690: Yan Wanning is my daughter (II) 690: Yan Wanning is my daughter (II) Old Master Bai roared angrily just as Bai Jixuan and Bai Zhan came running.

Behind them, Lei Qian was also stumbling forward as he tried to stabilise his weight on his twisted foot.

They all heard the loud roar of Old Master Bai and staggered to a sudden halt.  Her father?

Yan Wanning’s father?

Their mother’s father?

But their grandfather had been dead for years.  Bai Meiyue was the only one who was shocked for only a few seconds before snapping out of her daze.

She had seen all kinds of things in her past life; how could such a thing shock her, but still-she was a bit stupefied.

No wonder, no wonder, the Yan family treated her mother so coldly.

They knew that she was not their daughter and had no scruples about treating her like a little slave.  When Uncle Yan heard Old Master Bai’s words, his eyes flickered.

He recalled the words of his dying parents, who warned him and asked him to never let Yan Wanning go to the capital.

They told him all about how a man came to them in the middle of the night and dropped the baby in their hands with the same instructions.

He asked them to raise the baby, but never let her move to the capital and in return, he would give them a lot of money.  Uncle Yan, who was greedy for this money, agreed at once and caused a lot of trouble when Yan Wanning was about to get rich, such that she would be dragged back to the mud and remain dirt poor.

However, before he could enjoy these riches for long, the world ended, and Yan Wanning escaped his clutches.

But he was not scared.

He thought, with a situation like this, how could Yan Wanning run into her parents, who would have thought that this woman would be this lucky!  She actually ran into her father.  However, there was no way Uncle Yan would allow such a thing to happen.

He smiled at Old Master Bai and said to him, “Old Man, I don’t know what this woman had told you, but you are certainly not her father.

Did she tell you that you are her father?

Then I am sorry to let you know that this woman already had a father, and he is now dead.

So, if you don’t mind, can you stop causing trouble?

This is our private matter.”  Old Master Bai was so angry that his moustache started to bristle.

He took out the DNA report that he had been carrying with him all this time and sneered.

“It’s a good thing that your father is dead, or else I would have killed him with my bare hands.

Not only did he steal my daughter, but he dared to treat her like she was his family’s slave?

How dare he?”  When Uncle Yan saw the DNA report, he was scared silly.

The second, the old man threw paper at him; he knew that there was something wrong.

He trembled and picked up the DNA report, and when he saw what it was, he was so scared that he nearly pissed himself.  “This-this, I had no idea about it!” Uncle Yan was truly scared now.

Earlier, he had heard about the crazy deeds that Bai Meiyue had done, but he was not scared because he knew that Yan Wanning wouldn’t let Bai Meiyue hurt him, but now-he was no longer Yan Wanning’s brother, and Bai Meiyue would have no scruples while dealing with him.  Uncle Yan was indeed right on the spot.

When Bai Meiyue heard that he was not her mother’s brother, she called Xiao Wu and asked him to drag Uncle Yan to the basement.

“Interrogate him thoroughly.

He should know something about the man who stole my mother.” In the past, Bai Meiyue hadn’t thought that there was anything wrong with her grandparents’ treatment of her mother; after all, many villagers were biased toward their sons and didn’t treat their daughters well, but now she had another theory.  “No, I don’t know anything!

Let go of me!

Let go!” Uncle Yan screamed and struggled against the boys, who went ahead and captured him right away.

They didn’t even wait for Xiao Wu to command them because they were already very angry at Uncle Yan.

This man had raised his hand on Yan Wanning twice, and they all took Yan Wanning as their mother figure, given that she cared for them like a mother.  They didn’t listen to a thing that Uncle Yan said to them and pulled him to the basement.  On the other side, Yan Wanning was stunned silly by what Old Master Bai said.

She turned and looked at the old man as if she were seeing him for the first time and stammered, “What-what did you say?” She couldn’t believe her ears and thought that there was some kind of misunderstanding.

How could she, an old woman who hailed from a small village, be the daughter of someone as powerful as Old Master Bai?

Even though she didn’t know anything about the Bai family in the capital, she knew that Old Master Bai was really influential.

The fact that even someone like Director Feng was polite to him was enough to prove it.  Yan Wanning felt like she was dreaming, and she was not the only one.

Bai Jixuan and Bai Zhan were just as shocked.

They looked at one another and then turned to look at Old Master Bai.  “Wanning, I am so sorry,” said Old Master Bai with a look of sheer discomfort and guilt in his eyes.

He reached forward to hug Yan Wanning, but she stepped back, looking at Old Master Bai with a wary look in her eyes.

She asked, “How-how can you-how can you lose me?”  Did they even know how much she suffered just because they lost her?

And they never even tried to find her!

“Wanning-”  Yan Wanning didn’t want to hear anything; suddenly she felt overwhelmed with emotions.

There was anger, joy, pain, anguish and fear.

Upon feeling so many emotions rushing straight to her head, Yan Wanning turned around and ran straight into the mansion, as she was afraid that she was going to explode.
