Chapter 304: A bounty.
Sunshine spent ten more minutes thinking about what she would start with now that she had the license. If she opened a shop, what would she sell? If earth was still the old productive world before the apocalypse, she would open a shop in the food court. But sadly, that was not possible for now.

Another option was selling the things she repaired which went unclaimed. Maybe she could even create her own original item like the repairman that created the Lulu pod.

A smile formed on her face as the idea bloomed. The Lulu pod was ridiculously expensive, maybe she could create something smaller and cheaper, like a storage bracelet.

There was something she could sell in the food court for now: wine!! She had a lot in stock and Philip’s homemade beer too. The money she got from selling these things could be used to buy supplies for expanding her territory.

Cassius had used extraordinary building materials in Crosstown. She could clearly recall how those walls had been impenetrable. The towers he had built had been a sight of wonder. His city had been a marvel straight out of a sci-fi movie.

If he could do it, she could do it too, beginning with Busker town.

She vanished into the space and sought out the food court. “System what are the requirements for operating a shop here?”

“Sunlight! it is always a pleasure to see you.” Bjorn said, greeting warmly.

Sunshine smiled gently. “You too Bjorn. I am always happy to hear from you because you come bearing gifts.”

“I have good news.” Bjorn began. “I found the starborne dust and heaven moss you are seeking for. I need to know the quantities in which you will take it and how you are going to pay me as the middleman.”

Sunshine’s face lit up. “You did? I am glad to hear that. How much is the seller charging for them?”

“I already paid off the seller. But I was hoping that we just do an exchange.” Bjorn leaned forward. “I want more meat in exchange or grains even.”

Letting out an exhale, Sunshine thought hard. She still had the mutated snake meat, but she wanted to put it in her shop. As for the grains, she had already traded too much of it already. If she gave away more, it would affect her budgeting.

That is why she wanted to turn all of Busker town into a farmland. Grain was not just consumption but trading purposes as well.

“Unfortunately, I have neither of those today, I will be paying cash. If I get more meat or grains, I promise that you will be my first call.”

Bjorn leaned back, clicking her teeth thoughtfully. “I will be eagerly waiting then. It will be twenty-two thousand per kilo for the starborne dust and fifteen thousand for a kilo of heaven moss.”

“I will take five kilos of each first, if my experiment is successful then expect demand for more.” Sunshine said, quietly authorizing the system to go ahead with the payment.

Shortly after the payment was made, two boxes appeared on the table, each labelled with the contents and quantities inside.

Sunshine checked just to be sure, she now had two ingredients for the Reddix pills. “I guess that is it for today.”

“Actually, there is something that I want to ask,” Bjorn cut her short. “Do you know other universal repairmen personally?”

Sunshine’s eyes narrowed slightly, Bjorn’s question was unusual. Identities of repairmen were not things easily revealed. “Why do you ask?”

“Oh, simple curiosity,” Bjorn said lightly. “There was a name mentioned on the dark illegal channel. A repairman called Rocky.”

Her face went pale; her feet actually froze. The pounding in her heart could be heard in her ears. Sunshine forced a calm smile. “The name does not seem familiar at all.” She lied smoothly.

Bjorn continued. “Let me know if you hear anything on the streets, this repairman Rocky reportedly has an assistant, he doesn’t work alone.” She did not notice Sunshine’s stillness.

“I am curious to know why you are looking for this Rocky.” Sunshine said. “If you want something repaired, I could help.”

Bjorn’s voice lowered slightly. “I do not need anything repaired, there is a bounty on Rocky’s head. A large one. The request came from an anonymous client, ten million gold coins!”

Sunshine forced a breath, keeping her face composed even as panic clawed at her. “Unfortunately, I do not know anyone by that name, but that is one big bounty. I will pass this along to other repairmen. Rocky should know if he is in danger.”

For a few seconds, neither spoke. Then Bjorn nodded. “Very well, I hope to hear from you soon regarding the meat and grains.”

Sunshine nodded and ended the call.

“She sat there in silence, her hands trembling slightly. “System do I have a problem here?”

[Not unless it is revealed that you are Rocky. The Noxians must be behind the bounty.]

Of course! who else would it be? They are either hunting for me to fix their eggs or kill me because I have knowledge of their secret. Sunshine thought.

Her chest tightened with fury. How dare they? For a moment, she even considered reaching out to the rival alien state _the ones the Noxians feared the most and exposing everything.

Sunshine exhaled slowly, her anger fading into exhaustion. “Fine, I will let it go. I am the one to blame anyway because I took the job against your advice in the first place. I apologize for that.”
