Chapter 595: Fallen Marshal
After creating the Fallen and choosing a name for it, he canceled its summon.

Of course, he also took a look at its rank. After all, it was the strongest Fallen he had ever created, and he was curious to see what rank it held.

Rank: Fallen Marshal

then turned his attention to Finn. He knew this baby dragon was strong, but what it had shown truly shocked him.

And was it really still right to call it a baby dragon? Just now, when it transformed into a dragon again, it had become even larger than before. It had grown that much in just one day.

But compared to the dragon he had seen at the end of the auction, Finn still looked small and young, so maybe it wasn’t wrong to still consider it a hatchling.

“You’re even stronger than me,” Daniel laughed and gently patted Finn. Having such a creature close to him wasn’t a bad thing at all.

Finn’s power was clearly far beyond normal S-ranks. It could even be said that it stood at the very top of the S-rank. The way it defeated that monster so easily was proof of that.

“When you fully grow up, just how powerful will you become?” He thought about it and looked at his baby dragon with a bit of expectation.

Could this hatchling reach the level of Demi Gods and even go beyond that? The level of true gods? Was something like that even possible?

“I guess I’ll find out sooner or later,” he murmured to himself, then took a step and flew toward the ship.

The ship was completely covered by his aura, and they could neither see nor hear anything from outside. He waved his hand, and his aura completely disappeared.

At the same time, the frozen part of the sea also vanished and returned to normal.

It was noticeable that with the monster’s death, the heavy rain and violent waves had also stopped, and fortunately the sea had calmed down again and there was no immediate threat.

“Are you all okay?” he landed on the ship and looked around.

“We’re fine, but what happened to that monster? What suddenly happened?” Kayn let out a sigh of relief when he saw that Daniel was safe, then asked curiously.

Before they could see what had really happened, the entire ship had suddenly been covered, and even with his spiritual senses, he couldn’t see outside.

He had been worried that something might actually happen to Daniel. If anything had happened to him, all his efforts would have been for nothing.

“The monster ran away,” Daniel said lazily. There were too many people here, and for now he preferred to hide the truth. Besides, they themselves had seen that killing that monster was almost impossible, so they didn’t doubt his words.

“Just the fact that you managed to make that monster run away… that’s really impressive,” Kayn sighed in relief. As long as there was no more threat, everything was fine.

“Hm? What is this you’re doing?” Daniel then turned and saw the ship’s crew and Veronica bowing toward him.

“Thank you for saving our lives!” Veronica and the entire crew said together in unison.

Their words made Kayn raise his eyebrows in surprise, but a smile appeared on Daniel’s face. The former noticed the latter’s smile and suddenly understood what had happened, and inside he started laughing.

Even so, he couldn’t understand why this man would do something like this.

“I didn’t do anything. Fighting that monster was unavoidable. Instead of thanking me, it’s better to get moving as fast as possible,” Daniel said in an indifferent tone.

“Understood, sir,” Veronica hesitated for a moment, then nodded respectfully. She knew Daniel’s words were modest.

He could have escaped with his friend and left them to die, but he stayed and fought, and even saved their lives. Life meant a lot to her, and the most precious thing she had was saved by this man.

How could she not be grateful?

She turned and ordered the crew to prepare to move as quickly as possible. The ship had been damaged, but repairing it was not a problem for them.

After all, they always had items for such situations that could help them. As they moved around, Daniel once again stood on the deck and stared at the sea.

Finn was sitting on his shoulder, and Kayn approached him as well. However, he didn’t say anything right away, as if he was trying to guess his friend’s intentions.

But no matter how much he tried, it was useless. No idea came to his mind about what this man’s goal was. He had thought he himself was mysterious, but now he had found someone even worse than him.

“About the Demon King’s children you mentioned, the goal is only to take them hostage, right?” Daniel suddenly asked.

“That’s right. That’s what was explained in the mission details,” Kayn was confused for a moment but then answered.

“Why did you suddenly ask something like that?”

“Just curious. Taking them hostage sounds like a smart plan, but have you ever thought about what happens if everything goes in a different direction?”

“You mean if the Demon King doesn’t act the way we expect and ignores his children?”

“The opposite. The Demon King gets enraged and orders a war against all humans, or personally comes to take back his children and refuses to back down,” Daniel replied.

“I told you, the Mad Empress—” But before Kayn could finish, Daniel continued.

“From what I’ve heard about her, that woman doesn’t seem like someone who would interfere. Besides, don’t they say she disappeared and then returned? During her absence, the Demon King might have grown stronger, or at least started thinking that way.”

Kayn fell silent and frowned. Now that he thought about it more carefully, it was possible. The Mad Empress had never intervened in any of the intercontinental or interrace wars and had remained as neutral as possible.

Whenever she did interfere, it was only when the entire world was in danger or when the matter was personal to her.

The human race only used her name to scare other races and couldn’t really ask her for help, since she simply wouldn’t listen.

No matter how cautious the Demon King was, he was still a Demi God. Even if he attacked and the Mad Empress intervened, at best he would give up and retreat.

That meant he didn’t need to pay any price, he just needed to test the situation himself. There was no need to even mention that the Demon King might think he had become stronger than that powerful woman over the years, or at least equal to her.

“It’s impossible that the ones who requested this mission didn’t think about this,” his frown deepened.

“Yes. The goal might not be blackmail,” Daniel nodded, then left Kayn alone and walked away.

These were just assumptions, not something confirmed. He only wanted Kayn to know that someone might be taking advantage of him, or that some people were planning something very sinister.

Time passed slowly, and before they even realized it, they arrived at the Gulf Of Sumer.
