Chapter 402: Push forward
Roar!

The giant army marched forward, resembling a dark torrent rushing at high speed towards Dawn City in the darkness. They exuded a terrifying aura.

Kill, kill, kill!

A terrifying atmosphere and the thunderous cries of battle that shook the earth and sky reverberated throughout the world. The earth quaked, the heavens trembled, and the thousands of troops surged towards Dawn City.

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

Inside Dawn City, countless cannons fired. Innumerable shells rained down like droplets, falling among the giant army. The casualties were immeasurable.

However, these artillery barrages did little to slow the advance of the giant army. Their speed remained undeterred as they pressed forward towards Dawn City.

Fire! Fire! Fire!

Calvert roared from the walls of Dawn City. “These bastards have no fear of death! They witnessed the power of the laser cannons last night, and yet they haven’t learned their lesson!”

Silva wore a grim expression. “If that’s how they want it, then let them all die!”

All laser cannons were ready, poised to greet the enemy with their deadly beams, intent on eliminating them and shattering their resolve.

Soon, the Undersea Giant army approached Dawn City. A multitude of laser beams were launched, and for a moment, the world became illuminated as if the entire night sky had burst into flashes. It was a blinding, radiant spectacle.

But, at the same time, it emitted an overwhelming sense of danger. Some of the giants in the front screamed in agony as they were shot by the laser cannons. In the sky, intense battles raged as numerous mechanical giants and drones clashed.

Occasionally, giants broke through the layers of defense and reached the skies above Dawn City, launching attacks that resulted in many casualties on the city walls.

The fierce battle, compared to the previous night, appeared to be much more intense and the situation grew increasingly dire, with a much longer duration.

However, on the city walls, Calvert and others furrowed their brows. Something was amiss, and it was entirely different from the previous night.

While these giants charged ferociously and attacked with great determination, once they reached the optimal range for the laser cannons, they stopped.

Up to this point, only a few hundred giants had been killed by the laser cannons. With a million-strong army, this was a very small number.

Calvert, Silva, Stanley, and even Alanna and Helen, who were controlling the overall situation in the background, were all very puzzled.

They wondered what the Undersea Giants were really up to. Did they have some sort of hidden agenda? Were they trying to deplete their ammunition?

Silva let out a cold laugh. “It’s impossible. Our laser cannons are powered by electricity, and as long as Dawn City remains intact, our power supply is endless. There’s no way they can deplete our ammunition.”

“They’ve made a mistake!” Calvert chuckled.

Everyone nodded in agreement. With the city walls and an array of weapons and equipment, they formed an impregnable defense. Even if the gods themselves were to come, they wouldn’t be able to break through.

The battle continued for nearly half an hour, and during that time, it was fiercely fought. However, the Undersea Giants were clearly controlling their casualties, not allowing themselves to get too close to Dawn City. As they moved farther away, the effectiveness of the laser cannons diminished.

Suddenly, a resounding roar of “Kill!” erupted, formed by the collective anger of tens of thousands of giant soldiers.

In an instant, an endless malevolent aura erupted like surging ocean waves, charging relentlessly towards Dawn City.

Simultaneously, the deities forming above the giant army, accompanying this word “Kill,” transformed into a massive blade that descended upon Dawn City.

“Watch out!” Calvert, Silva, and others saw the situation and their faces turned grim. Without a second thought, they shouted aloud!

And in the next moment, there was a thunderous roar. The formidable and unyielding walls of Dawn City trembled, displaying massive scars on the surface.

Ah!

Ah!

Ah!

On top of the city walls, people fell and tumbled, many survivors clutching their heads and wailing loudly.

“Get up immediately! Go back and kill these invaders! Be alert, don’t let the giant army break through our defenses!” Silva and Calvert reminded the group.

At this moment, another group of giants approached Dawn City. These were four exceptionally massive yet extremely agile giants. Their speed was so astonishing that they left the other giants far behind.

“Ha-ha-ha! Charge! Slaughter Dawn City!” They laughed heartily, their intentions clear. “Kill, kill, kill! Exterminate these ants!”

The four giants hadn’t even reached the city walls yet, but they were already laughing triumphantly.

In no time, they covered several miles, displaying an arrogant attitude. Simultaneously, they radiated an overwhelming presence that was akin to a vast ocean, evoking a sense of invincibility like mountains and binder combined.

“Uh-oh, these are the demi-gods of the Undersea Giants! How dare they make a move? Aren’t they afraid of the city’s lord?” Calvert and the others suddenly changed their expressions. They had been confident that the giant army couldn’t breach Dawn City and were unafraid of the powerful demi-gods, as they knew that the city’s lord wouldn’t easily take action.

However, these demi-gods couldn’t hold back any longer.

But…

Waldo was in seclusion!

“No, we can’t disturb the lord’s upgrading!” Silva shook his head vigorously.

Then, with determination, he gritted his teeth. “We can’t disappoint the city’s lord. No matter what, we must hold off the giant demi-gods!”

Under his command, many survivors operated laser cannons, targeting the four demi-gods. In an instant, countless laser beams shot forth, enveloping the four demi-gods.

Ah!

One of the demi-gods screamed in agony. This person was the leading Second Warlord. He had rushed ahead and bore the brunt of the laser barrage. Despite attempting to dodge, there were simply too many laser beams to avoid.

The Second Warlord screamed, his face contorted. Despite his formidable physique, which had survived missile attacks, he was utterly miserable facing the laser cannons. His entire body was nearly charred.

“Damn it! You ants can only resist us with external help. Otherwise, you would have been wiped out by my Undersea Army countless times already! Damn it, you’re looking for death!!!”

Due to the intense pain, the Second Warlord’s face twisted, and his eyes were filled with boundless resentment, as if he wanted to exterminate all survivors.

The other three demi-gods were in no better shape, injured and not in great condition. However, at this moment, they were very close to Dawn City.
