The family business has been doing very well lately; Zoran was even able to acquire the nearby shops and turn them into a part of the family business, where he also sells magic items. He also hired some workers since he couldn’t make his family do all the work.

Of course, Zoran and Freda still spent most of their time overseeing business and the girls would come to help them after closing from school.

Emily’s awakening period was approaching and Zoran was saving up to purchase an awakening stone with an affinity of the space element because that was what Emily wanted.

She wanted to be a space mage like her elder brother.

Today, after closing from school. Emily and Alicia had come to help out in the shop to attend to customers. With the reputation of the business growing, they now had more consumers than before and that meant a lot of people to attend to.

Alicia and Emily were currently sitting behind the counter of the main shop while several customers roamed the shop, looking for one item or the other. The two girls were reading some schoolwork and waiting for the customers to come to the counter with the items of their choosing.

At this moment, the doors of the shop slid open and a figure walked in.

Alicia, who had her head lowered and was lazily reading a book, suddenly felt chills all over and her eyes shrank. She slowly lifted her head to avoid looking suspicious and glanced at the figure who had just entered the shop.

It was a tall woman with sharp glowing yellow eyes and an extremely beautiful face. She had a slender figure with nice curves and was dressed in a beautiful long gown.

The woman strolled into the shop just like a regular customer who was looking to buy something, not appearing suspicious in the slightest. She had a faint smile on her face as she moved from one shelf to the other.

The other customers stared at her in awe, they were captivated by her beauty and body. But Alicia felt something different from what the others were feeling towards this woman.

Her beastly instincts were screaming for her to run away immediately and not look back! She could sense the intense bloodlust hidden behind that faint, gentle smile on that pretty face and the overwhelming strength hidden behind that tenderness.

This woman was dangerous and troublesome, no one good would ever possess such a level of bloodlust that they couldn’t hide completely.

Even that devil, Alex, didn’t have such bloodlust.

One had to understand that Alicia was a powerful Divine rank magic beast and shouldn’t even be afraid of a Grandarchmage, this woman was stronger than a Grandarchmage!

After walking around the shop for a bit, the woman came to the counter where Alicia and Emily were seated and dropped something on the counter.

It was a spell book of the fire element, a red star constellation could be seen on the front page of the spell book, which meant that it was an Expert-level spell.

“Hello, I would like to purchase this.” The woman said with a gentle smile, her yellow eyes scanning the two girls like a patient predator.

Alicia quickly calmed herself and attended to her while Emily continued with what she was doing.

After making payment, the woman didn’t stick around and immediately left with her spell book.

Alicia suddenly dropped to her seat after the woman left; her face was drenched in sweat, and she was panting heavily; she looked incredibly exhausted.

“Alicia? What’s wrong, don’t you feel fine?” Emily asked with concern upon seeing Alicia’s sudden state, and she suggested calling their parents to check up on her.

“It’s nothing, I’m just tired. I’ll be in the bathroom.” Alicia waved her hand and got up to leave.

On her way to the bathroom, she was thinking that she needed to report this to Alex as quickly as possible. Even as a Divine rank magic beast, that woman had frightened her.

If something were to happen, she didn’t want to think of what Alex would do to her.

‘Yes, I must report this to him as soon as possible! Although this person is scary with a lot of blood lust, the devil is still scarier.’ Alicia decided.

The devil she was talking about was obviously Alex.

After leaving the magic shop, the yellow-eyed woman entered a flashy car that was parked outside the shop and drove off. She arrived at a mansion in the heart of Balon City after some time.

Upon entering the mansion, she was welcomed by 2 other women.

“Hell fairy, you came back quicker than expected.” One of the women said, a hint of surprise in her voice.

“I didn’t think you would return till evening, is the City too boring for you? We could just burn it to the ground since Mr Chen isn’t here anymore.” The second woman voiced out with a lazy expression.

The woman who was referred to as hell fairy didn’t reply immediately. She lifted her left hand as a fire element spell book appeared above her palm, a crazy glint in her yellow eyes, while her lips hooked into a wicked grin.

“Actually, this place has a few interesting people.” She mumbled.

The other two women glanced at each other with curious expressions.

Alex had a few classes to attend today at the magic university, so by the time he was done with all of his classes for the day, it was still a few hours before afternoon.

He didn’t tag around the university and instantly returned home. Getting home, he ran into old man Harold.

The old mage said that he was about to take some young explorers out of the city on their family’s request and since Alex was also an explorer who hadn’t joined any group yet, he invited him to come along with them.

This would help Alex to safely earn some money while gaining more experience as an explorer.

This was him being considerate. After learning that Alex was from Balon City and wasn’t from a big family, he thought that Alex was taking care of all of his expenses by himself and wanted to help.

Alex understood this too and since he had nothing pressing to do at the moment, he accepted.

He could always return to farming exp any time, it was still important to establish his real identity as a young explorer so spending one day with Harold’s group wasn’t a bad idea.

Besides, Ellie had a favourable impression of him and suggested that Alex get to know him.

“Good, you can go and change out of your uniform. Meet me at the gates in twenty minutes.” Old man Harold patted Alex on the shoulder before leaving.

Alex nodded and headed for his apartment. He took a quick bath and changed into a brown shirt and black pants before coming out.

He arrived at the gates within ten minutes, and old man Harold was already waiting there.

The old mage expressed his surprise to see Alex so early, he thought that he would have taken more time before arriving.

Alex shrugged and said that he didn’t have much preparation to make.

“Not bad, that’s the right attitude that an explorer should have. Come, let’s get going now.”
