Absolute Cheater - Chapter 529
Chapter 529: Bionics XXXII
As the heavy door slid open, the grinding metal echoed through the loading bay.
Cold air rushed out—sharp, dry, and unnaturally still.
Asher and the Knight stood side by side again.
Both bruised.
Both tired.
Both ready.
The lights inside the new room flickered once… twice… then stayed dim.
Something big moved in the shadows.
A massive shape stepped forward—slow, deliberate, each footstep making the floor vibrate.
Then the figure emerged fully.
A towering machine, taller than any of the others, walked into the bay.
Its armor was thicker, layered like overlapping plates.
Its arms were long and heavy, ending in giant reinforced fists.
Its visor glowed a deep, burning orange.
A label stretched across its chest:
OMEGA-4X // TITAN UNIT
Asher’s eyes widened slightly.
“…That’s new.”
The Knight exhaled slowly. “That thing might be stronger than the Power Unit.”
Asher smirked. “Yeah. I was afraid you’d say that.”
The Titan Unit stopped in front of them.
Then its visor shifted—forming two bright circles, scanning both of them up and down.
A flat, rumbling voice spoke:
“ALL PREVIOUS UNITS: TERMINATED.”
“NEW PROTOCOL: FULL FORCE ELIMINATION.”
Asher cracked his knuckles.
“Full force? Perfect.”
The Titan raised both arms.
The plating on its shoulders opened slightly—steam blasting out in thick jets.
The floor under its feet creaked.
It was charging up.
The Knight tightened his grip on his blade.
“Asher… we hit it together. Anything else is suicide.”
“Yeah,” Asher said, lowering his stance. “Wouldn’t want to die tired.”
The Titan Unit moved.
Fast.
Unnaturally fast for something so massive.
It swung one arm down like a falling boulder—straight at both of them.
Asher shoved the Knight aside and jumped back as the fist slammed into the ground.
The impact cracked the floor all the way to the wall.
The Titan stood up straight again, preparing its next attack.
Asher wiped sweat from his brow.
“Okay… round three is looking ugly.”
He glanced at the Knight.
“You ready?”
The Knight nodded once.
“As ready as I ever am.”
Asher grinned slightly, despite the situation.
“Good. Then let’s break this oversized fridge.”
The Titan Unit crouched low, shoulders steaming, fists tightening.
Then it charged.
And both Asher and the Knight rushed forward to meet it.
The three of them collided in the center of the bay like crashing boulders.
The Titan swung first—both fists dropping in a hammer-like strike meant to crush anything in front of it.
Asher and the Knight split apart at the last moment.
The fists smashed into the floor, cracking it even deeper.
Asher sprinted along the Titan’s right side, aiming for the gap between its shoulder plates—
But the Titan reacted instantly.
It twisted, faster than its size should allow, and its massive arm swept sideways.
Asher barely jumped back in time.
The metal fist tore through the air where his head had been.
The Knight darted in behind it, blade flashing.
He slashed at the joint behind the Titan’s knee.
Sparks burst—but the blade only cut halfway through the armor.
The Titan stomped backward.
The Knight rolled away just before the massive foot could crush him.
The Titan straightened and turned toward Asher again.
Its visor glowed brighter.
“TARGET: ASHER. PRIMARY THREAT.”
Asher snorted. “Yeah, figures.”
The Titan charged him.
Asher braced, then dove under its arm, sliding across the floor until he was behind it.
He sprang up and drove a punch into the back plating.
The metal dented—but didn’t break.
He growled under his breath.
“Seriously? What is this thing made of?”
Before he could attack again, the Titan spun around, its huge fist already swinging.
Asher crossed his arms and blocked—
The force sent him flying across the bay.
He crashed into a crate, splintering it apart before rolling onto the ground.
“Asher!” the Knight shouted.
“I’m good!” Asher yelled back, forcing himself up. “Just… a little airborne.”
The Titan stomped toward him.
Each step was like a drumbeat.
BOOM.
BOOM.
BOOM.
The Knight ran in from the side, slicing across its hip plating.
The blade dug in deeper this time—but still didn’t fully break through.
The Titan turned toward him, raising one massive arm—
Asher was already moving.
He sprinted forward and jumped, grabbing onto the Titan’s shoulder plating.
The metal was hot to the touch.
“Hey!” Asher shouted. “Up here!”
The Titan reached up, trying to swat him off.
Asher climbed higher, grabbing onto the edge of the armor near its neck.
The Titan swung again.
Asher narrowly shifted aside, the huge palm scraping across his ribs.
“Knight! Get its legs again!” Asher yelled.
The Knight understood immediately.
He dashed forward and slashed at the Titan’s knee joint again—same spot, deeper this time.
A loud crack echoed.
The Titan’s leg buckled slightly.
Asher pulled himself up onto its back and wrapped both arms around the top plating near the head.
“Let’s see how tough your neck is!”
He planted his feet and pulled.
Hard.
Metal shrieked.
The Titan roared in a glitching mechanical voice and flung itself backward—
Slamming its weight into the wall.
Asher gritted his teeth as the impact rattled his bones.
He almost slipped off—but held on.
“Alright,” he panted. “You wanna play rough? Fine.”
He repositioned himself, gripping the upper plating with both hands, muscles flexing.
“Knight!” Asher shouted. “Hit the knee—again!”
The Knight sprinted in and slashed the weakened joint one more time.
This time—the armor cracked wide open.
The Titan dropped to one knee.
Asher shouted, “Hold it!”
The Knight rammed his shoulder against the back of the Titan’s other leg, keeping it unbalanced for a second longer.
That was all Asher needed.
He planted his feet, took a deep breath—
And pulled with everything he had.
The plating around the Titan’s neck tore open—
Exposing cables, glowing wires, and the inner core protections.
The Titan roared again, flailing wildly.
Asher held on, teeth gritted.
“Come on… come on—break!”
The metal began to give.
Then—
It snapped.
A shower of sparks burst out.
The Titan’s head jerked forward, half-detached, its visor flickering violently.
The Knight staggered back, breathing hard.
Asher hung off the Titan’s back for a moment, then let go and dropped to the ground.
The Titan was still trying to stand, but its movements were broken—glitching.
Asher cracked his knuckles.
“Time to finish it.”
He stepped forward, grabbed the half-torn head with both hands—
And ripped it the rest of the way off.
The Titan froze.
Its huge body swayed once…
…then toppled over like a falling building.
BOOM.
Dust shook from the ceiling.
Sparks scattered across the floor.
Asher exhaled heavily, dropping the severed head beside the wreck.
The Knight lowered his sword, breathing just as hard.
Asher wiped sweat from his forehead.
“That,” he muttered, “better be the last one.”
The Knight nodded slowly.
“…We can hope.”
But then—
A low, distant vibration rolled through the floor.
Asher looked toward the far wall.
Another door was beginning to unlock.
He stared at it.
Then groaned loudly.
“Oh, come ON.”
