Chapter 303: Game night at home.
When they returned home, most of their guests were gone, Lisha was the only one who had stayed back to keep an eye on the children. She could not escape faster the moment they sat down.

Sunshine made some coffee and tea for herself and Hades. Then, she visited the food court for some interesting snacks as usual. With all the gold she had earned, she could afford a lot.

The first snacks she bought were crunch puffs, a possible cousin to earth’s cheese puffs but better tasting, faintly green and crackled with static when bitten. “I know Castiel will go crazy for these.” She bought fifty.

Then, she continued scrolling through for familiar looking snacks, avoiding the weird ones like Spiced shells of So’rr which were marked as made from some kind of alien snail.

She chose some grazer jerky, neuro nuts that were said to rich in protein and black hole fish crackers.

Tank helped her stock the trays and everything was carried off to the living room. The children were still awake as the following day was a weekend. No school meant extra two hours up on Friday night.

“Who wants to try new snacks?” She asked them.

All the children raised their hands. White decided to just help himself to a cracker. Hades slapped it out of his claws.

“You are still on a milk diet.” He told the bear.

“I was thinking that we should play a game.” Sunshine suggested. “What do you guys think?”

“I am in.” Hades said. “Which one should we play tonight?”

Earl clapped continuously_ excited. “We have not had game night in a while. I will grab the consoles and…”

“No video games.” Ariel said sternly. “Not only will it affect your sleep at night, but it will leave mom out as she doesn’t know how to play.”

Sunshine smiled at Ariel; he was so nice to her. “Ah, my oldest icicle. Mommy loves you so much that she just wants to bite your cheeks and kiss them.”

Ariel covered his cheeks just in case she did as she said. Meanwhile, Castiel presented his for biting, kissing or pinching. She did all three before sending him away.

“Alright.” Sunshine said clapping her hands. “What game should we start with.”

“Charades!” shouted Castiel before anyone could object.

Hades groaned. “Oh no. The last time we did that, your mother acted out a microwave and we all thought that she was having a seizure.”

Everyone burst out laughing.

Sunshine threw a napkin at him. “That is because your guesses were terrible. Also, I would like to see someone else act as a microwave without looking stupid.”

“Challenge accepted.” Earl declared. He stood up and started drawing a rectangular shape in the air with his hands.

“Box.” Sunshine said.

Earl sighed. “You already know it’s a microwave. You kind of suck at playing games mommy.”

Everyone laughed.

Tank approached, his eyes glowing. “I can participate.”

“You?” Ariel asked, amused. “Your face is always straight, and your movements are too precise.”

“I can project what I cannot express,” Tank said confidently.

And he did. A glowing smiley face appeared on his chest while he did a weird break dance.

“A dancing clown.” Sunshine guessed.

The children screamed with laughter. But to everyone’s shock, Tank nodded. Sunshine had managed to guess correctly!!

“See, I am good at games.” She boasted.

“Alright,” said Hades, rubbing his hands together. “Let’s begin.”

Tank went first.

He projected an image of a giant creature roaring and flapping it’s wings. Then he started stomping around the room, making whooshing noises.

“Dragon!” Ariel shouted

“Eagle.” Hades said

“Airplane!” Sunshine yelled.

Tank suddenly crouched low and made a screeching noise through his speakers.

“Chicken.” Castiel tried again.

The emoji on Tank’s chest changed to a frustrated face.

“Flying dinosaur?” Sunshine said

“Maybe it’s a watcher!” Ariel said uncertainly.

Tank froze, then projected fireworks across the ceiling. “Correct!”

“That was actually so easy.” Ariel said, his tone boastful.

Sunshine scoffed. “I swear the image looked nothing like the watchers and I have not seen them stomping anything.” She jumped up. “My turn.”

“Oh, here we go…” Hades swallowed the urge to laugh.

Sunshine stretched dramatically, arousing many chuckles from the children and curiosity from White who was nibbling on a fish cracker finally. “Aright, prepare to be amazed.”

She pretended to be holding something heavy, straining and groaning. Then she tossed it forward with both hands.

“Throwing an ice rock?” Ariel shouted.

“Nope.”

The emoji in Tank’s chest blinked. “Throwing…..a ball filled with water?”

Everyone roared with laughter when Sunshine slapped her forehead. Obviously, she found their answers lacking. She touched the tool belt and repeated her actions.

“A hammer!” Hades shouted, certainty in his voice.

Sunshine bent over laughing at herself. “close….”

Ariel raised his hand desperately. “A big hammer!”

“Yes!” Sunshine pointed at him.

“That is what I said though.” Hades complained.

Sunshine laughed even harder. “Hammer and big hammer are two different things honey. Ariel wins this one too.

Hades came up next.

He looked smug as he stood up. “Watch and learn, amateurs.”

He started pacing dramatically, hand over his heart, then he suddenly dropped to his knees, pretending to cry. He drunk something, fell to the ground and died. Then he was resurrected and he stabbed himself and died again.

“Dad is just being dramatic again so that mom can kiss him.” Castiel guessed.

Sunshine squealed.

Hades broke character and laughed so hard he crouched. “No, I am not buddy.” He looked at his wife. “Start guessing.”

“Romeo and Juliet?” Ariel said

Hades froze. “How did you know? I thought you would never guess!” He looked extremely disappointed.

Shaking his head, Earl laughed lightly. “You are so predictable, it’s the book that you have been reading these days.”

“We all know who the true armature is.” Sunshine said

They all laughed, including Hades.

For an hour, they played and laughed nonstop, forgetting the outside world and all of its problems. Ariel finally suggested that they switch to a different game, Earl agreed but Castiel refused because it was his turn.

He stood and began to walk mechanically.

“Foreman Castiel we all know that you are imitating me.” Tank said in an obvious voice.

The room erupted in laughter again.

Ariel pulled out the Lulu trust beacon. “Let us play trust or dare”

“You mean truth or dare?” Hades corrected.

“Something like that but the Ariel version.” His brow danced as he spoke. He produced the cube.

Everyone shook their heads; they had enough of the dancing horned cat.

“I am going to bed.” Earl said. “Come on White.” He pulled the unwilling bear.

Castiel followed, the adults too.

“Hey, come back here. Why are you scared?” Ariel laughed as he followed them to the bedroom.

Later that night, after the laughter faded and the children were tucked into bed, Hades went out on night patrol duty.

Sunshine went to her office, still smiling from the reminders of the great night. Tank was in there already, putting the sun together.

Hardly had she sat down, when the system sent an alert.

[Congratulations, Host! You have successfully acquired your universal trading license.]

Sunshine froze_ then screamed, startling Tank who turned to face her.

“Foreman Sunshine, Is everything alright?”

Her head bounced up and down. “I am beyond thrilled; I got my universal trading license.”

“Congratulations,” he said candidly.

Sunshine thanked him softly, wondering what she was going to do next. Was it opening her own shop in the mall or expanding her interstellar business contracts to more than Bjorn?
