Chapter 554: Sealing One Of Them
“This is the Grand Priest you wanted to kill,” Daniel said with a mocking look toward Sophia.

Sophia completely ignored him and looked coldly at the old man standing before them, laughing like a lunatic.

At that moment, she truly didn’t know what to feel. Was it even possible to kill this old man now? Just the aura radiating from his body was enough to make her entire body tremble.

No matter how reckless she was, she wouldn’t bet her life on this fight. Otherwise, she would’ve already fought Daniel earlier and tried to kill him.

Instead, she stayed back, just observing, making sure not to get involved.

“So, you’re the bastard who plotted against the temple. I should’ve known… But how did the Divine Bath not work on you?” The Grand Priest’s cold gaze fell on the white-haired young man, as if trying to examine him.

“It wasn’t strong enough,” Daniel shrugged lazily, not even bothering to lie.

The Grand Priest wanted to deny it but only shook his head, turned around, and looked at the ruined temple. He sighed.

“The temple is destroyed. God must be furious. And now, you must be punished for what you’ve done.” His tone carried a murderous intent.

The air around them started to tremble, as if reality itself was about to collapse.

“Looks like a power that doesn’t belong to you has made you a little too confident,” Daniel laughed, not taking him seriously at all.

“The power of God is invincible, you fool! Even if it’s not mine, with it, I can conquer the world!” The Grand Priest smirked arrogantly, full of contempt.

“Conquer the world? I thought you only ruled over a small city.”

“Of course, this is God’s will! He desires more faith!” The Grand Priest answered and then raised his hand.

Suddenly, a rift opened within the ruins of the temple, and a magnificent golden staff rose from the light, landing in his hand.

“Enough talk. It’s time for punishment. As the Grand Priest, I sentence both of you to death.”

The Grand Priest raised his hand.

The sky split open, and a sun rose in the heavens.

[Holy Eclipse]

The scorching brilliance of light melted even the clouds.

Daniel and Sophia were both forced to retreat, but the light kept pouring down relentlessly.

“I’ll restrain him! You attack directly!” Sophia shouted.

Silver light burst from her hands.

[Moon’s Blessing] formed a circular shield, radiant, solid, pushing back the priest’s divine light.

The moment she used her skill, Daniel’s attention shifted toward her.

‘A Law of the Moon?’ he thought. He hadn’t expected to see someone else using the same law as him and his guild. Laws weren’t exclusive, anyone could cultivate whichever law they wanted, but still, it was unexpected.

It was interesting, especially since her power felt extremely pure, perhaps even purer than his own.

“Now!” she shouted.

Daniel swiftly lifted his sword. A cold, dark aura of death spread from his body.

He gripped the sword with both hands and charged at the Grand Priest.

Clang!

The sword struck a barrier of light. The Grand Priest was pushed back slightly, yet he still smiled.

“Death is meaningless before God.”

With a simple gesture, he created a spear of pure light.

[Divine Judgment]

He threw it straight at Daniel. The spear tore through the sky, its sound echoing like the cry of a god.

Daniel instantly activated [Demonic Twilight Shield].

A black shield formed in front of him, absorbing the light and then firing the same energy back!

The Grand Priest was caught off guard and thrown back through the light.

But he immediately regained his balance, spreading his golden wings, [Wings of Benediction], and turning midair.

Sophia seized the opportunity and raised her hands toward the sky.

[Lunar Storm]

A radiant silver storm gathered above. Shards of moonlight rained down like falling stars from every direction.

The Grand Priest roared and expanded his golden aura.

Two immense forces, light and moon, collided violently.

An explosion shook the heavens.

The sky split apart.

The energy pressure destroyed everything within hundreds of meters.

Daniel emerged from within the explosion, his eyes glowing, his body covered in shallow wounds.

“Not bad,” he muttered under his breath. The blast’s power was truly impressive. Based on that alone, he could tell Sophia was the second strongest player on this floor, after himself.

Even Allen couldn’t have matched her.

The Grand Priest stepped out from the smoke. Half of his robe was burned away, but his eyes were still full of arrogance and confidence, as if nothing had happened.

“The light of God never fades.” Then his gaze turned toward the girl who had just attacked him.

“I didn’t expect such an annoying insect to interfere in our battle. I’ll get rid of you first.”

He raised his hand, and the ground beneath Sophia began to glow.

Golden light burst upward, [Burial Light].

Golden chains rose from the ground, wrapping tightly around Sophia’s body.

She screamed, “No…! What is this—!”

Daniel tried to move, but the Grand Priest shouted and raised his hand again. Tens of thousands of blades made of light appeared in the sky.

The blades locked onto Daniel and descended upon him, giving him no chance to react.

“In the presence of God, sinners must be silenced!”

The [Halo of Burial Light] around him flared brightly. All the small wounds on his body began to heal slowly.

Even all the energy he had consumed was fully restored. His body returned to peak condition, and he even felt stronger than before.

The imperfection that had been holding his aura back from reaching a true rank S had begun to fade.

Even he seemed shocked by what he saw. It was one of the divine skills granted by his god, he hadn’t expected it to work like a miracle.

His eyes filled with even greater faith and devotion. Truly, his god was omnipotent.

The air grew heavy, time itself seemed to pause. Sophia fell to her knees.

The chains sank into her flesh, and a bright light radiated from her body.

In an instant, her entire body turned into golden crystal, sealed.

“I would’ve liked to kill you, but consider yourself lucky. God wishes to see you,” the Grand Priest said coldly, staring at the crystallized girl.

Then his gaze shifted toward the white-haired young man.

“Now it’s your turn.”
