Chapter 594: The Might Of A Dragon
“Finn?” Daniel looked at his shoulder. A small bird had landed on it, but he ignored it and instead stared at the monster.
“Didn’t I tell you not to come here?”
Even so, Finn completely ignored him and kept staring at the monster, as if looking at its food.
Its eyes suddenly shone, deep, cold, and like the eyes of a pure predator.
The monster, that massive creature, trembled. Absolute fear and terror could be felt in its eyes, and Daniel was also deeply shocked by this scene.
When he cut off the monster’s head, he had been able to see fear in its eyes for the first time, but this was different. This was more than fear. It was as if the monster was horrified and shaking.
What was going on here?
Was it possible? Could the monster be afraid of Finn?
He knew that beasts always kneel before creatures with stronger bloodlines and fear them, but he had only heard of such things and didn’t know if it was really true or not.
And why should a monster this huge and powerful be afraid of a small dragon?
The Devourer Of Tides let out a roar from deep in its throat, not to attack but as a warning, to show that it was still the ruler of these waters and feared nothing.
But to everyone’s surprise, Finn just let out a low sound, almost like a mocking and contemptuous laugh, as if it didn’t see the monster as a threat at all, and as if, in its eyes, the monster was no different from an ant.
The monster stepped back, and for some reason the trembling of its body grew worse, so much that even Veronica and Kayn could see from inside the ship that something was wrong.
“Why is neither of them attacking?” Kayn muttered with a frown.
“Why does it look like that monster is scared?” Veronica said in disbelief. Why should a monster that was almost immortal be afraid?
Then suddenly the bird’s small wings burst open. Bones stretched, feathers fell away. Its body grew dozens of times larger. The sound of tearing air echoed like thunder.
In a fraction of a second… the bird turned into a gigantic dragon, with dark scales and purple lines running across its skin like lightning.
An extremely powerful aura covered the entire area, as if the sky was about to tear apart and the sea was boiling.
Daniel quickly expanded his spiritual aura. The entire ship and its crew were hidden inside a dense barrier of energy.
No one could even guess that a dragon had appeared above their heads.
“That was close,” he sighed. If he had acted even a moment later, everyone would have seen Finn’s true form, and that could cause him trouble.
The monster, terrified, retreated. For the first time, the legend of the sea was truly afraid.
Its eyes were shaking, as if it could feel its own death. Its body’s pulse was uneven, and even part of the water around it didn’t move from fear.
It roared. Several times. Loud. But the trembling in its voice gave everything away.
Finn flapped its wings, split the air, and with a speed no sea creature could follow, slammed straight into the monster.
The impact sounded like a mountain being crushed. The monster was thrown back and thousands of tons of water rose with its body and then crashed down again.
Before the monster could take a defensive stance… Finn appeared behind it again.
One bite.
Just one bite was enough.
The dragon’s teeth, with a single sound, completely tore the monster’s head off its body.
The monster didn’t even scream. The terror in its eyes was frozen. Its expression was something between disbelief, fear, and pleading.
Its body fell toward the depths of the sea, but Finn didn’t allow it.
With a disgusting and savage motion, the dragon dragged the monster’s entire body out with its snout, exactly like hunting a mouse.
Even in its final moment, the monster didn’t understand… “How?”
Finn shook its body and announced its victory with a short roar.
“Okay, Finn, that’s good. Bring it up,” Daniel said with a smile.
He froze a part of the sea’s surface. A thick layer of ice formed, white and solid.
Finn threw the monster’s body onto the ice like a piece of trassh
A moment later, it shrank again, smaller and smaller… and turned back into that same cute little bird. It jumped onto Daniel’s shoulder and let out a proud little sound.
“Good job, you did great,” Daniel said as he gently patted its head and smiled.
Even so, inside he was truly shocked. He hadn’t expected Finn to be this powerful. The monster couldn’t even use its regeneration ability and was killed that easily.
Finn puffed out its chest, clearly satisfied.
Daniel stood beside the fallen giant body and closed his eyes.
His spiritual senses, like a cold wave, entered the lifeless body of the monster.
He searched through its bones, veins, tissues, and entire body to find what he was looking for.
“That’s it,” he said when he found it.
A heart, a dark orb. With a single move, Daniel pulled it out.
“This is really gross. I don’t know how I’m going to use it,” he said while looking at it for a moment.
He tossed the heart into his inventory. He had no idea how to use this heart as a source, and would have to test it later when he had time.
Then he threw a drop of his blood onto the monster’s corpse.

The sky split open.
A purple-white light struck down and covered the monster’s body.
Its skin regenerated, its scales changed color, its body shifted from blue to a galaxy-like purple.
Its eyes opened and it knelt before Daniel with respect and bowed.
