Chapter 216: You don’t look 16.
After separating from Zoran, Alex went straight to the Union building in Balon City. It was night already but the Union building still had a good number of people going in and out of it.

As usual, Alex used Void Walk to arrive in Clint’s office. Clint was surprised to see Alex and expressed that he had not seen Mr Chen for some time.

Alex said that was dealing with some private matters and wasn’t able to stop by. However, he was done with the things he needed to do now and was prepared to heard to Brandvel.

Therefore the reason why he had come to get the white tiger cub.

Clint had no comments on this and led Alex to the room where the cub was being kept. Upon entering, a streak of black lightning flashed as the cub pounced at Alex.

It still remembered him as the person who took the essence stone.

Alex’s left hand moved even faster and he caught the cub in mid air, his fingers gripping around his neck with just enough strength to hold it in place and not kill it.

After getting the cub which was the major reason why he returned, Alex didn’t stick around and immediately left after saying that he would come back when he had the chance.

And so, his journey back to the capital City, Brandvel, began!

By the time Alex reached Brandvel, it was already morning but the sun was yet to rise into the sky.

He headed for the Union Core Center and went in search of William.

After finally finding William, the man was as shocked as Clint when the latter first saw the elemental spirit and couldn’t help but ask where Mr Chen found it.

Alex said that he already had it long ago and had left it in the care of the Union branch.

“What do you plan to do with it?” William asked as he stared at the white cub, slightly fascinated at how Mr Chen was treating the creature.

Others would have definitely bought a special container for it instead of holding it by the neck as if it has the same value as tofu.

“I want to sell it,” Alex replied.

Just after Alex’s voice fell, someone walked into the office. It was Maria.

Her beautiful eyes gleamed with surprise as she stared at the cub.

“I knew I sensed something special. Mr Chen, what a pleasant surprise you bring us so early in the morning, we are more than happy to buy it from you.” Maria said with a smile.

“Mm,” Alex nodded.

The trading procedures were quickly taken care of and after the certain service fees were deducted, a black Union card containing a total of 30 billion and five hundred million Zen was handed over to Alex as his balance from the trade.

Alex calmly received the card and stored it in his storage ring before excusing himself, he said that he had other things to attend to and needed to leave first.

Maria and William didn’t stop him, they waved him off and reminded him to come back if he had anything else to sell.

After Alex left, Maria stared at the cub that was jumping around in a small transparent box with a delighted smile.

“Mr Chen really is extraordinary, to think he’ll bring an elemental spirit just a day after coming to Brandvel. I haven’t seen one of these in a long time.” She said softly.

William stood in the corner with, a trouble smile on his face.

This was another thing about the chief, she was obsessed with valuable things.

Almost anything of value would immediately enter her “want” radar, it didn’t matter if it was useful to her or not.

Something tells him that she was going to pester Mr Chen for what came along with elemental spirits.

‘Hopefully she’s able to control herself,’

Meanwhile, after leaving the Union Core Center, Alex returned to Brandvel Magic University.

He used Void Walk to cross the gates and appeared inside his room in the dorm section.

“Seems like no one noticed that I was gone.” Alex said as he looked around.

It made sense. After all, there were thousands of students in the magic university and it was impossible to check up on every single one of them.

The no-going-out until three months rule was only applicable to those who wanted to leave legally. To someone like Alex who could go wherever he wanted, that rule was the same as buzzing of a bee to his ears.

Since he had been out the entire night, Alex first went to take a bath before changing into new clothes.

It was a new week already and classes would begin as from tomorrow which was also when they were required to attend an orientation for new students.

So for today, students were still free to do as they pleased.

Of course, except going out.

Alex rubbed his smooth chin as he thought of what he should do for the rest of the day.

After giving it some thought, he decided to visit the training area and see what it was like.

Could it be the same as the training rooms in the Union branch and RWGB?

Going out of his room with the guidebook in hand, Alex made his way out of the dorm section and headed for the training area.

The university ground was very large yet Alex had to walk. He could see people driving cars and other magic items used for moving, thet were instructors and wealthy students who could afford it.

Alex wasn’t poor anymore and could afford one too, he decided to get a magic item next time he went out.

After walking for several minutes, Alex finally arrived at the training area.

They were a set of massive building built close to each other, lots of people could be seen moving around this area.

Upon getting close to the first building, Alex learnt that most of the building were off limits to new students. Some were even strictly for instructors and staff members only.

Wasn’t too surprising to Alex, he went to the one were new students were allowed.

Almost an hour later, Alex was done with his tour and want to return. The rooms in the building wasn’t too different from the ones he had seen before.

There were rooms for testing spell power, casting speed, a Mage’s reaction speed, and even where one could fight illusionary opponents.

They could pick whether the opponent would be another mage or a magic beast.

The only difference was that the level of the equipments and power limits of most things were higher than the one’s he had seen in Balon City but the power limits still didn’t exceed the Master mage rank.

Also guessed that this was because it was a building for training first year students and the other buildings would have higher power limits.

Alex was about to leave when he ran into someone he hadn’t seen since the admission test.

“Alex!” An excited voice called out from behind as Alex was leaving.

He turned around and saw Eric walking over with quick steps.

“Oh, Eric. You came to train?” Alex asked upon seeing the kid.

“I just knew it was you, very few people have your hair colour. And yes, I came to train but the things here are boring. Want to train with me? Let’s duel!” Eric said energetically, his eyes shinning with excitement.

Alex “…”

“How old are you?” He couldn’t help but ask.

“Huh? I’m going to be 16 this year, why?” Eric answered with a honest face.

Alex “…”

You don’t look 16! But you sure act like one.
