Chapter 1692: Ending the Limestone Valley War (Part 2)
Tacky and the others were fearless and were still shouting like they weren’t afraid!

“GET THEM! THEY MADE YOU SUFFER SO MUCH! GET THEEMMMMMM!!” the young man screamed, making the slaves more passionate. Not only were they holding down the guards, but they were also punching them over and over.

“BITE THEM! PUNCH THEM! MAKE SURE THEY WOULDN’T BE ABLE TO MOVE A LIMB ANYMORE!”

“You don’t want to be hurt by them anymore? You have the power to do so! HOLD THEM DOWN!”

“FIGHT FOR YOUR RIGHTS! FIGHT FOR YOUR FREEDOM!” Juan Moon yelled. He was an activist back in Uni, so he knew a lot of chants.

He never actually ran out and there was no repeated chant every five minutes or so.

This shamelessness just irked the Inko people even more. “You bast—” they cursed, pushing their limits and pushing the slaves, doing their best to get to the noisy bastards to shut those damned mouths.

Fortunately, the few mercenaries and their own powerhouses wouldn’t be taken down so easily just by numbers! By this time, the slaves had also ran out of mana, so they could no longer shower them with elements.

The slaves in here were hundreds and hundreds in number. Before the war, they were on their side, so there were fewer mercenaries and guards assigned in this area.

Who’d have thought it’d all work against them?

That said, because there were hundreds of elementalists there, even if they were much stronger on average, how could they go against a shower of elements? Even if each attack was weak, what about hundreds?

So, all this time, the mercenaries were left in a defensive position, and they could only breathe when the slaves’ manas ran out. Some were smart and completely focused on the defense, waiting for this to happen.

As such, although everyone on the Inko side, guard or mercenary, was bleeding, many of the stronger ones could still move. Their defense equipment was mostly spent, though, and many of them had expensive equipment!

They were bleeding, in pain, and their precious equipment was broken. They were definitely vindictive enough to make their enemies suffer as soon as they got hold of them!

There were still about a dozen mercenaries like this at this time, and their eyes were red in humiliation and anger. They used their remaining mana to use skills on the people around them, throwing them off, some losing consciousness as soon as they landed.

Because most of the slaves and some Limestone Villagers had spent their mana and stamina barraging the powerful mercenaries with attacks, many of them were thrown out very easily.

It was risky to spend so much of their dwindling mana, but they couldn’t be drowned by the mass of enemies anymore!

The guard leader—who was now being bitten by random slaves just to hurt him—saw this and immediately felt hope. He screamed at them, begging. “SIRS!” he pointed at Tacky and them. “PLEASE TAKE THOSE PEOPLE DOWN!”

They didn’t have to order them!

How could they forget how these damned bastards—a few levels weaker—dared to order slaves to barrage them to death!?

They were determined to dismember each of them! Starting with those pesky tongues!

However, just before they could get to the activists, creatures appeared in front of them, biting their legs and smacking them back to the ground.

BANG!

GRRRR—

The ‘loose’ Inko Villagers were quickly taken down, some by humans but mostly… by beasts! Within the next few minutes, there were no more ambulatory guards and mercenaries in the area, and they could only gasp as they were taken down one by one, so helplessly.

Many of them spent their remaining mana in an effort to retaliate, but all that did was scratch the thick skin of the damned beasts, and many of them would either get bitten or clawed in response.

There was no way normal beasts could be tamed to fight. At best, they could only be ordered as mounts! So these were—

“BATTLE PETS!?”

The guard gasped when he saw there was more than just this big golden creature. There was a white one, a bright one, a black-and-white chubby one, and so on.

Each of them was powerful in their own right, swiping down the mercenaries—all of whom were already weakened by the previous fights—with a single paw.

The black-and-white one just sat down on one! Before rolling over him again and again!

“HOW CAN THERE BE SO MANY BATTLE PETS?!”

They seemed to have arrived with the latest breach, and they were definitely overpowering.

Beasts generally were physically more powerful than humans of their level, so even if they were just within the level cap, or maybe even levels more, it was easy for them to throw humans around.

“YOU WRETCHED CREATURES!!” One of the leading mercenaries raised his sword, and it was surrounded by flames. He, too, was an elementalist. He had always been proud, and he thought it was overkill for him to join so many mercenaries in a village war.

Who’d have thought that when he got here, his element became nothing special, and even after consuming a good portion of his mana, the enemies were still alive.

He had no choice but to use his finishing move, which would completely consume him, and also make him immobile for a while.

What choice did he have? Everywhere around him were losing fights. Worse, beasts.

He was determined to use this technique, wherein a slash could take down several humans—and hopefully, a few beasts—to death!

Bloodied and livid, he targeted the weakened enemies, determined to take as many people down as possible. He didn’t even care if he still had teammates in there.

“Cover me!” he yelled, getting the guards to guard his back while he performed his skill.

[Raging Inferno]

Intense fire elements surrounded him, slowly concentrating on his sword.

However, just as he slashed down his last attack, he felt something appear from the side.

It was a large mouth with sharp teeth and bad breath.

The next thing people knew, his head was inside a monster’s mouth, detached from his body.

Clank!

His Class D weapon fell onto the pavement, and the flames that surrounded it dissipated, as if they were never there.

Crunch!

And even his head was crushed.
