Chapter 2023: Finishing the Unfinished Businesses (1)
The meeting with his vassals made him realize how bad he was at explaining. The first ten people didn’t have many questions for him, but it was different for his vassals. They went into details, to the specific. Not just for the cultivation, but also for the Thousand Vows Pavilion’s structure.

He was exhausted from how many questions he answered, but he was kinda satisfied with the meeting because it helped to shape the Thousand Vows Pavilion. One of the examples: he asked his vassals to send their people who were not in a leadership position in their factions.

Each vassal could only send three people max to join the Thousand Vows Pavilion. These first three people were candidates for the Grandmaster position. That was the reason he limited the number. Once the Thousand Vows Pavilion was formed, the pavilion would accept more disciples, and there was no limit for this one, as the Thousand Vows Pavilion was part of the Tang Academy.

The meeting lasted for two hours. The dwarves at first had no interest in putting their hand into this sect, but they changed their mind when they found out that they could get their own fire with cultivation. There was something called a fire essence that could be absorbed, and this fire essence could be used in a battle technique, but there were many types of fire essences that were used in forging as well.

It was not easy to obtain a fire essence, but the chance of obtaining their own fire excited the two dwarves in the meeting. The Elven Kingdom’s question was more specific, a cultivation for a specific weapon, like a bow or something related to a specific element.

By the end of the meeting, Tang Shaoyang slouched down on the table. When he thought it was over, Li Shuang entered the meeting room, followed by four people in suits: three women and one man.

He immediately stood up and welcomed his wife. His eyes stuck on the bulging belly as a frown formed on his forehead, “What are you doing? Do you have a meeting here as well? You should take a break until you give birth to our son.”

He manifested that his next two children were boys. He already had three daughters, after all. Of course, he didn’t mind having more daughters.

Li Shuang rolled her eyes at him, “Aren’t you the one calling me to talk about contracts with caretakers? I have brought my team to ensure you will not be deceived.”

That was when he realized the meeting was not over. He still had a promised meeting with Azhug. He delayed one day, and today was the day to talk about the contract.

“Ah, right about that…” He nodded and looked past his wife, “Where’s YingYing?”

YingYing was the way he called Li Shuang’s daughter, with her previous husband, whom he considered his daughter now. He recalled how happy Li Jiaying, Li Yue, and Tang Xiulan were.

“We should bring her with us. They really like the garden.”

Li Shuang and her team still did not know what kind of place this garden was. “Aren’t we there for official business? We should not bring YingYing. You are spoiling her too much.”

Tang Shaoyang shrugged, “As they should. Tell my daughters that we will visit the Tang Garden again, Origin.”

He asked his AI to do the job, and fifteen minutes later, the three little girls arrived in the meeting room, accompanied by Lilliana. They ran excitedly, followed by the three small dragons above their heads.

“Can we bring Nana, Nunu, and Nini with us, Daddy?” Tang Xiulan jumped toward Tang Shaoyang as she pleaded. He told them not to bring the dragon yesterday because he was afraid that the dragons would cause unrest. He was still hesitating as he turned toward the three dragons.

The three baby dragons had puppy eyes, begging to join as well. He hesitated and was defeated by her daughter’s gaze. Six pair puppy eyes, there was no way he could win that.

The three girls cheered, and the three dragons were spun in the air when he agreed to bring them as well.

“Remember, don’t freak out when you see my workers. I don’t want them to be offended!” That was Tang Shaoyang’s warning before he brought them to the Tang Garden. Considering his workers were Ogre and Troll, Li Shuang’s team might be terrified.

Azhug gathered his workers with him in the Management Center building. Today was the promised day for them to talk about the contract, and they had agreed on something for the contract. The Ogre was visibly nervous, afraid the contract discussion would break down.

He had grown an attachment to the Tang Garden. Especially when he found out that his boss did not lie about building this place for his three daughters to play. He met the three girls yesterday, and he was happy to see how happy they were.

“What if they don’t agree with our proposal?” The Dryad, Lavender, asked in a concerned tone. They were about to propose something their boss would not agree with regarding their payment.

“To be honest with you all, it doesn’t really matter to me whether they agree or not. If they could not accept the proposal, I would still accept the coin just to continue working here. I feel like I am at home even though it’s just one month.”

The Troll, Elnar Harth, gave his honest thoughts. It would be nice for Tang Shaoyang to accept their proposal, but he did not mind if his proposal was declined. He shaped this world from zero.

He could be considered a founder of this place, which is the reason why he did not want to lose this job. His boss was not bad… Not just not bad, in fact, might be one of the best masters he had met in his life. He could put his trust in a loving father like Tang Shaoyang, who dedicated this place to his daughters’ playground. In fact, he was fond of the three little girls as well.

“They are here,” Azhug could sense the arrival of his boss. “We can ask for more time if we can’t agree to the contract today. Let’s discuss it again if our boss rejects our proposal. Now follow me to greet our boss.”

Azhug brought his four workers out of the management center. At first, they looked their boss in the eyes, but their attention snapped toward three little figures who flew around above the group.

Azhug’s eyes widened in shock, and the four workers had the same reaction as the Ogre’s. They froze on the spot while their eyes locked on three small flying creatures.

Li Shuang and her four workers had the same reactions. Tang Shaoyang warned them, but they truly did not expect that the workers were actually monsters. Li Shuang knew about Ogre and Troll. In fact, she had killed them together with the other girls.

“Elnar!” The awkwardness was broken by the three little girls who called the Troll’s name excitedly.

Li Shuang snapped in horror when she realized her daughters were running toward the Troll. She was about to chase after them until her husband stopped her.

“Calm down. Elnar is the gentle giant. Control your expression, you might hurt their feelings.”

Li Shuang calmed down a little bit with her husband’s assurance, but she was still worried about her daughter. She was a mother, after all. However, she was relieved by how gentle the Troll was. In fact, it was somewhat funny when the Troll looked at the three dragons. There was fear and nervousness when the dragon flew closer to them.

“Let me introduce you to my friends, Elnar.”

Li Jiaying pointed at the blue dragon that followed her, “She is Nana.” Then she pointed at the green dragon above Tang Xiulan, “She is Nunu.” Then she pointed to the red dragon, “She is Nini.”

Elnar was nervous around the baby dragon. If there were baby dragons, that meant it was a mother dragon. He must be careful not to accidentally hurt the baby dragon, or the mother dragon would come after him for sure.

He forced a smile, waving his hand at the three dragons, “Hello, Nunu, Nini, and Nana. My name is Elnar.”

The three dragons looked at the Troll curiously, with mere curiosity. “Let me introduce them to Aela and others,” the three little girls were pulling the gentle giant. The trio excitedly pulled the giant troll, and the latter did not resist, following them.

“Nope,” Tang Shaoyang appeared in front of his daughters, “You will play with me today. Mr. Elnar has a business with Mommy Li Shuang. You can’t bother him for now.”

Elnar saw how dejected the three girls were when they heard their fathers. He was not expecting such a reaction for children who just met him, especially for human children. The human children feared him, and it was natural for them to fear him because the trolls were known for their brutality.

“Ah, you don’t need to worry about it, Boss. I trust Azhug with my contract. I can play with them now.”

Elnar scooped the three little girls and sat them on his arm. The trio leaned against the troll’s chest, cheering as they headed to Aela’s home. Lilliana followed the troll closely, and she seemed to be cautious around the troll.

Aela was the Auspicious Mytherean, the regal cat in Tang Shaoyang’s head. Azhug named her Aela, and the beast spirit liked the name.

Tang Shaoyang was about to follow Azhug, but Li Shuang pulled his hand, “Where are you going? We need your opinion on the contract. We don’t know the ideal contract for your caretaker, so you must stay with us.”

His brain was fried from the meeting earlier, but he reluctantly agreed to join the contract talk. His wife was right; her team might be an expert on the contract, but they didn’t know anything about the prior agreement he had with Azhug. Since they had a prior agreement, Tang Shaoyang thought the meeting would be quick, but he was wrong about it after hearing Azhug’s request.

“Do you want to make a contract with one of the Beast Spirits from my Tang Garden as a payment? This is different from what we have agreed, Azhug.”
