Chapter 584: First Sea Voyage
With the appearance of the young girl, the middle-aged man and all the guards behind him immediately kneeled in respect. The girl also ignored them completely, and her eyes went straight to Daniel and Kayn.

It looked like she was examining them, trying to see if they were the ones they were looking for or not. But when she saw Kayn’s face, she let out a small sigh, he didn’t look like either of the two men from that time at all.

Of course, one of those men had been wearing a mask, so you couldn’t really tell what he looked like. But just by the aura of these two, she could see they were not the same people.

Especially this white-clothed young man, his aura was extremely powerful, even surpassing her father’s. Neither of the two young men from back then had such an aura.

She doubted they could have become this strong in such a short amount of time.

So why did the device say that one of these two had a trail or aura connected to the people they were chasing? Could the device have made a mistake?

But that device was given to them by those behind behind them. It was unlikely to be faulty.

‘Do you know her?’ At that moment, Kayn also asked Daniel.

‘Her name is Jasmin, the daughter of this city’s ruler,’ Daniel briefly introduced her.

“So you want to force us to stay?” Kayn then looked at the girl after getting his answer, asking with clear mockery on his face.

The tense atmosphere became even more tense, and the cold air made the bodies of the guards surrounding them shiver. Even Jasmin felt the danger, but she tried to keep herself calm and not show fear.

“This is a security protocol, sir. Even though we don’t want to, we have to check you. Don’t worry, as soon as we confirm that you’re not the people we’re looking for and have no connection to them, you can go, and we’ll even compensate you,” Jasmin said with a calm tone, seeing that the situation could turn into a fight.

Even though this was their Zone, they didn’t want unnecessary trouble and conflict, especially since these two young men might have powerful backgrounds.

Kayn was about to respond again, but Daniel stopped him.

“We understand your request. It would be our honor to clear your doubts about us.”

“Great, then—” Before Jasmin could finish her sentence, Daniel continued:

“But we don’t have time to waste on you.”

Then he raised his hand, and his aura of death wrapped around all of them.

Before any of them could react even a little, their consciousness was forced into sleep, and they collapsed onto the ground — from the guards all the way to Jasmin herself.

Even though Jasmin suddenly felt shocked and terrified and tried to resist the loss of consciousness, it was useless.

Against a power far beyond her, she couldn’t do anything.

“It’s time to go.” Daniel looked at Kayn, then turned toward the portal. According to the staff member, he had already set the destination for them.

Kayn followed him, and the two of them entered the portal. The moment they stepped inside, everything around them turned dark, and before they could react at all, the space returned to normal.

They slowly opened their eyes and found themselves in a completely different place and city. They calmly stepped out of the portal; there wasn’t even a single staff member around.

“Weird… there’s no place to pay an entrance fee or something like that here?” Daniel asked with confusion as he looked at Kayn.

“This city is a bit different from the other cities you’ve visited. Anyway, this place is called Erindal. The portals here are government-owned, and their cost is paid by the government, so we don’t need to pay anything to enter the city or anything like that,” Kayn explained.

“Interesting. So where exactly are we on this world’s map right now? How far are we from the Gulf?” Daniel asked.

“We’re currently near the border of the continents. We’re about two thousand kilometers away from the Gulf itself. If we leave right now, with that flying ship of yours, we should reach it by tomorrow.”

“Then we shouldn’t waste time.” Daniel nodded, and Kayn walked ahead while Daniel followed him from the side.

It was a fairly beautiful city, quiet, strangely full of peace and safety. He could tell that among all the cities he had seen in his life, this one felt more alive.

He saw children playing, and surprisingly, many of them weren’t fully human. He even saw lots of mixed-race people.

That made him a bit surprised. Even though mixed-race individuals were common, they were still not widely accepted by humans and were often treated as slaves, especially in medium-sized and small cities inside the empires.

Now, in big cities, since many people from different continents come and go, this issue is less common and monitored by governments.

But here, in such a small city, mixed-race people were living normally among humans.

“Surprised? Border cities are like this. From the past until now, humans have lived together with mixed-race people and others in border cities without any issues. Since they were together from the beginning, neither side sees themselves as superior,” Kayn answered, noticing Daniel’s expression.

“So it’s part of their culture. No… their culture was built this way from the start.” Daniel nodded.

“Anyway, why did you bring me to a port?” Daniel asked as he looked at the sea in front of him, full of ships parked along the docks.

“Have you ever been on a sea trip?” Kayn asked playfully.

“I don’t think so.”

“Good, because you’re about to have your first one.” Kayn pointed toward the dark sea with the same playful tone.

Even from here, they could feel the terrifying thunder, storms, and massive winds happening far out in the distance.

And that’s not even mentioning the unknown and dangerous monsters living deep inside such an endless ocean.

“…”

“Can’t we just use the flying ship and travel through the sky?”
