Chapter 518: Breaking The Gravity Restriction
The night was complete. The moon shone above the trembling canyon, and its cold light slid over the black rocks like silver blades.

There was no sound except for the calm breaths of Daniel and Drael. Even the mist seemed to be waiting.

Both of them slowly stood up and first looked at the sea before them. The powerful waves were still there, and their deep rumble sent chills down their spines.

Then Daniel turned his gaze toward the moon, checking if he could draw enough of its power for what he was about to do.

With his current understanding of the Law of the Moon, there shouldn’t have been any problems with his plan. But still, for some reason, he felt a bad omen deep in his chest.

Normally, if he was alone, he could easily break the restriction and escape the canyon in seconds.

But since he had to bring Drael with him, the difficulty was several times higher. He wasn’t even sure if he could make it.

He really wanted to leave that idiot behind, but something told him that Drael might be useful later. He just hoped his instincts were right.

“This might attract the attention of the beasts,” Daniel said quietly.

“Even that sleeping one?” Drael frowned.

“If we’re unlucky, yeah.” Daniel paused for a moment, his eyes flashing faintly.

He really didn’t want to face that “sleeping beast” they had seen in the carvings before entering the canyon. He didn’t know how powerful it was, but for some reason, it gave him a very bad feeling.

“It’s time to start,” he murmured, stepping to the center of the canyon.

Death energy burst from his body, a cold, dark wave spreading for kilometers.

Then, the moon above trembled, or maybe it was just its reflection in his eyes. When he activated the Law of the Moon, a pale light rose beneath his feet, forming a circle of glowing runes that began to spin in the air.

But beneath that light, death shadows spread. Two forces clashed, twisting the air itself.

“His control over two Laws is insane… how the hell can he do that?”

It was the first time Drael had seen Daniel using two Laws at once with such precision.

And the more he saw, the more fear and envy built up inside him.

This man could use two Laws, and one of them was a Supreme Law.

Only the gods knew how much talent that required. A talent anyone would envy.

Of course, if he knew Daniel could also use the Law of Eternity, who knew what his reaction would be.

Daniel lifted his hand, his palm trembling slightly, and whispered softly:

“Law of the Moon… and Death, become one.”

The ground beneath them cracked. A wave of gravitational force burst out, not like a breeze, but like a storm of pressure.

Rocks were thrown into the air, the mist was compressed, and the sky grew darker.

And then, from the depths of the canyon, came the sounds. Growls. Moans. Scraping.

From the cracks, from the walls, from the shadows themselves, hundreds of creatures crawled out.

Their bodies half-skeletal, covered in black wounds, eyes empty but filled with rage. Some on four legs, some with wings, some without faces. The mist slid along their bodies as if the canyon itself had birthed them in hatred.

Even the sea grew more violent, roaring as if furious at what Daniel was doing.

Dozens, no, hundreds, of Undead Sea creatures rose from the water and charged toward them.

“Daniel! They’re coming!” Drael shouted.

“I know. But if I stop now, it’s over,” Daniel replied, not even blinking.

Without stopping his spell, the ground beneath him turned red, blood spreading outward.

From that blood, hundreds of figures emerged, the Fallens

Without needing any command, they charged at the monsters of the canyon.

The battle began. Roars, crashes, breaking bones, and bursts of mana filled the canyon.

Black swords sliced through the mist. The monsters were torn apart, and from the ground, more replaced them.

A brutal, endless war.

But Daniel stood calmly in the center, completely ignoring the chaos around him.

He wasn’t worried. Those beasts didn’t stand a chance against his Fallen.

The moonlight around him expanded, forming a circle of light and darkness that reached up into the sky.

Gravity screamed. The air twisted. Even time seemed to slow.

He was now trying to destroy the gravity restriction covering the canyon’s sky.

If he could do that, he would eliminate all potential variables, and even fight in the sky if necessary.

If he only weakened the restriction temporarily, there was no guarantee he’d have enough time to escape. His instincts warned him that half measures would get them killed.

He also feared that if they didn’t completely remove the restriction, that sleeping beast might attack them once they were airborne.

By now, he was certain that the entire restriction might have been a trap, a hunting field set by that sleeping monster.

In other words, as long as the restriction remained, the sky of this canyon belonged to that monster

Cold sweat slid down his temple, but his eyes stayed steady.

“Break… damn it, break.”

Silver light poured down from the moon, merging with the energy of death, forming a thin line of white and black across the air.

A sound like shattering glass echoed through the entire canyon.

The ground quaked, stones shattered, and a massive pressure wave rippled through the air.

The gravitational restriction was broken.

At the same time, the battle below came to an end. Most of the monsters were dead.

The remaining ones froze, trembling in fear. They could feel it, the sleeping beast was beginning to awaken.

They all panicked and fled, disappearing into the darkness.

They had failed to stop what was coming… and they didn’t want to be here when it arrived.

The Fallen stood still, not chasing them. Daniel frowned as a bad feeling grew stronger in his chest.

He knew this wasn’t the time to waste even a second. With a small wave of his hand, he canceled the summoning.

The Fallen turned to dust and vanished into the air.

“You did it…” Drael muttered, looking around with wide eyes.

Daniel exhaled slowly. “We need to get out of here fast. Otherwise, we might never get another chance.”

Drael nodded, and Daniel grabbed him by the neck and took off into the sky.

“Can’t you be a little gentler?”

“You want me to hold you like a princess?” Daniel replied mockingly, making Drael’s face twist in irritation. He stayed silent after that.

Neither of them noticed that deep within the canyon… something was starting to awaken.
