Bai Meiyue knew what this was about and sighed. She had a feeling that Old Master Bai called Bai Wenxuan because he wanted Bai Wenxuan to talk with her and her mother. Maybe he believed that Bai Wenxuan could miraculously make the situation better.

However, Bai Meiyue didn’t tell this to Fox. since Bai Wenxuan didn’t tell him the truth, there must be a reason why he had kept it from this man. Fox had long understood Bai Meiyue’s personality and knew that she would be really angry if she were pushed into doing something that she didn’t want to do. Fortunately, he had something to back him up or else he was worried that this woman would have ripped him a new one.

When he saw that Bai Meiyue’s attention was hitched, he smiled flatteringly and said to Bai Meiyue, “Though you have everything in your safe zone, I think you are still lacking in army weapons. As long as you are willing to go through this meeting, I assure you… you will get three chances to take any military weapon that you want. You know that the Bai family worked in the weapon industry? They are willing to do this little favour for you in exchange for letting their great-grandson be born safely.”

“Five times,” haggled Bai Meiyue, as she felt that she needed more than three turns for dealing with someone like Fu Wan, who danced in front of her eyes every day like an annoying cockroach and made everyone, including the doctors who were now suffering from internal heat due to all the anger that they were suppressing. After suffering from such torment, they were only going to get three turns to select the military weapons? That was really too low.

“Four turns. I am afraid that even if I put my neck on the line, I will not be able to get you five chances,” said Finn with gritted teeth. He was not lying when he said those words; he really couldn’t get Bai Meiyue five turns, as Bai Wenxuan was the head of the Bai family, and he couldn’t make such decisions on his own.

Xiao Wu returned just in time to hear Fox say that he was going to hand not only four military weapons to Bai Meiyue but was even going to hand her crystal nuclei.

However, she didn’t have any plans to let him off. “You should go and check the bill that Fu Wan had created after staying here. Let me warn you, that woman is really reckless.”

Fox waved his hand and said to Bai Meiyue, “It’s alright. I will see what I can do.” He was not worried when he thought about the crystal nuclei; he had collected so many crystal nuclei that they had formed three tall mountains, there was nothing for him to worry about. Even if Fu Wan was a strangely arrogant woman, there was no way she could have collected a bill that high.

Bai Meiyue knew what the man was thinking and curled her lips. It seemed like Fox didn’t have as great of an understanding as he thought when it came to Fu Wan. Because if he knew what she had done, he wouldn’t be this arrogant.

“How is Bai Feng? Do you know where he is at the moment?”  Bai Meiyue suddenly asked as she thought about her half-brother. That man hadn’t made a move till now, which was weird. As even Fox, who was weaker than him, could step outside the safe zone, which showed that if Bai Feng wanted, he could have escaped from that hellhole, but he didn’t. She wondered why Bai Feng was holding back. Was it because of Bai Xue or the Bai family? No matter what his reasons were, in Bai Meiyue’s eyes both of them were pathetic. The Bai family was not worth his sacrifices and what was even funnier was that Bai Feng knew this and yet he was still willing to continue sacrificing his life for that family.

Whether he was a fool or simply filial to the point of oblivion, she had no idea.

It will be better for him to die instead of living this sorry life, thought Bai Meiyue. She had no idea that one day she was going to regret even thinking these words.
