use a life-saving magic item which was extremely precious.

She was considering escaping but would Mr Chen allow them to escape just like that? And she was also suspicious of why Mr Chen was just standing there and staring at them without doing anything.

Could it be because he was cautious of her pagoda or was he waiting for something?

“Indeed, we can just leave and come back later.” Hell fairy added after thinking for a bit.

“What are you monkeys still waiting for? Get lost before I change my mind!” Alex spat, the killing intent in his voice caused the three mages to tremble.

Without saying a word, Hell fairy’s eyes lit up softly and the entire pagoda began to glow as well. The next second, it slowly rose into the air before shooting into the distance like a shooting star.

Alex didn’t move after the pagoda disappeared into the distance; he just kept staring in that direction while sensing how far it had travelled.

After standing for more than twenty minutes, Alex let out a breath.

“That should be enough.” He mumbled softly and his eyes turned silver white.

“Blink,”

Alex disappeared into fragments of silver particles right after his voice fell.

“It’s strange, I can’t help but feel that something is wrong.” The man mumbled with a deep frown on his face.

“I feel the same way, but we have no other option,” Hell Fairy said with a sigh.

“What’s that?”

At this moment, the red-robed woman who was at the Archmage rank suddenly asked while pointing at something in front of them.

The other two turned to look and saw a spark of silver white light forming in front of them which quickly turned into the figure of a person in a long black robe and white mask.

It was Mr Chen!

‘Mr Chen, didn’t you say you didn’t have time to deal with us today, and we could go? What are you doing here so far away from the City then?’

Biting her lips, Hell fairy didn’t stop the pagoda and continued to let it speed forward at full speed, planning to ram into Mr Chen.
