The two famed commanders came just as Tang Shaoyang said. Niko Bohumir of the Bohumir House and Osmund Duval of the Duval House entered the confinement room. They had a regretful look on their faces, shaking their heads as they entered the room.

These two came to deliver the dire news about his execution. However, they didn’t just bring the execution news, but his family would be executed along with him to bear the sins of the soldiers who died under his leadership.

Niko and Osmund were surprised by how calm their friend was. They expected Alger to be outraged, but he was weirdly calm. They felt like this was not the same Alger they knew.

“Are you okay, Alger?” Osmund put his hand on his shoulder, trying to comfort his friend, “We did our best to convince the King to pardon you, but he didn’t listen to us. The Left and Right Ministers convinced him that everything is your fault, and it’s better to attack the Tang Empire again with our full force.”

“Have you heard anything from the Ridian Kingdom? What about the Crazules Kingdom?” Alger wanted to confirm Tang Shaoyang’s information, ensuring that he was not being lied to.

Niko and Osmund exchanged glances for a moment, unsure why Alger asked about that. However, they didn’t mind sharing about that. It was not like Alger could use that information to escape or something.

“We haven’t informed them about our decision, but we believe the Crazules Kingdom will not stay still. Crown Prince Aggy was killed along with the other nobles’ scions. They will attack the Tang Empire to avenge their deaths. We know how much the King of the Crazules Kingdom loves his son.”

“As for the Ridian Kingdom… We haven’t informed them of our decision yet. However, we believe they will join us too. They don’t have a choice but to join us unless they want to quit our alliance, which I think is not a good idea.”

Osmund was disturbed, but Niko shrugged. I guess it made sense that their friend started to act weird, knowing tonight was his last night.

If we can’t kill the Executive Administrator, it will be just a matter of time until he returns and attacks our kingdom. Niko and Osmund were ready to fight, but then the realization sank in. Their friend was right. If Tang Shaoyang wanted them dead, they would be ambushed and killed right away instead of showing himself.

Niko did exactly as Alger told him to. It didn’t take long for him to get the answer. Within less than five minutes, he got the confirmation about the Ridian Kingdom, which was still in an assembly.

However, they were not discussing whether to attack the Tang Empire or not. That discussion was over a long time ago. Niko and Osmund were hesitating at first, but they ended up agreeing. That was when they found that they just needed to sign a normal System Contract. That was something they often used as a lie detector. The trio signed the contract, and Tang Shaoyang stored it.

“Do you bring the key?” Alger pointed at the chain on his ankle. That chain drained his energy as well as his strength.

Before Niko and Osmund could answer, Tang Shaoyang reached the chain. The moment he touched the chain, it broke apart. At that moment, Niko just took out the key from his inventory. The same key fell when he saw what happened.

“Is that even possible?” Osmund muttered. Because the moment they touched it, their energy and strength would be drained as well. That was something they designed to detain a God Rank, after all.

“What should we do now, Sir?” Alger was no longer surprised.
